Chapter 190 - Chapter 190: Escaping The Family

Yang Ming's POV:

"Remember to keep it a secret from Xing! I don't think I need to tell you why!" I said to the two walking behind me.

"Hmph! Father, I still don't see why you brought that wench's child to our home!"

"Ha! Maybe dad's worried your balls aren't working anymore! How old is Feng again?"

"You have no right to talk about making descendants! You scare all the suiters I brought you away with your brutish behavior!"

"I want a real man with some actual balls! Not those wimps who'll snap like a twig after one punch!"

*sigh*

The two bickering adults behind me are my oldest son Yang Ping and my only daughter Yang Ning. I was currently leading them to meet with their niece that I had placed in the building next to the main house. She was getting a bit difficult on the way over, so I had some guards stationed nearby to keep her from going anywhere after I confiscated her spatial ring.

"Quit rubbing my head you barbarian!" Ping yelled while trying to get out of the headlock Ning had put him in.

"So, dad! How's little Nox at fightin?" Ning asked while giving her older brother a noogie.

"Hehe! That little lass is a bit of a trickster!"

She might appear strong given how she has defeated groups of nascent souls in the past, but she seems to heavily rely on tools and sneak attacks rather than power. The pursuers she defeated when we first met were taken down with poison and the mercenaries fell to her tamed beast and the explosive she had made from a cultivator's body. It is why I only left a couple high ranking cultivators to guard her. With her tamed beast dead, and her belongings confiscated, it would be an impressive feat to handle two green stage nascent souls with her hands and feet bound, by the time I returned.

"She is a weak mage like her whore mother! What did you expect!"

"Really? I was hoping she was more like Xing! Before, well … you know!"

"Being a mage doesn't mean she is weak! You both should know that! And I wouldn't call her weak! She just seems to rely more on her equipment and strategy than raw power! Also, I'm warning you now! Don't mention her mother! It seems to be a touchy subject to her as well!"

"Tsk!"

I still remember the look she gave me back then. It was similar to when my father got angry. There was no bloodlust, no qi pressure, just the overwhelming sense that he could snuff your life out in an instant. It is a rather unpleasant experience that some might be better off not knowing.

"Hm?"

"So, where's my niece at? All I see is two knocked out dudes and an open window!"

It seems I underestimated that little lass a bit. As she seemed to have achieved a rather impressive feat indeed.

"LORD MING! AN INTRUDER HAS BEEN SPOTTED IN THE FORBIDDEN MOUNTAINS!" A guard shouted.

*Sigh*
