Shen Muyuan was already sleeping lightly, and on top of that, he was restless after returning to the organization, so he didn't sleep well that night. In the middle of the night, he vaguely heard rustling sounds outside the door. Then, it seemed like someone gently pushed the door open, and a scream shattered the silence of the entire floor.
"Ah!"
Shen Muyuan turned on the light and sat up, only to see a girl sitting at the door, looking to be in her early twenties. She was wearing the same white nightgown as him, and had fallen to the ground, with blood oozing out of the soles of her feet. A bloody steel needle had pierced through the sole of her foot, a horrifying sight to behold.
The girl was holding her shinbone, crying and wailing in pain. What kind of pain was it to have a steel needle piercing through the sole of one's foot?
Her screams quickly attracted her companions, and several men and women gathered at the door, peering inside.
"What's wrong? What happened?"
