Chapter 554 - 554 Ultimate Mission: Wipe Out The Seven Divine Realms!

"Could you be a bit steadier next time? Who charges straight into someone's headquarters at the slightest disagreement?"

"Even if you were coming, you should've called me first. What was the rush? These birdmen weren't going anywhere."

The newcomer was Grace. After sending the Goblins to St Mungo's, Professor McGonagall had immediately sought out Dumbledore. Realising Wayne had already gone to the Vatican, Dumbledore was utterly speechless.

He wanted to help, but the old wizard knew his involvement would only make things worse.

At best, he could handle two four-winged angels – but what good would that do?

He'd already seen over ten of them; it was simply unwinnable.

So he could only turn to Grace – though Wayne had never explicitly said Grace was Ravenclaw, he had told both Grindelwald and Dumbledore to seek Grace's help with any unsolvable problems in his absence.

Grace rushed to the Vatican without another word, yet still arrived a step too late.

"Grace..."

Wayne let out a long sigh, the wings on his back gradually vanishing under Grace's curious gaze as he exited his World Ender form.

"You saw for yourself – dealing with these angels didn't require our combined effort."

The youth cheerfully stowed the four pseudo-Legend beings and Gabriel's corpse in his storage pouch, the Dimensional Altar sending pleased thoughts.

Finally, it could 'eat' something to fill its stomach.

With five beings combined, it was enough for Wayne to open two dimensional passages.

"Come on, let's see if there are any stragglers inside," Wayne called out, flying deeper into the divine domain.

Grace smiled wryly and followed behind him.

The Heaven Divine Realm wasn't particularly large or small, covering dozens of square kilometres – roughly the size of a medium-sized city.

But searching it was quite straightforward, as the number of angels was extremely small. Much of the area was mountainous, with vast stretches of greenery left undeveloped.

After flying for a few minutes, they reached the core area of the divine realm – where a pure white palace stood, several times larger than Hogwarts Castle.

On the plaza before the castle was a massive pool, but instead of water, it contained a golden liquid radiating intense holy energy.

"This must be the foundation of the angels – the Rebirth Pool." Wayne landed beside the pool. Since Gabriel had mentioned transforming him into an angel, he'd guessed the divine realm must contain similar treasures.

The golden liquid in the pool was only a thin layer, and neither of them touched it recklessly.

Pure energy crystals weren't necessarily beneficial – those angels remained fanatical even after their master's death, possibly influenced by the Rebirth Pool.

As for the angel castle, given the time limit, Wayne didn't plan to loot it immediately. Instead, he decided to take the entire structure, including the ground beneath it, to study slowly back home.

After half an hour, both the castle and Rebirth Pool had been transferred to the temporary suitcase world he'd created. Wayne and Grace exited the Heaven Divine Realm.

Before leaving, Wayne destroyed several key nodes of the subspace. Space began to collapse at the edges, and within days it would be completely destroyed.

As he completed this task, the system's notification sounded right on schedule.

[Congratulations, host, on obtaining the achievement — 'Satan Lawrence', destroying the Heaven Divine Realm, annihilating the world's foremost religious foundation. Reward: 40,000 points. Unlocking the world's ultimate mission — I Bring the End to the World!]

[Mission introduction: The divine realms have emerged, yet people seem to have forgotten that the Chaos Demon King is the true ruler of this planet. Mission objective: Destroy the Seven Divine Realms. Progress: 1/7 completed. For each subsequent divine realm destroyed, reward: 30,000 points. Upon mission completion, reward: Dragon King inheritance progress +10%.]

Wayne quickly scanned the mission details and froze for a moment.

This was likely the most rewarding mission he had ever received. Seven divine realms, with 30,000 points for each one after the first, plus the 40,000 from the Heaven Divine Realm... That's 220,000 points.

But the real prize lay in the mission's ultimate completion.

Ten percent of the Dragon King inheritance was equivalent to ten pseudo-Divine level rewards. Calculated together, this mission's value exceeded a million points!

Returning to the present world, the originally resplendent and extravagantly opulent St. Peter's Basilica had been completely reduced to ruins.

The residual shockwaves from Wayne's battle with the angels, leaking through the spatial rift, had destroyed not only the entire Vatican but also large sections of Rome.

Gazing at the wreckage and debris before him, Wayne felt intense regret.

"Michelangelo's Pietà, Bernini's Baldacchino, the Chair of Saint Peter, and the Veil of Veronica—all destroyed. If I'd known, I would have collected them before going in to kill."

He held no particular feelings towards religion, but weren't these artworks from the Renaissance period all treasures of humanity?

Keeping them in a church was somewhat wasteful, but displaying them in Lawrence's family museum would have been putting them to proper use!

Now, they were all smashed to pieces by his own hands.

Wayne was so furious he wished he could kill those angels all over again.

Grace found it both irritating and amusing.

"You've already exterminated their entire kind, and you're still worried about these artworks?"

"Alright, let's head back quickly. I want to study those books from the angel castle," she said, preparing to drag Wayne away. But he shook his head.

"Wait a moment, there's still some unfinished business."

Under Grace's puzzled gaze, Wayne took out a cross, planted it in the ground, then produced an angel's corpse and nailed it to the cross in the manner of Jesus' crucifixion.

Finally, he erected a sign beside it.

[Lawrence was here. Heaven Divine Realm, destroyed!]

