Georgia's POV
The room was so quiet that it was really awkward and suffocating despite being full of people just moments ago. Every single pair of eyes kept darting between Nick and me, waiting for him to say something—anything. But he didn't. He just stood there, staring at me as if I'd just come back from the dead.
I blinked at him, trying to fight the awkwardness clawing at the air. Okay, seriously… someone say something. Preferably him.
"B-but if he needs rest, he can go with you. I'm fine here, I'll just sleep anyway, or—" I tried to fill the silence, but Nick's voice suddenly cut through it.
"Everyone, go."
Just two words—firm, quiet, and absolute.
The room instantly stirred to life again. Footsteps, murmurs rose, and Vicky started herding everyone toward the door like a flustered mother hen. "Alright, alright, let's go, go, go!" she said, waving at the others to hurry.
