“I told you to actually rest while you’re taking a break. What will you do if you ruin your health one day?”
“I actually had a good rest though…” Apollonia glanced at Uriel and responded, thinking that Adrianne might have assumed she was getting tired from spending too much time with him.
Uriel appeared to have had a similar thought, judging by how he looked at Adrianne. However, he still kept his right arm wrapped around Apollonia’s waist.
However, Adrianne wasn’t focused on either of them.
“Reading that vile book that’s thick as a croadin’s hind leg and filled with tiny letters isn’t resting at all!”
She was gazing at the code of law that Uriel had tossed earlier, grumbling as she approached the book.
“I’d love to hide it somewhere, but it’s too heavy for me to even carry. Just have a date in the garden like before when you’re taking a break.”
