Chapter 84 - Item Descriptions

As Zayne clicked on it, the panel shimmered with a radiant golden glow as the descriptions unfolded line by line, each word carrying a weight that made his breathing unconsciously slow.

[Revival Altar (S-tier, Upgradeable)]

Description: A supreme-class treasure capable of reviving specified individuals after death with no limits to time. The altar is currently soul-bound to the master, designating him as its sole owner.

– Subordinates designated by the master may be revived upon death.

– Revival restores the target to their exact state before death, including physical condition, memories, and soul integrity.

– No backlash, corruption, or side effects are incurred upon revival.

– Applicable death types include physical death, sickness-induced death, soul death, and spirit annihilation.

– Limitation: Death caused by absolute reality-altering effects cannot be revived at the current tier.

Zayne stared at the panel.

Then stared some more.

"…Yooo," he muttered, his voice low but trembling slightly. "Isn't this just an infinite spawn point from games?"

He couldn't maintain his composure anymore.

His breath grew heavy as he reread the description, eyes scanning every line again and again as if afraid the words would disappear if he blinked. His heart pounded loudly in his ears.

This wasn't just powerful.

This was broken.

He had expected rewards. Maybe strong gear. Maybe rare equipment.

But this?

This was something that could outright flip the balance of life and death itself.

Upgradeable.

Soul-bound.

No consequences.

Zayne leaned back against the couch, running a hand through his hair as he let out a slow, controlled breath. "This is… an extremely powerful treasure," he muttered in a low tone, forcing himself to calm down. "Even with the limitations tied to reality-altering powers, this is more than enough for now."

For now.

That thought alone sent a thrill down his spine. His enemies would be disoriented when they find out he and his team can't die. They would be exhausted to death

As he began formulating plans—contingencies, emergency scenarios, worst-case futures—he decided to ask the Grid the most obvious question.

"Grid," Zayne said calmly, "how much to upgrade this to the next level?"

The response came instantly.

[10,000,000 Grid Points, Master.]

"…What?"

His eyes bulged slightly.

"Damn," he blurted out before he could stop himself. "How much was it in the first place?"

[5,000,000 Grid Points, Master.]

"…Woohoo…."

He leaned his head back against the couch, staring at the ceiling as if the numbers were physically weighing him down.

He took a deep breath.

Then another.

"…Wuuwuu…," he made a pitiful sound under his breath, dramatically slumping. "I'm actually poor. I really thought my 200,000-plus points could at least upgrade it once. Guess I was delusional."

He wiped at his eyes exaggeratedly, fake tears of anguish streaking down his cheeks as he sniffed loudly.

"This is oppression," he muttered. "Don't bully a poor man. Uh...did I get that quote right?"

After a few seconds of over-the-top despair—something he could only allow himself to do when completely alone—Zayne straightened up and exhaled.

Alright.

Enough messing around.

He rolled his shoulders once and focused again, his gaze sharpening as he moved on to the rest of his rewards. The golden panel shifted, reorganizing itself smoothly.

[2 New Special Skills Detected… Open?]

"Open," Zayne replied without hesitation.

The panel flashed.

[Skills Unlocked]

The first skill appeared.

[A-Tier Skill: Omni Resonance Drive]

Description: Allows the Omni-Ranger to forcibly synchronize with surrounding energy sources—Morphin Grid frequencies, elemental forces, cosmic radiation, or foreign power systems—converting them into usable Omni-energy.

– Temporarily boosts all combat-related attributes by 30% during activation.

– Enables adaptive resistance against unfamiliar abilities.

– Can disrupt enemy power systems reliant on external energy sources.

Cooldown: 0 (Can be spammed, if the mind can take it)

Note: Excessive usage may cause temporary mental fatigue.

Zayne's brows slowly rose.

"…That's busted," he muttered honestly.

This wasn't just a buff skill. This was adaptability incarnate. Against Marvel villains, Rangers, mystic threats, tech-based enemies—this skill alone ensured he'd never be completely outmatched.

"Being able to hijack energy systems mid-fight?" Zayne exhaled. "That's straight-up unfair."

It seems most of the villains he fought now would really be exhausted to death. No matter how strong they are.

The panel shifted again.

[A-Tier Skill: Grid Sovereign Manifestation]

Description: Temporarily establishes the user as a localized authority of the Omni-Grid within a designated combat zone.

