"Ahem, can't believe we're doing this," Riven said, looking toward the camera with a sigh.
"It can't be helped, things are a bit hectic right now for Him," Sera said with a knowing smile as she took a seat next to him.
"Still, he could've finished chapter thirty before running off to work on–"
"AH." Sera jumped up, covering his mouth before he could say anything more. "We shouldn't be sharing that with the readers, not yet. Maybe around chapter 100."
"If it ever arrives, with how long it takes him to finish a few chapters," Riven grumbled as he sank into his seat. Sera smiled wryly, scratching the side of her face as she turned back to the camera.
Clearing her throat, she began. "Hello readers, I'm Seraphina." She paused the sound of her last name on the cusp of her tongue.
Tilting her head, she spoke aloud. "Chapter thirty, huh? I guess a lot of things are still secrets, so Seraphina or Sera is fine, we can just forget the Halvenne part for now."
"With the lack of chapters, you probably assumed the story has been abandoned, or the author just doesn't write it anymore. Fortunately, neither of these is true. Much like for many others, the holidays are a busy time, and the author got swept up in this."
Sitting up in his chair, Riven interjected, "He'll be back, of course. With a few finished projects, maybe an actual large number of chapters this time, and possibly an exciting announcement."
"Though I doubt it." He added in a quieter voice, turning away from the camera.
"When does Hiatus end?" They both said at the same time, turning to face each other before shrugging.
"We don't know." Riven finally said.
"Though that might be the case, you might see him around the platform supporting other authors in the early stages of their novels, by thanking them for their chapters written and released," Sera said as she put her phone to the camera showing the comment Truevoid45 left on another novel.
"Which he should probably be doing himself," Riven added.
"Either way." Sera stood from her chair but paused when she realized only she stood up. Turning around, she glared at Riven.
Looking at her with a completely innocent expression. "What did you expect a Paragon to bow?"
"Tch, would you get up, if not having to act like myself from chapter thirty, do you think I would bow? And since I have to bow, so do you." She walked over to him, wrenched him up.
"Now on the count of three." She said as she made sure they were properly positioned.
"One, two, three!"
Both their heads shot down as they bowed toward the camera. "We apologize for the hiatus, and thank you for your continued support."
Lifting their heads back up. Sera glared at Riven once more. "See, now that wasn't too hard. Was it?"
Riven raised his hands in mock surrender as he backed away from Sera and towards the exit of this recording room that lay between worlds. "Yeah, easy for since."
His voice cut out as he mouthed the rest of the words to her before bolting out the door. Sera's face flushed red as she yelled out, "Riven!!" before chasing after him, leaving the room completely empty as the camera continued to record.
Just then, a head appeared on screen, his mouth moving along with the narration.
"Ahem, I mean hello," I say quickly before turning the camera off.
