Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Birth Of a Divine Sect - Sanatan Flame Sect

The moment the system notification rang out in his ears, Shaurya's eyes sparkled.

[Reward Received: Sect Main Hall + Sect Infrastructure Unlocked

Bonus: 1x Divine Wheel Spin]

"System," Shaurya asked with a grin, "how do I build this sect?"

[Simple. Go to the location where you wish to establish your domain and speak the Command Word: 'BUILD'. The divine architecture will manifest instantly.]

Shaurya smirked, adjusting his sunglasses. "As expected of my Divine Sect System. Efficient."

He turned to his newly accepted disciples.

The crowd of fifty stared back at him with eager, burning eyes.

"Listen up!" Shaurya announced, his voice echoing across the square. "Go home. Say goodbye to your families. Pack your belongings. In three days, meet me at the Black Peak Mountain outside the city gates. That is where our legend begins!"

The crowd erupted with excitement.

They bowed deeply, then scattered in all directions, rushing home to tell their parents they had joined a sect led by a man who had crushed an Jade Fire Elder's head like a melon.

Soon, the square began to empty.

Yet when the dust settled, two figures still remained.

Xiao Rui and Xiao Lian.

The brother and sister stood quietly at the edge of the plaza, heads lowered, fingers gripping the hems of their worn clothes.

"We… have nowhere to go," Xiao Rui admitted, his voice tight. "Our clan was destroyed. It's just me and my sister."

Xiao Lian clutched her brother's sleeve, her voice barely above a whisper. "I only have my brother."

Shaurya paused.

For a brief moment, the playful grin slipped away.

His gaze softened as he looked at the bruised siblings—children who had been kicked down by the world.

Just like he once had been.

The memory flashed for an instant… then vanished.

Being an experienced reader of countless such tales, Shaurya quickly composed himself.

He stepped forward and placed a firm hand on Xiao Rui's shoulder.

"Who said you are alone?" Shaurya asked, his voice carrying a rare, genuine warmth. "From today onwards, the Sanatan Flame Sect is your home. And I…"

He met their eyes directly.

"I am your family now. I will make you so powerful that one day, even the heavens will tremble at your names. You will take your revenge with your own hands."

Their eyes widened.

Tears welled up, but didn't fall.

Instead, a fire ignited within them—the will to survive.

They dropped to their knees.

"Thank you… Master!"

Shaurya patted their heads lightly. "Good. Now get up. We have a mountain to conquer."

Together, the trio left the city behind, heading toward the ominous silhouette of the Black Peak.

As they walked, Shaurya's attention drifted to the glowing icon hovering at the edge of his vision.

Divine Wheel Spin Available

"System," he asked casually, "what's in the pool?"

[Everything. It is the Wheel of Fate. You may receive a God-Tier Dragon, or a used pair of socks. Luck decides all.]

Shaurya's grin widened like a child entering a candy shop. "I feel lucky today. Jai Shree Ganesh Ji. Let's roll."

[Use: Divine Spin.]

A massive golden roulette wheel materialized within his mind's eye, humming with celestial energy.

It spun rapidly, colors blurring together—White for Common, Blue for Rare, Purple for Epic, Gold for Legendary…

And Red.

Tick… tick… tick…

The wheel slowed.

It passed a Blue Experience Pill.

It slid past a Purple Flash Step Technique.

Then it crept toward a razor-thin sliver of terrifying red light.

Click.

DING!

[CONGRATULATIONS!

Critical Luck Triggered!

Reward: Immortal-Level (Low Grade) Weapon — The Meteorite Sword

Stored in System Inventory]

Shaurya nearly tripped over his own feet.

"IMMORTAL LEVEL?!" he screamed internally.

[Weapon Grades: Earth, Sky, Spirit, King, Emperor, Immortal ]

[Note: This sword was forged from the core of a dying star. It is currently sealed. You are too weak to wield its full power, but even in its sealed state, it can slice through Spirit-grade armor like tofu.]

Shaurya clamped a hand over his mouth to stop himself from laughing out loud.

"Tofu… hehehe… tofu."

Xiao Rui glanced at him nervously. "Master? Are you okay?"

"I'm fantastic, Rui. Just fantastic."

By the time they reached the foot of the mountain, the sun was beginning to set.

The atmosphere here was completely different.

The air was cold, heavy with the scent of damp earth and old blood. Black Peak Mountain bordered the Demonic Beast Valley.

Few people dared live near the valley.

Demonic beasts roamed its depths, and many sect disciples entered it to hunt beast cores — though not all of them returned alive.

It was silent.

Too silent.

"Master…" Xiao Lian whispered, staring at the barren, overgrown land. "Are you sure this is the place? There… there's nothing here."

She wasn't wrong.

Weeds grew waist-high. Jagged rocks littered the ground. It looked like a graveyard for abandoned dreams.

Shaurya walked calmly to the center of the clearing.

He looked at the desolate peak.

Then he turned back to his doubtful disciples.

He smirked.

"Nothing here?" Shaurya chuckled. "You simply lack vision."

Turning his back to them, he raised his chin slightly.

The wind howled, whipping his white robes violently.

"Silence," Shaurya commanded. "You are about to witness the wrath of your Master."

He closed his eyes and raised one arm toward the heavens, palm open.

