Chapter 546 - 546 World in Chaos

Grace was curious about many things—the true nature of Avalon, the secrets of Morgan's era, and all sorts of bizarre mysteries she wished to uncover.

But all of it paled in comparison to the grudges of the past.

"Salazar?" Morgan was somewhat surprised. "You actually know him? Well, that makes sense, you're both British. He founded some... Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, didn't he?"

"I am the Headmaster of that school," Wayne introduced himself with a smile. Apart from finding it quite a coincidence, Morgan wasn't particularly astonished.

In her time, only strength mattered, not age. If one were powerful enough, it wouldn't be strange for them to become a king, let alone a Headmaster.

"You still haven't answered her question." Wayne held Grace's trembling hand. He understood the girl's excitement, but he couldn't reveal any more information to Morgan.

Though they weren't exactly enemies now, they were still wary of each other.

"What a pity," Morgan said, having already noticed Grace's reaction and mentally noting it. She covered her mouth with a light laugh. "If you had come just a bit earlier, you might have met Salazar."

"Where did he go?" Grace forced herself to stay calm as she asked.

"I don't know," Morgan replied bluntly. "We were just ordinary neighbours. Well, you could say I was his landlord. Now that I've returned to the main world, he naturally left."

"How annoying..." Grace gritted her teeth silently, her azure eyes turning to Wayne.

Wayne nodded. "One last question—I'll ask it all at once, and then you can ask me."

"Very well."

"Why did your so-called divine realm leave Earth back then, and how did Slytherin find you?"

"That's two questions," Morgan said, displeased.

Wayne remained unmoved. "I wasn't satisfied with the answer to the second question. You didn't reveal anything useful."

"Fine, I'll accept that as a reason," Morgan sighed, agreeing with Wayne's point.

"Let's talk about the divine realm first..."

"The divine realm was never a product of Earth. It was the remnants of a great civilisation that accidentally arrived on Earth after its destruction."

"However, our planet originally had no supernatural power. The mysteries within the divine realm were continuously transferred, which led to the flourishing of magic in later eras."

"But the realm itself had its own instincts. Unwilling to be continuously drained by Earth, some of the more powerful divine realms broke away from the main world and ventured into the unknown, seeking to merge with stronger worlds. Many ancient wizards and races, after being defeated, chose to hide within them and escaped together. As for the weaker divine realms, they either remained on Earth and were drained completely... or were torn to shreds by the chaotic currents in the void."

At this point, Morgan showed a playful smile again. "As for Salazar... I must say, he was a remarkable wizard. He actually used the only clue Avalon left in this world to traverse the dangerous void and find his way here. Though he was severely injured, I found such an interesting person rare, so I healed him."

"We got along quite well. I rather liked his Dark Magic."

"Are you satisfied with that answer?"

"Most satisfactory, thank you for your candour, Your Highness Morgan." Wayne could generally discern whether Morgan was lying and expressed his gratitude sincerely.

"My remaining two questions are quite simple as well. First, how long has passed since my era? Second, how many others in this world possess strength comparable to yours?"

"Allow me to answer," Grace interjected. "Over eighteen hundred years have passed since King Arthur's time, and Wayne is currently recognised as the world's strongest individual."

"The strongest?" Morgan examined the youth once more, but it was like observing the moon through thick fog - nothing could be clearly discerned.

"If you don't believe it, you're welcome to test him."

"Believe? Why wouldn't I believe?" Morgan chuckled delicately. "For such a dilapidated world to produce someone like you is already remarkable. If Miss Grace claimed there were eighty or a hundred stronger than you, I wouldn't believe that at all."

"Both of you, today's conversation has been most pleasant. I hope you feel the same. There remain many matters in Avalon requiring my attention, so... farewell."

Morgan's voice gradually faded as her body dissolved back into a pool of clear water.

The island regained its silence. After a long moment, Grace finally asked: "Did you locate her whereabouts?"

"No," Wayne shook his head. "The world's laws have solidified, making divination considerably more difficult. Moreover, Avalon protects her. I could only determine her true form is very distant from me - the same applies to Slytherin."

Grace sighed: "Never mind, he'll show himself eventually."

After brief disappointment, Grace regained her determination: "Wayne, I want to search for Slytherin."

"Not now," Wayne refused decisively. "Didn't you hear Morgan? With so many subsidiary planes merging with the main world, we've no clarity about the external situation. Remain in London and help stabilise Britain's magical community. You can go when the situation becomes clearer."

"Very well." Grace acknowledged the truth in Wayne's words and didn't insist.

The pair returned to London. After informing Grace, Wayne travelled to Japan, where he found Sakura and Tomoyo battling various grotesque monsters.

During his conversation with Morgan, Wayne had sensed the activation of the marks he'd placed on them, though they'd remained stable - indicating no danger - which was why he'd delayed until now.

BOOM!

