Georgia's POV
I nodded right away. "Of course. I'd actually like that. I want to get to know her again." I smiled, then shrugged a little. "And don't worry about me, I'll probably just sleep here while you're gone. Do what you need to do."
I poked at the cheesecake on my plate, my tone softening. "Actually… I want to get to know everyone I've forgotten. I looked through the photos and videos on my phone—and on social media too," I admitted, glancing at him. "I looked so happy in all of them. Seeing everyone earlier, even if I couldn't remember the details… it felt warm. Like my mind forgot, but my heart didn't."
Nick went quiet for a moment, then asked in that deep, teasing tone that made me nervous for no reason, "Does that include me?"
My fork froze halfway to my mouth. I looked up—and there it was. That gaze. Steady. Intense. Like he was seeing straight through me.
