Chapter 98 - Letter

Soon, Salas mobilized a group of healers and sent them to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan to complete the task.

Yu Xiaogang saw this, and a stiff smile bloomed on his ugly face, satisfied at the thought of controlling powerful people.

Flender, who was beside him, looked at Yu Xiaogang strangely. In the past, when they first met, Yu Xiaogang cursed the Spirit Hall daily for being arrogant, selfish, overbearing, hypocritical, and many other things. Yet now, Yu Xiaogang was using Spirit Hall's power to help his clan.

Is Spirit Hall really that bad? Flender began to doubt Yu Xiaogang's words.

He sighed and followed Yu Xiaogang to his clan.

Soon, they arrived.

When the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon clan members saw the healers arriving, they became happy and eagerly invited them inside. But when they noticed Yu Xiaogang following behind, their expressions immediately darkened, and anger filled their faces. The injured people had already told them what happened, how Yu Xiaogang's disciple had thrown poison to harm them.

After the healers entered, the clan members blocked Yu Xiaogang and Flender.

"You traitor! Why did you come back?"

"Elders, my disciple is innocent! He was threatened by that vicious Dugu Bo to throw the poison!" Yu Xiaogang panicked and tried to explain, but....

"Stop talking nonsense and get out of the clan, you bastard!" They refused to hear Yu Xiaogang's explanation and forcefully pushed him out.

After throwing the "trash" out, they turned away and went to guide the healers to the poisoned victims.

Yu Xiaogang's clothes were covered in dirt from the ground, making him look like a beggar wandering the streets.

He didn't care about his appearance; he only glared at them, his face twisted with resentment.

A few passersby looked at him with disgust and quickly distanced themselves.

Meanwhile, in a huge palace in the capital...

Inside a reading room, a beautiful girl with blond hair was reading a letter, her expression turning strange.

"Who is this elder? Even I've never heard of him." Qian Renxue looked at She Long and Ci Xue, two Title Douluo responsible for protecting her during the mission.

"Young Master, we don't know," both replied after exchanging glances. They tried to recall all the elders in Spirit Hall but could not find anyone who will help Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon clan.

"Then go and investigate his identity and what he's purpose in the capital," she ordered, already considering his possible objectives.

"Yes, Young Master." She Long left, while Ci Xue stayed behind to protect her.

After putting away Salas's letter, Qian Renxue picked up another, this one from the directors of the Imperial Academy.

As she read it, surprise flashed across her face.

"Ye Lingling was kicked out of the academy by Xue Bing?" Her expression turned odd. She knew that Xue Bing liked to bully people, but Ye Lingling was the only powerful healer in the Imperial Academy team. Kicking her out would leave the team in a bad position.

"Has he gone mad, or is he playing some kind of trick?" she murmured, thinking for a moment before concluding that Xue Bing wasn't capable of such schemes.

As she continued reading, her suspicions were confirmed.

"The three directors are furious about this matter and caused a huge uproar, demanding that Xue Xing be removed from his position in the academy and that Xue Bing be punished."

Reading this, Qian Renxue's expression turned thoughtful as she began planning her next move.

Her greatest obstacle in the capital was Xue Xing, who consistently opposed her. She couldn't eliminate him outright, only suppress his influence.

"Now I have a chance. Maybe I can use this incident to put Xue Xing in his place and weaken his influence in the court," she muttered, her purple eyes gleaming as her mind spun through potential political strategies.

After thinking about various approaches to maximize her gains, her thoughts gradually drifted toward a certain handsome young man. A gentle smile appeared on her face, softening her usually calm expression.

She relaxed slightly, remembering the days when she could live freely, without deception or restraint, days when she could simply be herself.

"Wu Lan… what are you doing now?" she whispered.

---------

Far away from the capital, within Spirit Hall,

Inside the Supreme Pontiff Palace, a beautiful woman with a majestic aura sat on the highest seat, holding a scepter while gazing down at a guard who had just delivered a letter from the Heaven Dou Empire capital.

"You may leave," Bibi Dong said calmly, taking the letter and dismissing the guard.

Curiously, she opened it and began reading its contents.

When she saw that an "elder" had ordered the mobilization of healers to aid the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, she immediately recognized who it was, Yu Xiaogang.

As his name crossed her mind, her expression softened, and tears slipped down her beautiful face. The majestic ruler of Spirit Hall disappeared, replaced by a helpless woman filled with sorrow.

"Xiaogang…" she whispered.

After a moment, she composed herself and regained her majestic demeanor. She picked up her pen, wrote a letter, and called softly, "Gui Mei."

Soon, Gui Mei appeared in the palace and bowed respectfully.

"Your Majesty."

"Go to the Heaven Dou Empire capital and deliver this letter to Salas."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

After Gui Mei departed, Bibi Dong looked in the direction of the Heaven Dou Empire capital and murmured,

"Xiaogang… I can only help this much."

In the Heaven Dou Empire capital,

Wu Lan, Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing, Bi Ji, Ji Zi, and Ye Lingling were strolling through the bustling streets, enjoying their leisure time together.

While roaming the capital, they repeatedly heard people mention a rather amusing title: Donkey Rider.

Hearing this, Xiao Wu's curiosity was piqued. She asked several locals about it and received a surprising answer, that earlier that morning, a boy had ridden a donkey through the streets, enjoying himself without a care. Making everyone laugh.

When she asked about the boy's identity, no one knew for sure. They only said that his face was swollen like a pig's.

"Brother, who is this Donkey Rider?" Xiao Wu asked curiously, turning to Wu Lan with bright eyes, hoping he might know.

"They're referring to Tang San," Wu Lan replied playfully.

"What?!" Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing, and others were all stunned upon hearing this.
