As some of you are aware, I have made some mistakes in either not including information that I meant to, or going back and changing some story points, as I felt I made the wrong choice, either by second guessing myself and then regretting it, or because I felt it didn't fit, and it bothered me for various reasons. Sometimes I also just forget to add information or bits that I meant to, and realize it much later on.
It might be a big deal to some, or it might not matter at all, but for those of you who read my story and do like it, I try to be transparent and keep you updated. I've made some minor changes mainly, and I don't think I've made any major ones that would confuse people too much. Mainly some added dialog, some world building information, and so on. I'll try to detail some things I've changed that might confuse anyone who is caught up on the story.
In Chapter 32, I originally had forgotten to have Cici explain how birth works, and just realized it very recently. You can read it again if you want, but the short of it is, beastkins have sex, beastkins have kids. The same kinds of beastkin produce the same kind of child. If two different beastkins have a child, the child will be the same kind as the mother. Mixed race breeding is rare, and often births half breeds when it does happen, as shown more recently with Valerie. Obviously, with Eli, no one has a fuckin' clue. This was a detail I had planned in my head at the time, and somehow in my infinite wisdom, forgot completely.
In Chapters 90 and 91, I removed a detail about Delvin, and that was one I had second guessed myself on, and as I worked though it in my head, I realized that the original path was the correct one that I had for him. So for now, they do not know what or who his connections are, and once Eli eventually stops procrastinating, he will find out the truth.
In chapters 93, 94, and 95, again, it was a branching path that I second guessed myself on, and even a slight change like that effected where I wanted the story to go after this, so it was changed to what I originally had in mind, which was Clarissa and Eli being able to become more intimate much sooner if they wished to. I also felt that I made things more complicated and stupid than it needed to be, so it was altered. Hopefully their night can end with a bang.
I am currently working on the next chapter, and you may have noticed it is taking a bit longer the past week or two, because I'm doing more thinking, more editing, and more revisions before I release my chapters, rather than just pressing the publish button immediately. I feel a lot more confident in my writing now because of that.
At the end of the day though, this is my true first attempt at a long running story, so it's a work in progess. I have another one, but I kinda started it without much thought, so I put it on hold while I work through this story. I want to be better at writing before I go back to it. My story is also free to read, as I am just happy to have people read it. I do it because I enjoy it, and not because I want something out of it, like money. Whether you like it or dislike it, that's fine. Giving it a shot is enough for me, and for those of you that come back and keep reading, I thank you, and I hope you aren't too irritated with me for some of these changes, if you decide to stick around.
