Zayne appeared within a dimly lit warehouse, the faint sound of humming machinery echoing through the cold air. The metallic scent of chemicals and the distant clank of mechanical claws filled the silence. His eyes scanned the massive, darkened space as he muttered to himself, voice calm but edged with mild annoyance.
"So this is where the mutagen signature is? Quite cliché for a villain."
He stepped forward slowly, the floor creaking beneath his boots. To anyone else, this place would look abandoned — but Zayne's visor revealed hidden energy currents, cloaking fields, and pulsating veins of toxic green light running through the floor.
A soft flashback shimmered in his mind, replaying the moment he realized what was going on.
--- ✦ ---
(Base holographic projection, fifteen minutes ago.)
Zayne had been studying the feed from the city fight when his sharp gaze noticed strange fluctuations in the background readings — faint but rhythmic, scattered across five distinct areas of the city.
"Wait a second…" he had murmured, adjusting the interface. The energy readings didn't match Goblin's biology at all. They were something else — artificial, structured, and synchronized.
"Mesogog, you sly bastard."
Data flowed across his screen, revealing five mutagen rays hidden under cloaking technology. The layout was almost perfect — one at each corner of the city and the fifth right at its center.
"He plans to mutate the entire city," Zayne said aloud, his tone darkening. "Turning millions into his prehistoric freaks."
Even then, a quiet anger had begun to boil beneath his calm demeanor.
--- ✦ ---
(Present.)
Zayne clenched his fists, cracking his knuckles lightly, his voice low. "Hundreds of thousands of lives… You really don't care who you ruin, do you?"
A deep red light flashed across his armor as his Omni-suit activated fully. His eyes glowed faintly with silver light as he moved deeper into the warehouse.
He didn't bother to hide his presence.
The first tyrannodrone — a hulking, scaly humanoid machine with mechanical claws — lunged from the shadows. Its claws scraped the air with a hiss.
SHRIIIK!
Before it could even land, Zayne moved — a blur of motion faster than sight.
SWISH!
Its head and right arm were separated in one clean motion. The body collapsed with a dull metallic thud before the creature even realized it was dead.
Another jumped down from the rafters with a plasma spear.
BZZZT!!
Zayne sidestepped, caught the weapon mid-thrust, and shattered it in his grip. His palm glowed faintly before he thrust forward.
BOOM!
A blast of compressed light energy tore through its chest, vaporizing it instantly.
Within seconds, the entire warehouse was chaos — tyrannodrones swarming in from every side, their red eyes glowing, their weapons humming.
Zayne's movements became a streak of lightning. Every strike was efficient — clean, sharp, and final.
One drone swung from behind; Zayne pivoted, grabbed its arm, twisted, and ripped it apart with raw force.
CRACK!SHING!BOOM!
The sounds of metal tearing and bodies collapsing echoed for miles.
He stood calmly amidst the destruction, dust and sparks swirling around him.
His gaze shifted toward the large machine at the end of the hall — a tall, cylindrical cannon glowing with an eerie green hue. Mutagenic energy pulsed through its core, the beam humming ominously.
"Mesogog is quite smart," Zayne muttered as he approached. "He placed the rays far apart, to prevent the Rangers from destroying them even if they found out where they were."
He placed a hand on the mutagen cannon, scanning it. "But that's not a problem for me."
KZZZZT!!
His armor glowed bright red. In less than a heartbeat, the entire structure was disassembled, its components rendered into harmless dust.
He exhaled, calm once again. "Four more to go."
With that, he vanished in a flash of light — teleporting to the next site.

(Battlefield POV)
Meanwhile, the battle between the Dino Rangers and the Green Goblins raged on like a storm of chaos and destruction.
The Rangers were no longer in their base suits. Their armors had shifted — glowing brighter, Jagged in spikes and pulsing with energy.
Super Dino Mode — Activated.
Connor's armor blazed red with streaks of molten silver, his spiked claws extending from his gauntlets like glowing blades.
Kira's wings now shimmered with a golden energy, each feather vibrating like the edge of a blade.
Ethan's shield was reinforced, a crystalline blue core shining at its center, his armor layered with metallic plates that radiated raw power.
They were no longer holding back.
Connor roared as he lunged forward."Let's finish this freak!"
BOOOOOM!!!
His Tyranno Staff swung in a flaming arc, colliding with one of the Goblin clones and sending it crashing through two buildings.
Ethan followed, charging up energy through his shield."Tricera Pulse!"
A wave of blue energy rippled from his shield, cutting through the air and slamming into another Goblin clone, disintegrating it into ash.
Kira spun midair, gathering energy into her Ptera Grips."Let's clip your wings, creep!"
