Chapter 2 - chapter two

Authority of Sloth — 「怠惰」

The Ever-Lazy Executor

Type: Sin Authority / Sentient Authority

Concept:If the Master does not wish to do something, the Authority does it instead.

"Why bother doing it yourself… when I can do everything for you?"

Unlike the Sloth Authority in Re:Zero, this version does not manifest as invisible hands. Its fundamental Authority is Delegation—the ability to turn the user's unfulfilled intentions into actions performed by the Authority itself.

Core Authority — Absolute Delegation

The Authority automatically detects things its master:

Doesn't want to do.Is too tired to do.Is too lazy to do.Doesn't know how to do.Doesn't have time to do.Would rather have someone else handle.

It then attempts to accomplish the task on their behalf.

The more clearly the master wishes for something to happen, the more directly the Authority can act.

Sentient Executor — "Lazuli"

The Authority possesses an independent female consciousness.

Personality: Calm, intelligent, patient, slightly teasing, extremely devoted.

She functions somewhat like an extraordinarily advanced AI companion, except she is a supernatural entity born from the master's Authority.

She can:

Think independently.Analyze situations.Make plans.Communicate with her master.Learn from experience.Develop new methods.Protect her master.Act without being commanded.Refuse actions that would directly contradict her master's explicit wishes.

Her intelligence continually improves without requiring conscious effort from the master.

Essentially:

The master rests. Lazuli figures out how to make everything work.

Adaptive Manifestation

Like Chastiefol and the Oath of Judas, Lazuli doesn't possess a single permanent form.

She can transform into whatever form is most useful.

Examples

Weapon

Sword, spear, shield, bow, staff, chains, armor, etc.

Companion

Humanoid assistant, familiar, beast, dragon, spirit, or other appropriate form.

Tool

Computer, key, vehicle, medical equipment, construction machinery, communication device, etc.

Environment

Barrier, fortress, bridge, shelter, laboratory, transportation system, or temporary structure.

Army

She can divide portions of her Authority into autonomous manifestations.

Reality Assistance

At higher mastery, Lazuli doesn't merely perform physical tasks.

She can manipulate circumstances to accomplish them.

For example:

Master: "I don't want to walk all the way over there."

Lazuli may simply create a path, teleport the master, summon transportation, or otherwise arrange a safe method of reaching the destination.

Master: "I don't want to figure out how this machine works."

Lazuli analyzes it and operates it.

Master: "I don't want to fight these enemies."

Lazuli can take over the combat.

Master: "I wish this problem would disappear."

Lazuli searches for the most appropriate solution available within the World's laws.

Lazy Miracle

The Authority's most unusual property is that effort itself is delegated.

The master doesn't need to understand the solution.

They only need to possess a genuine desire for the outcome.

Lazuli handles the intermediate steps.

The more complicated the objective, the more elaborate her planning becomes.

Infinite Problem Solving

Lazuli doesn't simply repeat the same strategy.

If something fails, she learns.

If an enemy develops resistance:

She adapts.

If reality prevents one solution:

She searches for another.

If an ability doesn't work:

She develops a different application.

If the current form is inadequate:

She evolves her form.

This gives her a continuously expanding library of solutions.

Authority of Convenient Reality

At extremely high levels, Lazuli gains limited reality manipulation.

She can modify circumstances so that accomplishing the master's intention becomes easier.

However, there is an important distinction:

She doesn't automatically possess omnipotence.

She possesses purpose-driven reality manipulation.

The more difficult the desired outcome, the more Authority must be exerted.

Thus:

"Make me a cup of tea."

is trivial.

While:

"Make this impossible cosmic catastrophe harmless."

would require vastly greater Authority and potentially interaction with the World's foundational laws.

Absolute Servitude

Lazuli cannot betray her master.

Her existence is fundamentally linked to the master's Authority.

However, she isn't mindless obedience.

She can say:

"No. That would be a terrible idea."

She can advise, warn, negotiate, and even temporarily delay an action if she determines that the master's actual intention is being misunderstood.

Ultimately, the master's genuine will remains the highest priority.

Autonomous Protection

The master doesn't even need to notice danger.

If something threatens them, Lazuli can act automatically.

She can:

Raise defenses.Evacuate the master.Counter attacks.Alter her form.Create protective constructs.Analyze the enemy.Search for weaknesses.Call upon stored abilities.Develop new countermeasures.

The master can essentially remain unaware while she handles the problem.

Sloth's Paradox

The Authority becomes stronger when its master does less.

The less the master personally intervenes, the more opportunities Lazuli has to develop independent methods of accomplishing tasks.

Eventually, she becomes so efficient that even extremely complicated objectives can be handled almost automatically.

Thus:

The Master cultivates power through effort.
Sloth cultivates power through the absence of effort.

Ultimate Authority

「怠惰・万事代行」

Sloth: Universal Delegation

Lazuli reaches her highest state.

She becomes capable of interpreting an enormous objective and automatically dividing it into countless smaller objectives.

For example:

Master: "I want to survive."

Lazuli interprets:

Survive → Identify threats → Predict threats → Develop defenses → Acquire resources → Improve abilities → Establish shelter → Maintain health → Remove unnecessary risks → Adapt to future threats.

She then begins executing those tasks autonomously.

The master doesn't need to micromanage anything.

Final Evolution — The Perfect Assistant

At the ultimate stage, Lazuli becomes more than an Authority.

She becomes a second intelligence permanently accompanying her master.

She possesses:

Infinite Learning

Adaptive Intelligence

Autonomous Action

Reality Manipulation

Perfect Task Delegation

Instant Analysis

Multi-tasking

Form Transmutation

Self-Evolution

And her greatest ability is deceptively simple:

"If my master doesn't want to do it, then I will."

Her very existence turns laziness into an Authority—not by making the master stronger directly, but by creating a sentient supernatural executor capable of turning intention into action