Admiring his handiwork, Wayne nodded in satisfaction, took a couple of photos, and then contentedly left the ruins of Rome with Grace.

Half an hour later, some daring believers ventured into the rubble, saw the dead angel and the sign, gasped in shock, and began wailing.

"Lord! Why have you fallen to the demon!"

...

Two days passed in the blink of an eye. An event of this magnitude had already erupted into a storm, sweeping through major powers worldwide, both Muggles and wizards alike.

Christians felt as if they had returned to the year 30 AD. The tragic image of the beautiful angel crucified spread wildly, piercing the hearts of every devout believer.

Even within Britain, large-scale protests and demonstrations broke out.

The conflict between Catholicism and Protestantism stemmed from differing interpretations of doctrine, compounded by historical divisions that caused the schism.

Yet both faiths worship the same Lord - even when tendons are severed, the bones remain connected.

Wayne's blatant act of blasphemy had thoroughly enraged these believers.

Dozens of riots erupted simultaneously across Britain, quickly escalating from unrest to full-scale rebellion, with perpetrators committing every crime imaginable, from murder and arson to looting and destruction.

However, the rebellions were suppressed as quickly as they had emerged.

The authorities directly deployed military forces, arresting all participants without trial and imprisoning them.

Humphrey stepped forward at a nationally televised press conference, accusing the demonstrators of being utterly undemocratic and of interfering with others' freedom of belief.

While Hacker didn't dare offend voters, Humphrey - long since become the epitome of an amoral civil servant - had no such reservations.

Humphrey actually hoped the riots would grow larger, allowing the Lawrence family to legitimately open more prisons and profit from government funds.

Ah, in this free democratic world, even prisons are privately operated.

...

The chaos in the Muggle world couldn't temporarily affect the wizarding community, as British wizards were nearly ready to enshrine Wayne as the God of Magic.

No, it would be more accurate to say they were preparing to dedicate a separate page in the History of Magic to Wayne.

Not even Merlin had ever accomplished the feat of single-handedly destroying a divine realm, with rumours claiming dozens of angels had been slain, the weakest among them as powerful as the former Voldemort.

This led many wizards to marvel at how rapidly times were changing.

The once-feared Voldemort, whose name people dared not speak, had now been reduced to a unit of measurement.

Even the most timid wizards now casually uttered Voldemort's true name.

Meanwhile, the other six divine realms received the news one after another, each reacting differently.

...

Nibelung.

An ancient golden dragon lay upon a small mountain of treasure.

This dragon was Orynix, ruler of Nibelung, an ancient being who had survived since prehistoric times. Though he appeared aged and decrepit, even the golden lustre of his scales having dimmed, no creature who dared challenge him had ever survived.

A wyvern lay prostrate on the ground, conveying in Draconic the information it had gathered from human society.

The dragon king's rhythmic snoring had ceased, and he had opened his twin pupils, each as large as a human.

"Gabriel... is dead too?"

"Yes, Your Majesty. According to news from the British Isles, all five six-winged angels fell to Wayne Lawrence's hand."

Silence.

A long silence.

"A sixteen-year-old Legend... Such talent has never appeared in our world. Perhaps this world's resurgence is connected to him as well."

Like an old fox grown crafty with age, Orynix had guessed close to the truth through intuition and experience.

"Keep the young ones in line - they must not provoke the human wizards," the dragon king commanded. "The space we occupy is sufficient for our needs. Any fool who angers him should present themselves for execution alone, without implicating other kin."

"As you command."

...

Asgard Divine Realm.

Odin's eyebrows knitted tightly together as he listened to his subordinate's report.

"How is this possible? How could someone in this world kill Gabriel, and inside the Heaven Divine Realm at that? How on earth did he manage it?"

"I don't believe it." The ancient wizard who inherited the name of Thor, God of Thunder, paced irritably. "It must be false information."

"The Vatican has been razed to the ground, and a four-winged angel was nailed to a cross. Do you need to see it for yourself?" Heimdall said.

"Fine, I'll go! I'll head to Britain as well to meet that Lawrence!" Thor grabbed his hammer and made to leave.

"Come back!" Odin's cold voice rang out. "Are you going to throw your life away by going now?"

"Bloody..."

"Silence! The destruction of the Heaven Divine Realm is already a fact. Do not provoke Britain. Break through to Legend quickly, or I will revoke your divine power as God of Thunder!"

Thor yielded, grumbling as he returned to his palace.

After a moment of contemplation, Odin instructed Heimdall: "Go to Olympus... We must unite now."

"This world... is not as simple as we thought."

Heimdall nodded gravely and departed on Odin's mission.

Standing atop the snowy mountain peak, Odin looked down upon the land, his heart filled with complex emotions.

He was not the original Odin who had left Earth, but the second-generation successor. However, the records about the Heaven Divine Realm in their archives were comprehensive - he understood perfectly well their strength.

While calling it the strongest divine realm on Earth might be a slight exaggeration, it was absolutely on par with Asgard.

He had originally maintained a superior attitude, looking down upon the world, but the sudden emergence of Wayne Lawrence had undoubtedly dealt him a heavy blow.

...

Constantinople.

Still in the Hagia Sophia, Slytherin had listened to Peter Pettigrew's report and hadn't spoken for a full half hour.

He was completely questioning his existence.

Seriously... is that Lawrence really that powerful?!

How on earth did he manage it?!
