The Golden Dragon Spear hovered beside him, lightly vibrating with a soft hum. Gu You felt as though his body would break its restraints at any moment.
Then—his awareness transformed.
In his mind, countless colossal beasts stretched from heaven to earth, soaring through the skies, charging toward a massive, unfathomable palace that filled the entire horizon.
Roars of dragons echoed across the heavens. The beasts hurled themselves toward the palace with relentless fury, only to fall in waves as corpses from the sky.
A deep sense of sorrow and unwillingness welled up within Gu You's heart.
He opened his mouth in this dreamscape, letting out a deafening dragon's roar. The roar empowered the beasts with radiant seven-colored light as they charged more fiercely than ever.
But at that moment, a beam of blood-red light surged from the palace, slicing through the sky. It split the horde in two. Countless creatures were disintegrated on the spot.
As the blood light flashed, his consciousness went black again.
Then came a crackling sound—as though beans were popping—echoing from every bone in his body.
The dragon core had transformed completely. What had once been a crystalline form now turned into a pulsating sphere, contracting and expanding continuously.
With each contraction and expansion, it devoured and expelled tremendous bloodline power. The golden-red light from eight broken seals was drawn in, condensed, and re-released into his limbs and meridians.
It was so intense it even overpowered the previously dominant nine-colored radiance in his body.
The two cores still resonated with each other, but now a bridge of energy had formed between them, establishing a steady flow.
Every bone in Gu You's body, from marrow to surface, began to change. Subtle patterns appeared on them—tiny dragons coiled along his skeleton. The dragon marks shimmered faintly, almost imperceptibly.
What made this absorption different was that instead of converting the eight broken seals into soul rings or abilities, he transformed all the energy directly into blood essence to nourish his entire being.
It was a bold move—and incredibly dangerous—but if successful, his body would surpass the limit of ordinary divine officers and ascend to the level of a true god.

His bloodline seemed to find a natural outlet, surging into the freshly-formed wings. Dragon scales began to grow across their surface, making them dense and solid.
The room—once saturated with overwhelming bloodline aura—suddenly cleared.
All the blood essence converged instantly toward the newly-formed wings...
