Just as Victor was about to lead Gu Yuena toward the hotel, the owner of a nearby food stall spoke up cautiously.
From the clothes these two wore, it wasn't difficult to tell they weren't ordinary people. They were most likely soul masters.
The boss was just an ordinary merchant and didn't dare offend soul masters. But running a small business meant he couldn't afford to let people take advantage of him either, even if they were powerful cultivators.

A slightly cool evening breeze drifted in through the half-open screen window, carrying with it the faint fragrance of locust blossoms from the windowsill. The gentle air caressed their faces.
Gu Yuena raised her delicate white hand and gracefully tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear. Every movement revealed her elegant temperament, utterly captivating to behold.
Many men cast obsessed glances in her direction, though no one dared to actually approach.
Most of the people dining here were soul masters. But nobody was foolish enough to cause trouble in this establishment. What if they picked the wrong target and ended up in over their heads?
Besides, anyone could tell at a glance that these two possessed extraordinary backgrounds. It simply wasn't worth risking one's life over lust for beauty.
While the two waited for their meal, eight more guests entered the hotel.
The group included both men and women, and except for the middle-aged man leading them, all the younger members were remarkably attractive. Though their looks couldn't compare to Victor and Gu Yuena, they were still outstanding by worldly standards.
Even Victor couldn't help but take a few extra glances at them.
'With appearances like these, they're unlikely to be ordinary characters,' Victor thought to himself.
Based on his many years of experience watching anime, people who looked like this were either protagonists or important supporting characters!
Unfortunately, he'd only read comics and novels. Even if these were significant characters, he probably wouldn't be able to recognize them unless their names were mentioned.
Under everyone's watchful gaze, the middle-aged man leading the group said a few words to the young people behind him before heading to the third floor alone.
After ordering their food, the group of young men and women walked toward where Victor and Gu Yuena were seated. More precisely, their target was the empty seats adjacent to Victor and Gu Yuena's table.
"Holy shit! Boss Dai, look at that woman, she's absolutely stunning!"
After drawing closer, several members of the group noticed Victor and Gu Yuena sitting by the window. They were immediately captivated by the pair's remarkable appearance.
One particularly rotund young man didn't even try to hide the lustful gleam in his eyes.
"She really is stunning."
The blond man addressed as Boss Dai nodded in agreement, clearly equally impressed. This woman was without doubt the most beautiful he'd ever seen!
The black-haired woman in a leather jacket standing nearby snorted coldly and shot the blond man a look of pure disgust. The other two young women behind her wore similarly disapproving expressions.
"Fatty, wipe that disgusting look off your face, or I don't mind digging your eyes out myself," Victor said coldly.
The expression in the fat man's eyes genuinely disgusted him.
"What did you just say?" The fat man turned to glare at Victor. "You think you're hot shit just because you've got a pretty face, punk? Come and fight me, your uncle Ma, if you've got the balls!"
The blond man standing beside the group crossed his arms and watched the scene unfold with interest, making no move to intervene.
"Ignorant fool..."
Victor sneered and slowly raised his hand. "One-on-one? You're not worthy."
As those words left his mouth, a razor-sharp sword energy shot from Victor's fingertip, piercing through the fat man's dantian in an instant with lightning speed.
"Pffft!"
The fat man coughed up blood, his face turning deathly pale.
"My soul power... no!"
The expressions of everyone around the fat man changed dramatically.
One young man with short blue hair immediately stepped forward, positioning himself protectively in front of the group. His voice was stern as he spoke. "Sir, don't you think you've gone too far? Ma Hongjun only said a few rude words, and you directly crippled him!"

Victor paused, his eyes narrowing slightly.
This fat bastard was actually the Phoenix of Evil Fire, Ma Hongjun, from the protagonist's group?
So the others must also be members of the Shrek Seven Devils?
