Tatsuki hurriedly asked, looking at both of them in horror, her voice shaking, and then observed the surroundings in a daze, seeing the scattered, soulless bodies.
"She withstood my Gongzai attack; is she the one we are looking for?" Yammy spoke and appeared in front of her, observing her thoughtfully, his massive shadow falling over her.
Ulquiorra shook his head and replied, "Her soul is almost on the verge of destruction because we are standing near her; she is just trash."
Yammy to express disappointment at Tatsuki having only survived Gonzui by luck and bidding her farewell as he moved to kick her.
Before the kick can make contact with Tatsuki, Sado intercepted it with the forearm of his Fullbring, Brazo Derecha de Gigante, the newly manifested power glowing a faint red, while Orihime shielded Tatsuki with a quickly erected Santen Kesshun shield.
While Orihime and Chad were dealing with Yammy, Ichigo was moving through the town at fast speed toward the park with an anxious expression on his face, the urgency of the spiritual battle pulling at his soul.
After a while,
Looking at Chad lying on the ground, his arm fractured, and Orihime being attacked by the Yammy, he instantly appeared in front of Orihime and stopped the Yammy's hand with his zanpakuto, the clash creating a shockwave.
Having just saved Orihime Inoue from Yammy Llargo, Ichigo Kurosaki apologized for being late, and when Orihime tearfully laments her weakness leading to Tatsuki Arisawa and Yasutora Sado being hurt, Ichigo assured her that it was not her fault and sternly promised to deal with Ulquiorra Cifer and Yammy before activating his Bankai, Tensa Zangetsu. The black reishi coalesced instantly, wrapping around him in a whirlwind of power.
Behind Ichigo, Orihime was awed by her first time seeing Tensa Zangetsu up close but noted that it felt different from when she felt it from afar on Sōkyoku Hill because its Reiatsu was violent, rough, and thick to the point that she could barely breathe, leaving her feeling like this was not actually Ichigo.
Suddenly, Ichigo instructed a startled Orihime to move back, which she complied with, and stared down Yammy, who mused on Ichigo's Bankai activation and asked Ulquiorra if this was their target.
Ulquiorra confirmed this and admitted his surprise at Yammy's tantrum having drawn Ichigo out so easily while pointing to Ichigo's orange hair and black Bankai as proof he was their target.
Though he considered having saved them the trouble of searching and threw a powerful punch at Ichigo, Yammy was shocked when Ichigo casually blocked his strike with the flat side of his sword, causing the ground beneath him to rupture, and inquired if Yammy was the one who mangled Sado's right arm.
When a smirking Yammy questioned what the significance was if he did, Ichigo swiftly leaped over him and landed on the other side prior to Yammy's right arm being severed at the bicep.
With Yammy screaming in pain and confusion at this, Ulquiorra mentally berated him for leaping into battle without properly gauging his opponent's strength with Pesquisa first and watched as Ichigo continued to battle Yammy while musing on the former having easily sliced through Yammy's Hierro with exceedingly strong Reiatsu despite having only recently acquired his Bankai, only to conclude that this power posed a threat to Sōsuke Aizen.
When a heavily panting Yammy cursed him, Ichigo commented on his ability to remain standing, indicating that he was as tough as he looked, and when Ulquiorra offered to take over for him, Yammy demanded that he shut up.
However, once Yammy reached for his Zanpakutō and reiterated his demand for Ulquiorra to shut up following the latter expressing disbelief that he needs it for such a foe,
Ichigo was shocked by Yammy's sword being a Zanpakutō and noticed his and Ulquiorra's broken Hollow masks, holes in their bodies, and strange Reiatsu, leading him to question if they were like Shinji Hirako and himself.
Suddenly, Hollow Ichigo told Ichigo to switch places, causing him to grip his face in exertion while Yammy paused in confusion and Orihime looked at him in alarm, and promised to take care of Yammy if Ichigo let him take over, only for Ichigo to counter that he should disappear.
Before Ichigo could tell Hollow Ichigo that he was not the latter's servant, a grinning Yammy kicked him squarely in the chest, causing Ichigo to vomit up a light-brown fluid.
Upon seeing this, Orihime rushed over to him in concern despite Ichigo urging her to run away prior to Yammy punching Ichigo into the ground with a blow to the back of the head and sending Orihime tumbling along the ground head first with a powerful backhand.
Frantically calling out to Orihime, Ichigo saw Yammy about to bring his fist down and attempted to attack the latter, but Yammy punched him before his slash could connect and proceeded to repeatedly punch Ichigo in the back and face.
Internally, Ichigo realized that he could not move his body anymore and realized that this was due to Hollow Ichigo interfering with him out of spite for not being allowed to take over his body.
With a nearly unconscious Ichigo falling over, Yammy grabbed him by the head and observed his strange lack of movement while Ulquiorra mentally mused on Ichigo's Reiatsu fluctuating so severely that its lowest point was trash and its highest point surpassed his own, which he could not understand the meaning of.
After throwing Ichigo to the ground, Yammy declared that it was over and ordered Ichigo to disappear in pieces as he threw a punch that obscured the surrounding area in dust.