[System Command: BUILD SECT MAIN HALL]

Shaurya's eyes snapped open, glowing faint gold.

"BUILD!"

For a heartbeat, nothing happened.

Then—

The earth groaned.

RUUUUUUMBLE!

The ground shook violently. Xiao Rui grabbed his sister to keep her from falling.

"Look!" Xiao Rui shouted, pointing toward the mountain.

The weeds vaporized instantly.

Jagged rocks were pulverized into dust.

From the soil, white marble pillars erupted like growing trees. Golden roof tiles formed out of thin air, locking together with thunderous force.

BOOOOOM!

A massive wave of spiritual energy exploded outward, clearing the mist in an instant.

In the blink of an eye, the wasteland vanished.

In its place stood a Celestial Palace.

It was massive.

Glorious.

Divine.

As the sect structures formed, the surrounding spiritual energy began to gather toward the mountain.

Cultivators had always built their sects in such places, where natural energy flowed more strongly and training became far more effective.

Ancient temple aesthetics blended seamlessly with mystical majesty.

The towering Main Hall stood proudly, its walls carved with legendary weapons of Sanatan Dharma—the swirling Sudarshan Chakra, the mighty Trishul, the crushing Kaumodaki Gada, and several other golden patterns.

Two giant side pavilions for disciples—one male, one female—flanked the main structure, connected by floating stone bridges.

Yet the true centerpiece stood at the heart of it all.

Within a celestial fountain, water spilling from blooming lotus flowers, rose a ten-foot statue of pure white marble.

It was Shaurya.

Not meditating.

Not wielding a weapon.

The Marble Shaurya's statue stood straight, arms extended horizontally.

A perfect T-pose.

The statue's expression radiated supreme, regal calm.

Xiao Rui was speechless.

Xiao Lian's mouth hung open.

"M-Master…" Xiao Rui stammered, pointing at the statue. "What… what is that pose?"

Shaurya folded his arms and looked up at the towering statue with immense satisfaction.

"That," he announced proudly, "is a sacred posture from my homeland. It belongs to Lord Jagannath, the Lord of the Universe."

He immediately spread both arms wide, perfectly mimicking the statue.

"The meaning behind it is profound. It represents Purna—Completeness. A ruler cannot pick and choose what parts of the world to accept. If you wish to lead others, your heart must be large enough to embrace everything. The good and the bad. Order and chaos. Victory and failure. A true leader leaves no place for narrow-mindedness."

Xiao Rui and Xiao Lian listened attentively.

Neither fully understood every word.

Yet somehow it still sounded incredibly profound.

Shaurya maintained the pose for several more seconds before a grin suddenly spread across his face.

"Also..."

He pointed toward the statue.

"It looks cool."

The disciples immediately nodded.

"It looks extremely cool."

"Very cool."

The Sect Master's smile widened.

At least someone appreciated art.

Satisfied with the statue inspection, Shaurya turned toward the Main Hall.

"Come on."

The enormous doors stood before them like the entrance to a royal palace.

Placing both hands against them, Shaurya pushed.

A deep groan echoed through the structure as the doors slowly swung inward.

The moment the interior became visible, all three stopped walking.

Even Shaurya forgot what he was about to say.

The hall was magnificent.

Polished obsidian floors stretched across the chamber like a mirror, reflecting countless lights embedded throughout the walls. Above them, the ceiling shimmered with countless silver formations that resembled a star-filled night sky.

At the far end of the hall stood a throne.

Not gold.

Not jade.

Silver.

Nine broad stone steps led upward toward it, each one carved with ancient patterns that radiated quiet dignity. The throne itself seemed less like furniture and more like the seat of a divine ruler.

Shaurya's eyes widened.

Then widened further.

Then widened even more.

"This..."

His voice came out slightly hoarse.

"This is amazing."

The next moment he was already running.

His robes fluttered behind him as he rushed up the steps two at a time before throwing himself onto the throne.

The silver seat fit him perfectly.

One leg draped over an armrest while his chin rested lazily against his fist.

After a few seconds of silent appreciation, laughter burst from his mouth.

"Hahahaha! This is it! This is the life!"

Xiao Rui and Xiao Lian finally entered the hall.

The atmosphere felt different near the throne.

The moment they looked up, both disciples unconsciously straightened.

Their master sat beneath the silver light pouring from above, completely relaxed and smiling like an idiot.

Yet somehow...

He still looked like he belonged there.

The throne didn't make him look powerful.

It made the throne look complete.

The realization surprised both disciples.

Without discussing it, they stepped forward and knelt at the foot of the stairs.

"Greetings, Sect Master."

"Greetings, Sect Master."

The laughter gradually faded from Shaurya's face.

Looking down at the two disciples kneeling before him, he suddenly felt something unfamiliar settle onto his shoulders.

Only a short while ago he had been alone.

Now he had disciples.

A sect.

A future that extended beyond himself.

The responsibility felt strangely real.

For the first time since arriving in this world, the title of Sect Master no longer sounded like a joke.

Then—

[Ding!]

The familiar notification echoed inside his mind.

The atmosphere shattered instantly.

Shaurya blinked.

Then sighed.

Then smiled.

"Ah."

He leaned back comfortably against the throne.

"Of course."

The System had impeccable timing.

As always.
