"What. Universe 6 still had a trump card like that?"
Beerus gaped. Kale was walking straight through Goku's full power Kamehameha, and his claws dug into the railing. He had pinned the hopes of Universe 7 on Goku. Yet in Kale's hands he looked like a child, unable to so much as scratch her and a breath away from being crushed.
"I did not expect a reversion to ancestral type in a girl from Universe 6," Whis murmured, eyes narrowing as he studied the berserker aura.
"Can Goku still win," Beerus asked, voice tight.
Whis said nothing. He nodded. Then he shook his head.
On the arena, Kale kept advancing through the beam, skin unmarked, eyes empty white. The distance closed inch by inch while Goku poured everything he had into the wave.
"Son... Goku."
She barked his name, reached into the light, seized him by the chest and flung him like a doll.
What followed froze the gods.
With Goku temporarily swatted away, Kale planted her feet and howled. Green ki knifed into the void. A storm of emerald blasts fanned out from her like a monsoon.
Boom. Boom.
In a heartbeat the stage turned into a furnace. Blasts pelted the tiles like a hail of meteors.
"Run, Agreed. Run," Botamo squealed from his perch on Auta Magetta's shoulders as they tried to weave through the barrage. A direct hit sent both tumbling, then a sheet of rubble buried them.
"Kale."
Caulifla called, and a blast took her full on, hurling her toward the rim. Just as she tipped into the void the air crystallized. Time itself frosted around her in strange crystals. She dropped safely to stone the next instant.
"Thanks, Hit."
The assassin gave her a look that was barely a nod, then slipped away.
The others were not so lucky. With ki spent or footing lost, fighters pinwheeled out into the stands.
"Universe 10's Maji Kayo has fallen and is disqualified."
"Universe 10's Jium has fallen and is disqualified."
"Universe 9's Sorrel has fallen and is disqualified."
Three portraits grayed out on the Omni-Kings' tablets in a blink. The two little rulers clapped and tapped like they were playing a game.
When the last shards slid from her shoulders, Kale shoved free and began to prowl, massive frame casting a long shadow.
"Son Goku... unforgivable. Son Goku..."
She muttered his name and hunted for him, eyes scanning with frantic hunger.
Behind a shattered slab, a Pride Trooper from Universe 11 crouched and drew power into a bright-white chain of light.
You brute. I will strip your strength and throw you out.
He looked like a saurian from prehistory, but the chain in his hands was neat and clean and deadly.
Kale passed with her back to him. He sprang up and lashed the coil at her.
"You destroyer. I will judge you."
He yanked hard. Justice Whip was his specialty. Anything caught by it bled strength away.
The plan died in his hands. His face drained.
What he had hooked was not a body. It was a mountain.
Kale's arms flexed. The white chain snapped like dry twine. She turned and drove a fist at him.
He threw both forearms up. Her knuckles broke them clean, then launched him from the stage.
"Universe 11's Vuon has fallen and is disqualified."
"So this is the primal Saiyan," Beerus whispered, palms slick. Perhaps this was the god-level opponent he had wanted so badly.
Kale's head jerked. She had found Caulifla. The giant vanished, then reappeared in Caulifla's face, hand stretching to grab.
A familiar figure cut across the line.
"Vincent. That kid is insane. Is he trying to die," Beerus hissed, teeth grinding.
Vincent Fox was not walking to his death.
He blinked to Kale's flank. His right arm was already elemental. Fire gathered into a compact sphere against her ribs.
Boom.
The blast hurled Kale like a cannon shot. The backlash drove Vincent's feet deep into the tiles and left him braced in a ragged crouch.
No one cared how messy his landing looked. They could only stare at the berserker who had not been scratched by anyone else getting blown away by a single point-blank hit.
At center stage, Jiren opened his eyes and looked toward the sound.
"Universe 7... Very well. I will remember you. Do not disappoint me."
While the stands buzzed with questions about why Vincent did not chase to finish the job, a slim shape fell from high above.
Kale.
The rage had snapped like a wire. The giant was gone. She plummeted small and limp.
"Got you."
Caulifla flashed to Super Saiyan Two and streaked up, catching her in both arms.
"Kale, you okay."
"I am fine."
Kale shook her head and burrowed against her sister's chest.
Vincent followed at a steady pace.
"What do you want, Universe 7," Caulifla snapped as he came on.
Goku jogged up beside him, rubbing the back of his head. He took in Kale's normal form and gave a sheepish smile. "Man, you are really strong. I am not sure I could beat you."
Kale's shoulders eased at that. She drew breath to answer.
Her eyes went round. She froze and pointed past Goku and Vincent, terror stealing her voice.
