Josie
I blinked, wondering if I'd heard her right. Surely, Iggy didn't just say that.
I cupped a hand to my ear dramatically, a humorless smile twisting my lips. "Sorry, I must've misheard. What exactly did you just say?"
Marcy's eyes widened. "Iggy, that was uncalled for! Josie is going to be our future Luna."
Iggy tilted her head, her lips curving into a slow, poisonous smile that made my stomach tighten. "Then maybe she should start acting like one and stop pretending to be some delicate flower who's been wronged by the world."
For a moment, I couldn't breathe. My body trembled—not out of fear, but from the sheer effort it took to keep myself from hitting her. My fists curled at my sides, nails biting into my palms.
"Marcy," I said tightly, without looking away from Iggy, "I think I should leave before I do something I'll regret."