– Suppresses hostile Grid-based abilities by up to 40%.

– Enhances allied Rangers within range, increasing synchronization, regeneration, and morale.

– Grants partial control over battlefield conditions influenced by the Grid.

Duration: 1 hour. (Estimated time for energy exhaustion)

Cooldown: 0 (With enough energy, it can be spammed)

Note: Authority is limited by the user's Rank and Sync Rate.

"…So this is what it means to be 'Grid's Chosen,' huh," Zayne murmured, his eyes lighting up with a fierce glint, as if he already saw the doom of the invading aliens.

This wasn't a personal skill.

This was a commander's skill. A domain-type skill

Something meant for wars.

He felt a strange weight settle in his chest as he stared at it. Power like this wasn't meant to be thrown around casually.

After a moment of silence, he tapped the next prompt.

[New Omni-Ranger Form Unlocked — Phase II: Confirm View?]

"Confirm."

The panel exploded into brilliant crimson light.

[Omni-Ranger Phase II Form — "Crimson Ascendant Mode"]

Designation: Omni-Ranger Phase II

Primary Color: Red

Rank Compatibility: C+

Description: An advanced Omni-Ranger combat form developed through deeper synchronization with the Morphin Grid and Universal Core.

– Armor design resembles reinforced battle plating, inspired by ancient Ranger combat forms.

– Chest armor features a dragon-emblem core, enhancing durability and power flow.

– Equipped with adaptive elemental channels, allowing temporary color shifts to represent elemental alignment (Fire, Lightning, Ice, Earth, Wind).

– Elemental shifts grant corresponding resistances and attack enhancements.

– Significantly increases physical strength, combat efficiency, and energy output.

Note: Sustained usage requires a high Sync Rate and mental focus.

Zayne's eyes reflected the red glow of the panel.

"…Wow, I really get all the colors now. Then again, red suits really do go harder," he muttered under his breath.

The design alone screamed power. Unlike his primary form—which balanced versatility and control—this form leaned heavily into domination and battlefield presence.

C+ Rank.

He wasn't surprised. Although, the grid estimated his strength already on the panel. It was taking into consideration his new Omni-form. So he wasn't overly shocked.

That meant he was officially stepping into a higher tier of threats.

He could go toe-to-toe with some city-level villains with raw strength alone now.

The panel continued scrolling.

[New Equipment Unlocked — 15 Items]

Zayne straightened.

"Alright," he said, cracking his knuckles lightly. "Let's see what else you gave me."

The first item appeared.

[Nova Breaker Gauntlets (A-Tier)]

Description: Heavy combat gauntlets forged with condensed stellar alloys.

– Amplifies punching force by 200%.

– Can release short-range explosive shockwaves.

– Compatible with Omni Resonance Drive.

"…Cool, I do like me some punches," Zayne commented, a grin tugging at his lips.

Next.

[Starfall Lance (A-Tier)]

Description: A high-frequency energy lance capable of piercing reinforced armor and energy shields.

– Can be thrown and recalled.

– Generates gravitational pull upon impact.

"That's… actually sick," he admitted.

Item after item followed—Power Rangers tech blended seamlessly with Marvel-tier absurdity.

Each description made his expression shift—sometimes amused, sometimes awed, sometimes uncomfortably serious.

"…This equipment should be enough to strengthen my new team. It would be awkward if I didn't provide any props," Zayne muttered.

Then the last one.

[Ranger Uniform (S-tier): This is a modifiable combat uniform for rangers. It has anti-tracking, disguise ability, anti-damage, self-laundry, storage space, and absolute immunity abilities. The amount is infinite and can be produced at any point in time.]

Zayne was even more pleased by this item. To him, after the revival altar. This takes the second spot. "This would prevent any form of exposure to both enemies and ordinary people."

"Thank you, grid," He added, thanking the grid from the bottom of his heart

[You're welcome, master. You deserve all of it.]

When the panel finally closed, the room fell silent.

Zayne leaned back, letting the exhaustion finally catch up to him.

After tidying up the (although his room wasn't messy. He just has OCD), he made his way to his bedroom.

He collapsed onto the bed face-up, arms spread, staring at the ceiling.

"…Let's get a good night's sleep," he muttered quietly. "Tomorrow might be more chaotic."
