"Pick your teams of 3," Jarvis said.
"Cinister, we should be a team," Ragna suggested.
"Are you sure?" Cinister replied. "Allen is a massive treat and what about our other teammates"
"They'll figure it out. I hope" Ragna said, a bit nervously.
"Can I join too?" Alya asked, suddenly appearing behind Cinister.
Cinister jumped. "Stop doing that!" he said.
"Sorry" Alya smiled. "But can I?"
"Sure" Cinister nodded. "So this is our team Jarvis"
"Sure you guys will be group B" Jarvis said calmly "Now wait until we form the matches"
We go to the waiting room and we chill for a while.
"Should we discuss a plan?" Alya said.
"I'll use all the buff spells I can and hope I can match him. You two go and destroy their base," Cinister explained.
"Okay," Alya said confidently.
As the teams kept pouring into the waiting room, Jarvis appeared on the big screen and announced the first matchups.
"The first teams are Team A-(Allen,Choi and Scrappy) and Team B-(Cinister, Ragna and Alya)" said Jarvis "I wish both teams good luck now let's show the terrain"
Benny pushed a button, and suddenly a series of buildings of different sizes and heights appeared out of nowhere. It was like they had just materialized.
"You guys will be fighting in a city, so good luck" Jarvis said.
The two team head to the field and start setting up their base in the city.
"So you two go and try to destroy their base" Cinister said
"We will win" they said in unision.
Then Alya and Ragna went to the other side of the city. As they we walking they saw a man with red hair which meant one thing. Allen is ready.
"You must be Allen right" Alya asks
Before they get an answer both Alya and Ragna fall to their knees
"Sorry, but you two aren't my target it's your base. So excuse me" said Allen as he walked past them toward their base.
After a moment of waiting, Cinister suddenly felt a strong aura.
"We meet again, Cinister" Allen said coldly.
"Yeah, it's been a long time," Cinister said.
"[Fire Ring Double]" Cinister casted
"[Pressure]" Allen cast the same spell on Cinister that he had used on Ragna and Alya but it had no effect.
"Huh? It didn't work... [Magical Sight]" he cast, scanning the battlefield.
"Ahh, you used spells to neutralize mine and buff yourself. Smart but I'm still better."
Allen swung his sword at Cinister with incredible speed, each strike a blur. But Cinister danced through the storm, barely parrying, barely dodging until…
"Gotcha," Allen growled.
With a flash of steel, he severed Cinister's arms. Blood sprayed through the air, painting the ground red.
"[Ashen Veil]" Cinister casted.
A dark sphere erupted around him, forcing Allen to leap back. But as he landed, something caught his eye a spark inside the veil.
From within the swirling darkness, Cinister stepped forward.
In his severed hand… was the sword.
And it was sparking.
"You missed" Cinister said as he threw back the sword to him
"You arragant brat" Allen said as he prepared Aqualith and Dustbreaker.
Cinister took off running, blood trailing behind him.
Allen, still confused by the sudden turn, turned back and struck what he thought was the base of the veil shattering it.
But it was a fake.
His eyes widened. "A decoy damn it!"
Without wasting another second, Allen sprinted after Cinister, sword clenched tight, his boots pounding the blood-soaked ground.
As they climbed and jumped from building to building.
"You'll never find our base" Cinister teases Allen
"I'll beat the information out of you" Allen shouted.
He caught up to Cinister and slammed him into the ground with a thunderous crash. The stone cracked beneath them
and then it shattered.
From the ruptured floor, a maelstrom of [Aqua Blades] erupted, launching upward like a storm of gleaming death.
"Beat this" Cinister smirked through bloodied lips.
Allen's eyes flashed. "[Ignivar Shield] and [Voltbound Shield]" he roared.
Cinister squinted through the smoke. "Seriously? Four Nexuses? You're like a walking cheat code," he groaned.
"Only four? You underestimate me," Allen said as he formed balls of every Nexus and started shooting bullets at Cinister.
A lot of the shots got through Cinister's defense and pierced him.
"What's your plan now, ant?" Allen said.
Cinister barely got up. "This." He was preparing [Fire Gun], and the 10 seconds were up as he shot it at Allen.
"Really? This is pathetic," Allen said as he blocked the shot but he didn't realize that Cinister had escaped from the building.
Allen exited the building and saw Cinister standing next to their base.
"Are you dumb? You showed me your base," Allen said.
Cinister cast [Fire Gun], and Allen cast [Tidal Wave]. As both spells clashed, Tidal Wave won but Allen didn't notice that Cinister had fired another [Fire Gun] into the air, and it hit him from above.
As smoke formed, Cinister punched Allen in the face but he didn't even flinch.
"At his point I'm not even surprised" Cinister said
"Just give up" Allen said as he cut off Cinister arm
"Never. [HeatWave]" Cinister casted, and Allen started swinging his sword but this time, Cinister was finally able to dodge him.
Then, Cinister unlocked Mastery 2 of [HeatWave], which became [BlazingWave] a spell that buffs every stat, makes every Nexus get a 100% buff and makes your instincts primal.
Then Cinister was started keeping up with Allen.
Behind Cinister blood came from his back. It was Allen who impalled him in the rib cage.
"Die" Allen said calmly
"I was so close" Cinister said camly.
"You were but the only result when facing me is defeat" Allen said as he pulled the sword out of Cinister's chest.
As Allen went to the base "[Pyroclasm]" Cinister said breakinf the ground and making Allen lose his footing then Ragna came and stabbed his heart.
"Came as fast as I can" he said
Cinister who was healing "Quick stab him more"
Ragna quickly starting stabbing Allen and he fell to his knees but he disappeared.
From the shadow Allen appeared and said "You finally defeated my clone"
"No way" Ragna and Cinister said in defeat.
