Chapter 224 - Chapter 224: The Purest Branch

"Hmm... let me think. What should I use to create this clue?"

After parting ways with March 7th and the others, Lumina arrived at the location of Irminsul, the World Tree. Gazing up at the sacred, holy aura emanating from the Irminsul, she lowered her head, lost in thought.

The words she had spoken to March 7th and the others earlier were, of course, lies. Lumina had not yet created any clue in Sumeru City.

"Hmm... I've got it!" The next moment, as if spotting something, a faint light flickered in Lumina's emerald-green eyes.

"I'll use a branch from this Irminsul tree to construct the clue..."

Gazing at the Irminsul tree before her, Lumina muttered to herself. Although this plotline seemed vaguely familiar, it didn't matter. The Cosmos was vast; coincidences were bound to happen, weren't they?

This is what Lumina thought to herself, before unleashing her power. A golden-green light radiated from her body, gradually merging with the lingering radiance of Irminsul.

Sensing that she had gained control over Irminsul, Lumina first scanned the tree. Then, she reached out and snapped off the purest branch, infusing it with a portion of her power.

"Hmm... What form should I give it?"

The preceding steps had gone remarkably smoothly, but Lumina quickly became lost in thought about the appearance of this "clue."

"Hmm... Oh well. There are already so many similar things in the world... What's one more or one less at this point?"

With that thought, Lumina nodded, abandoned further contemplation, and began shaping the purest branch.

As the minutes ticked by, the pristine branch vanished entirely. In its place stood a diminutive, green humanoid figure.

"Hmm, as expected of myself."

Having completed everything, Lumina nodded in satisfaction as she gazed at the familiar, diminutive figure before her.

"Though a certain GI Player might find it vaguely familiar... No matter. Setting aside the facts, it's purely coincidental."

"As for this body, once I've finished my tasks here, I'll leave it to Irminsul's consciousness."

Lumina glanced at the diminutive body, then at Irminsul, thinking to herself.

"Hmm... so this is what it feels like to be a Dual Body Spirit? It's... quite peculiar, isn't it?"

She split off a tiny fragment of her consciousness and sent it into the diminutive body. As the figure's eyes slowly opened, two distinct perspectives materialized in Lumina's mind.

The dual perspectives immediately struck her as odd. Guiding the diminutive body through a series of movements, she mused,

"How utterly adorable..."

Watching the small body perform those movements, a flash of tenderness and delight flickered across Lumina's eyes. She couldn't help but reach out and gently rest her palm on its head, softly stroking its hair.

"Mmm..."

As Lumina's hand gently massaged the head, an indescribable tingling sensation surged through her heart, a sensation so intense that a faint blush crept onto her cheeks.

Startled, Lumina's hand recoiled as if shocked by static electricity.

No wonder Asta and March 7th looked so blissful when I patted their heads before... So this is what they felt back then...

With flushed cheeks, Lumina recalled the blissful expressions on Asta and March 7th's faces when she had patted their heads. Suddenly, she understood exactly what they had experienced.

Touching myself like this... This feeling is just too strange.

Looking at the small figure before her, Lumina shook her head and temporarily dismissed the thought.

Though the body before her, crafted from the purest branches, was undeniably adorable, making Lumina's hands itch to reach out...

But in their current Dual Body Spirit state, all sensations were shared. Touching her would be the same as touching herself...

Touching herself? That was something she still couldn't bring herself to accept.

Lumina shook her head. I can't touch her now, but that's fine. Once I've resolved everything, I'll transfer Irminsul's consciousness into her...

Then, she'll let me pat her head as much as I want...

Without dwelling further, Lumina sensed the current locations of March 7th and the others. Guiding her new body, she ventured into Sumeru City, ready to orchestrate a "chance encounter"...

"Ugh... I'm so tired. If I'd known being a gacha character would be this exhausting, I would've just stayed lazy."

After completing her preparations, Lumina couldn't help but sigh.

As a self-proclaimed "laziness enthusiast," the energy she'd expended on these tasks far exceeded her usual threshold...
