Chapter 122 - Chapter 122: Soft Rice and Breakthroughs

"Who are you?"

The young man pointed his gun at Victor with a stern expression.

However, Victor completely ignored the black muzzle aimed at him, calmly pulling out a chair and sitting before the Great Elder.

"Don't be nervous. I'm not your enemy."

"Xiao Zhou, lower your weapon. This friend truly has no hostile intent. If he wanted to harm us, we wouldn't have had a chance to react."

The Great Elder's words carried weight and wisdom. Even when Victor had appeared without warning, he'd shown only brief surprise before regaining his composure.

"Yes, Great Elder."

Xiao Zhou holstered his gun and retreated behind the Great Elder. Though the hostility faded from his face, vigilance remained in his eyes.

"My friend, what brings you here?"

The Great Elder took the initiative, his voice gentle and his expression kind, naturally putting others at ease.

Victor didn't answer directly. "Do you want powerful strength?"

A gleam flashed through the Great Elder's eyes before quickly disappearing. His expression remained neutral as he pretended to consider the question. "What kind of powerful strength are you referring to?"

"You already guessed, didn't you?" Victor smiled.

The subtle change in the Great Elder's expression hadn't escaped his observation.

Seeing he'd been exposed, the elder stopped being indirect. "Then what price must we pay to gain this powerful strength?"

"Nothing. I'll give it to you for free." Victor raised his hand and snapped his fingers.

A small tear appeared in the space above the desk, and a tablet computer fell through the opening.

"This tablet contains methods for cultivating magic and holy energy. As for what those are, you'll need to study it carefully."

The cultivation methods recorded were ones Victor had streamlined and optimized based on his own experience. He believed that with proper study, even an elementary school student could learn to practice magic.

As for holy energy, being more advanced than magic, it required stricter conditions. Whether someone could cultivate it depended on their talent.

"Hurry and become stronger. Technological strength alone cannot resist future enemy invasions."

After speaking, Victor stood to leave.

Seeing this, the Great Elder quickly asked, "Why are you helping us? You should be from the other side, shouldn't you? Logically speaking, we should be enemies."

Obviously, the Great Elder mistook the invaders Victor mentioned for the alien creatures from Ente Isla in the Holy Cross Continent. He even assumed Victor was from that world.

It was understandable, after all, every alien creature discovered so far had been a monster from Ente Isla.

Victor was too lazy to correct the misunderstanding. His only goal was to help Earth's humans grow stronger as quickly as possible.

"Just assume I've grown bored with the other side."

With that, Victor vanished instantly.

The Great Elder stared at where Victor had disappeared but didn't immediately pick up the tablet. Instead, he pondered Victor's words.

Future invading enemies?

Could it be that the otherworldly monsters invading now weren't considered true enemies? Then what were the real enemies? And what about strength?

"Great Elder, should we have professionals examine the information on the tablet?"

Xiao Zhou, his secretary and guard, spoke up, interrupting the Great Elder's thoughts.

"First, notify the other elders and convene an emergency meeting."

"Yes, sir!"

On the other side, Victor hadn't gone far after disappearing. Instead, he'd concealed his presence and stood a thousand meters above the official residence, looking down quietly.

Beside him was his guard, Emi, who had also disappeared.

"I don't understand why you gave these cultivation methods to this country's leadership instead of making them public directly. Wouldn't that be simpler and faster?" Emi asked.

"The population base of this world is seven billion. Even if only one in ten thousand people learned and mastered magic and holy energy, there would be at least seven hundred thousand extraordinary individuals, many times more than Ente Isla."

Though Ente Isla was larger than Earth, its population base was far smaller.

Victor shook his head. "It's precisely because of that massive population that the cultivation method can't be directly announced."

"Among seven billion people, there are both good and bad. Once bad people gain supernatural powers, it will cause social chaos."

"By giving the cultivation method to the country's leadership, they'll naturally select the right people to practice it."

"I see." Emi finally understood. Though she was a Hero, she was still just a seventeen-year-old girl. She'd been receiving training at the Vatican since she was twelve and didn't fully understand the evil in people's hearts, so naturally she wouldn't have considered such things.

"Alright, let's go back."

Victor withdrew his gaze, tore through the space before him, and stepped through.

Emi followed closely behind.

After returning to their residence in Japan, Emi said goodbye and left. After taking so many days off, it was time for her to return to work.

That's right, as a Hero, she actually had to work like a pack animal to support herself.

Victor thought she was quite pitiful. Unlike himself, he was being supported by others.

Ah, soft rice was so delicious!

"Kanae, Kanao, and Ellie, you should also focus on your cultivation. You don't need to do anything else these days. Just concentrate on practicing and improve your strength as quickly as possible."

He looked at the three girls who were doing housework and homework.

In the entire manor, only the three of them hadn't established their foundations yet. This strength had been acceptable before, but now it was somewhat insufficient.

The three girls nodded, set aside what they were doing, and returned to their rooms to begin cultivation.

Time passed day by day.

In the blink of an eye, another two weeks went by.

With the help of Victor's pills, the strength of the three girls in the household had greatly improved, and they weren't far from establishing their foundations.

Even Shinobu and Krul's strength had advanced.

Of course, Victor himself hadn't fallen behind during these two weeks. In addition to refining pills for the women, he'd also taken time to cultivate himself.

His strength had now reached the middle stage of Nascent Soul.
