DIANA'S POV.
By the time I reached the hallway leading to Master Logan's room, my chest couldn't stop rising and falling so fast I could feel it in my throat. I slowed down, pressing a hand against my chest, trying to breathe normally.
The door stood in front of me, intimidating, and carrying the scent of someone I had spent too long cussing.
But he healed me.
That was the only thing pushing my feet forward. I took in a deep breath…Then another…
And finally I raised my hand to knock as my fingers trembled.
Before my knuckles even finished tapping the second time, his voice came from inside, deep and calm.
"Come in."
I froze for a second and then I pushed the door open slowly.
He was lying on his back on the bed, as his hands folded behind his head, his eyes were fixed on the ceiling as if he'd been thinking deeply about something.
He didn't even turn when the door creaked.
"What is it?" he asked, his voice sounding flat. "What do you want?"