She unleashed twin arcs of golden sonic blades that sliced the last clone in half.
KSSHHHHH!!!
The explosion shook the entire street.
Dust and smoke billowed around them, the Rangers landing side by side. Their breathing was heavy but steady. They had taken control.
Peter and Gwen, now some distance away, were helping civilians to safety — pulling people from destroyed cars, webbing collapsing walls, guiding terrified crowds.
Peter looked back once, eyes widening at the sight of the Rangers fighting. "They're winning," he said, both surprised and amazed.
Gwen smiled faintly behind her mask. "Good. Now let's make sure there's a city left to save."
Back on the battlefield, the Rangers pushed on.
Green Goblin's armor was torn to shreds, his skin oozing thick green blood. His laughter, once manic, now sounded distorted and pained.
Connor struck again, slamming his staff into the ground, sending shockwaves tearing through the street. "Stay down, Goblin!"
CRACK!!!
The shockwave flung him backward into a pile of rubble.
For a moment, it seemed over.
But then —
Hahahahahahaha!!!
The laughter echoed through the shattered street, eerie and mad.
"Hahahaha… do you think you have won?" Green Goblin's voice rasped, broken yet filled with twisted glee. His head tilted unnaturally as he grinned wide, eyes glowing red. "No, no, no. This is just the beginning… of the end of this city."
He struggled to his feet, trembling, but his voice grew darker, colder."And then… the world."
The Rangers froze.
Connor clenched his fists. "What the hell do you mean?"
Goblin didn't answer. He only laughed again, his voice fading into madness.
"Contact Dr. O, now!" Kira shouted, turning to Ethan.
Ethan tapped his communicator immediately. "Dr. O, something's wrong with Goblin. He said something about the city—"
Tommy's voice came through the comms, calm but tense. "I'm detecting something… give me a second."
In the Dino Lab, Tommy's fingers flew across the holographic controls of the satellite interface. A high-pitched hum filled the air as energy readings appeared across the city map.
Then — five massive green spikes appeared on-screen.
"Oh no…" Tommy whispered. His eyes widened. "Guys, there are five massive mutagen energy signatures scattered across the city. I'm seeing huge bio-energy machines attached to each one."
The Rangers froze.
"What!?" Kira gasped.
Connor's heart dropped. "You mean—?"
Tommy's voice grew grim. "If those things go off… they'll mutate every living being within the city's range. Everyone."
Ethan's voice cracked with horror. "They're planning to make the entire city monsters!"
The words sent a chill through everyone's hearts.
Far in the distance, Peter and Gwen stopped swinging, both of them landing on a rooftop. Their spider-senses flared violently — buzzing like alarms.
"Something big is happening," Peter muttered.
Gwen looked toward the horizon, where faint green lights began flickering in the sky."Oh no… what did we miss?"
They swung back instantly toward the Rangers' position.
Back on the ground, Connor stepped closer to Green Goblin, his staff still burning with energy. "Tell us what Mesogog's planning! Where are the machines?"
Goblin just smiled, his face half-burnt, his voice eerie and cold. "You'll find out… when it's too late."
Connor's patience snapped. "Enough of this psycho."
He raised his staff high. "Dino Rangers! Final Strike!"
All three stood side by side, their weapons glowing fiercely — red, blue, and yellow energies converging into one massive surge.
TRI-EXCEED STRIKE!!
BOOOOOOMMMM!!!
The combined beam slammed into Green Goblin with overwhelming force. The explosion tore through the air like thunder, vaporizing everything within the blast radius.
Silence followed. The street was cracked and burning. The sky dimmed slightly from the energy release.
The Rangers stood in the aftermath, their breathing heavy, their armor slightly scorched.
Connor's voice was low. "He's gone."
Kira frowned, looking around. "We don't have time to rest. We need to find those machines—now!"
Ethan nodded. "Four ends of the city and the center. We split up."
They turned their communicators on again. "Dr. O, send the coordinates. We're moving out!"
Tommy's voice came back firm. "Already done. Go. Every second counts."
The Rangers nodded, each one teleporting away in bursts of colored light.
Far away, at another corner of the city, Zayne was already destroying the fourth mutagen ray, his eyes narrowing slightly as he felt the immense surge of energy miles away from him.
He sighed, voice low. "Good. They figured it out, but still, I already destroyed it."
He turned toward the final location — the center of the city — as the last mutagen beam began to hum dangerously.
"Now then," he murmured. "Time to end this little game."
To be continued…

Updates might be slower these days, guys. It's college application season, so I have a lot on my schedule. But I'll try my best to keep up with the chapters.
