The Aeldari Pantheon
Gazing at the massive spatial gateways as they slowly closed, Asuryan's expression darkened. Addressing the assembled Aeldari dark gods not far away, he said gravely:
"A great threat approaches. If you wish to survive, restrain yourselves and prepare."
Without waiting for their reactions, he turned and left the shadowed hall that served as the pantheon of the Aeldari.
The dark gods exchanged glances—some troubled, some utterly indifferent.
Meanwhile, the mortal Aeldari Empire, upon discovering that nearly one-tenth of its territory had vanished in mere minutes, was enraged. Their fury only intensified when they realized that every one of the worlds that departed had left voluntarily. Were it not for their deep fear of the God of Art, countless decadent Aeldari factions would have immediately begun spreading slander and condemnation.
The rational Aeldari, hesitant yet resigned, began organizing their people to board world-ships, preparing to flee toward regions they believed might remain safe.
Thus the Aeldari Empire entered a strange period—its circumstances both changed and unchanged. Though the loss of population and resources weakened them, what remained was still more than enough to dominate the entire galaxy effortlessly.
And with the departure of the saner factions, the decadent Aeldari, now unopposed internally, plunged ever deeper into madness…

Years Later — The Warp, the Pleasure Fortress
The Pleasure Fortress, once murky and indistinct, had slowly shifted from illusion to clarity.
At its towering spires, waves of violet mist poured outward. Its black stone ramparts were draped with uncountable corpses and twisted lifeforms. When the wind blew, a chorus of ecstatic moans—like those heard in the throes of indulgence—echoed freely across the vast stronghold.
Deep within lay a chamber whose interior stretched endlessly.
Hundreds of lesser daemons of Slaanesh and dual-sexed pleasure-servants lay dormant like statues. The closer one moved toward the center, the stronger the sleeping daemons became.
At the heart was a vast, soft bed—its material part fur, part membranous organ, exuding a strange and alluring fragrance. Upon this bed were arranged countless objects of beauty drawn from innumerable worlds: magnificent creatures, radiant miniature stars, and other marvels.
At their center lay a sleeping figure.
The being had no fixed gender, no fixed race. To any who beheld it, it appeared in the most irresistibly beautiful form imaginable.
From this figure's body flowed visible streams of power, which seeped into countless realms, changing them. These energies had been responsible for the Warp storms that had ravaged the material universe for millennia.
As time passed, the power leaking from the figure diminished—slower, and slower…
Until eventually, it dwindled to almost nothing.
Then the figure opened its eyes.
Sitting up lazily, it rubbed them, stretched, and—much like a mortal rising from bed—gave a soft, casual yawn.
That yawn changed everything.
A torrent of power capable of reshaping worlds erupted from the being—Slaanesh, now fully awakened. The energy swept outward like a tidal wave, surging across the Warp. Countless lesser Warp entities were shredded into dust before they understood what was happening.
The Warp storms born from Slaanesh's earlier struggle ruptured instantly, bursting like fragile bubbles. Leftover energy spilled from the Warp into the material universe, contaminating many star systems.
All throughout the fortress, the daemons of Slaanesh awoke in unison.

The Material Universe — Within Aeldari Territory
Following the trail of the Aeldari's decadent emotions, Slaanesh's newly awakened power descended upon them.
Distance meant nothing.
Everywhere the decadent Aeldari existed, the same calamity struck at the exact same moment.
What had been a mere "yawn" to Slaanesh was, to them, a soul-splitting shriek. Their bodies and spirits tore apart instantly. Worlds shattered—space-time cracked open—Warp tides poured into realspace, rewriting reality as they surged.
Before the Aeldari could react, their empire—spanning thousands of light-years at the galactic core—was annihilated.
Their grand fleets, once unmatched, were obliterated without even glimpsing their enemy.
Snow meeting a distant sun would last longer.
Tens of trillions of Aeldari souls shrieked as they were devoured—dragged screaming into Slaanesh's domain and consumed as the newborn god's first meal.
"Delicious…"
Slaanesh murmured with satisfaction as the last soul was swallowed.
The god rose from the bed, surrounded by reverent daemons, and took a single step. That step carried Slaanesh across impossible distances, depositing the deity before the towering Aeldari Pantheon.
With graceful, sensual steps, Slaanesh ascended the stairs and pushed open the massive doors with ease, ignoring every resistance.
Inside, the Aeldari dark gods stared in horror.
Slaanesh smiled with bright, pleased delight:
"Ordinary Aeldari are already exquisite… but for a post-slumber feast, nothing compares to you. You cannot imagine how many cycles I've waited for this moment."