A tremendous magical storm erupted, sweeping away all the spirits before them without harming any witches or wizards. Shredded flesh rained from the sky, splattering onto the bewildered faces of Japan's magical practitioners.

"Wayne!" Sakura and Tomoyo exclaimed with delight.

"I'm relieved you're unharmed." Wayne nodded. "The world has descended into chaos. Come with me to Britain."

Within half an hour, Sakura and Tomoyo's families had gathered around Wayne. Ho-Oh unfurled a massive vortex of flames that enveloped everyone, transporting them all to Hogwarts.

...

This night, nearly the entire world plunged into turmoil.

Fire-breathing creatures materialising from nowhere, people flying haphazardly through the air on carpets, dragons streaking across the skies, tsunamis triggering earthquakes.

Various catastrophes unfolded in succession, almost completely overturning people's understanding of reality.

The clock measuring the magical world's exposure level at the North American Ministry had exploded. Wizards appearing from nowhere were recklessly performing magic, and many countries had dispatched Aurors to subdue them, only to suffer numerous casualties.

These wizards did not use wands but were exceptionally powerful and outnumbered the Aurors, making containment impossible.

Fortunately, Britain's hidden realm seemed limited to Avalon, which posed no immediate threat after Morgan's departure.

But this was only temporary. Wizards from across the Channel on the European continent had already turned their attention toward Britain.

"Wayne, what exactly do you know?"

Early the next morning, Dumbledore, Crouch, Bones, Moody, and other key Ministry of Magic figures gathered at Hogwarts.

Nearly all Ministry Aurors and staff had been deployed to prevent unrest, but this disaster was global in scale.

Keynes was already on his way, and not just him—either the Ministers for Magic of various nations were arriving in person, or they had sent their heads of magical cooperation departments, all seeking assistance.

As for Grindelwald, he had originally intended to come, but an ancient site had appeared near Durmstrang, releasing hundreds of long-extinct water lizards. He had no choice but to remain at the school to maintain control, sending Dumbledore with his two-way mirror instead.

Wayne shared all the intelligence he possessed.

Apart from his voice, the room fell into complete silence. Everyone held their breath, their expressions shifting constantly.

"All ancient wizards?" Nicolas, who had rushed from Devon, licked his dry lips.

"No, it would be more accurate to say most are descendants of ancient wizards," Wayne corrected. "How many wizards can live a thousand years? Most ancient wizards are long dead. Their descendants have multiplied within hidden realms, likely forming pure-blooded wizard communities."

"And those monsters..."

"They're magical creatures," Newt timidly corrected, earning glares from everyone. He quickly amended, "Fine, let's call them monsters for now."

Wayne paused. "In short, there are too many of them. The exposure of wizards is inevitable. The Statute of Secrecy is finished, completely finished."

Hearing this, the group turned ashen, but Grindelwald, visible in the two-way mirror, smiled.

'Well done, ancient wizards.'

"Wayne, what do we do now?" Dumbledore slumped weakly on the sofa, unable to conceive of any solution. The most critical issue was that they didn't even know how many descendants of ancient wizards existed.

"Waiting and observing is the best approach," Wayne said, having sorted through his thoughts overnight. "First, control the wizards within the country. Ensure they cause no trouble. Britain itself is still safe for now."

"Second, gather intelligence at full capacity. Identify which countries have seen appearances of ancient wizards, locate their gathering points, and compile the information."

"Third, deploy Muggle-repelling charms around Hogwarts and Hogsmeade. Don't worry about that—I'll handle it."

Wayne turned his gaze to the two-way mirror again. "Mr Grindelwald, I hope you won't act recklessly. I'm not certain how many powerful ancient wizards exist - there might even be ancient monsters who've lived for thousands of years, like Morgan. She's definitely not someone you can handle."

Based on yesterday's contact, he was certain that Morgan was also a pseudo-Legend, without transformed magical power or life evolution. But the world had changed, now capable of accommodating true Legend powerhouses.

Given enough time, they would inevitably break through.

Well... although they still seemed like weaklings in his view, the biggest problem was that these weaklings hadn't revealed themselves, and Wayne didn't know how many existed.

"I understand." Grindelwald accepted the advice gracefully, believing that trusting someone stronger than oneself was the humility the weak should possess.

"Professor." Wayne then looked at Dumbledore. "Leave the Ministry of Magic affairs to Crouch and Bones. You should travel around Europe. It would be even better if you could capture some descendants of ancient wizards - extract the answers I want directly from their minds. You know what to do."

Dumbledore nodded slightly, understanding Wayne's meaning.

Veritaserum, Legilimency, even the Imperius Curse - these previously forbidden methods would have to be employed now. This was no time for mercy.

"Go and handle this first. If any problems arise, consult Grace first. If she can't resolve them, then come to me."

Wayne stood up and approached the full-length mirror, transforming his robes into a tailored suit and adjusting his collar.

"Where are you going?" Nicolas asked.

"Downing Street, to have a chat with my uncle and Hacker."
