In less than a breath, everyone had already arrived in the volcanic chamber beneath the Di Sha Island.
Yun Jin spoke calmly. "This teleportation array can only be used by those who have my authorization. Even if others find it, they still won't be able to use it."
She handed everyone the prepared talismans.
"This chamber requires a talisman to enter or leave. I'll pass the incantation to you now."
She recited it, and when she finished, she stayed silent for a moment.
Then she said softly. "I've told you everything I could ahead of time. Remember, everything comes second to staying alive. If you sense danger, get out immediately and return here. This chamber is absolutely safe unless a Demon God personally probes it at close range. If a Demon God comes, we can still return directly to the Vast Azure World.
Tasks matter, but our lives matter even more. Only when we're alive can we talk about the future."
Yun Jin repeated her warnings with care.
Ji Wusi could not help letting out a laugh.
She was still a child, yet she worried more than all of them old enough to have grey in their hair. But when he thought about why she became so careful, he could only sigh.
The Vast Azure small world was facing crisis after crisis. Xiao Jin had been forced to walk to this point.
"Don't worry." Wan Dao slapped her shoulder lightly. "These people are old hands. Nothing is going to happen that easily."
"What old hands." Ji Wusi shot him a look. "Don't think that because you beat me once you can talk to me like that."
Wan Dao raised a brow. "I didn't just beat you. I beat all of you."
Ji Wusi was speechless.
Wan Dao never used to act like this. How did he get infected in such a short time?
Ji Wusi snorted. "Just wait. When I temper myself in the Polar Night Demon World, I'm coming back to challenge you again."
"Then I'll look forward to it." Wan Dao answered with a small smile.
Ji Wusi rolled up his sleeves. "Come on then. Let's fight right now."
"No can do. You're too weak at the moment." Wan Dao answered seriously.
Ji Wusi immediately jumped in fury.
Everyone else could not help watching the show, and the heavy atmosphere eased at once.
Yun Jin laughed and spoke. "Since you're ready, let's go. Use the Concealment Secret Art and leave quickly. I'll stay on Di Sha Island. If anything happens, come back here."
Everyone grew solemn and nodded.
Then they held their talismans and stepped out of the volcanic chamber.
They did not stay. They concealed their auras and left Di Sha Island at speed, each heading toward a different destination.
Yun Jin watched them leave until only Wan Dao remained with her.
Wan Dao smiled gently. "They're already the greatest talents in the Vast Azure World. They just never had a stage. Once they enter the Polar Night Demon World, they're going to grow at a frightening speed."
Yun Jin nodded. She never doubted that.
"I should go too. Xiao Jin, see you in sixty years." Wan Dao stood and left Di Sha Island.
Like her, he also had a solo mission.
As for the sixty years, it was because the Sky City of the Vast Azure World would reopen around then.
Wan Dao already knew how terrifying the Sky City was. He would not let Yun Jin face it alone. When that time came, they would all have to return.
When Wan Dao left, Di Sha Island was left with only Yun Jin.
She stood quietly for a time, then turned and went to find the Di Sha Patriarch.
This time, when she returned to the Vast Azure World, they would stay about five months.
By Polar Night Demon World time, more than eight years had passed. Eight years were enough to shift many things. The island did not look very different, but details always needed to be uncovered.
At the wooden hut on the mountaintop.
Laura was polishing weapons without pause.
Suddenly a voice came from behind.
"Patriarch, you seem even busier than you were eight years ago."
Laura's heart jumped. She turned, delight shining in her eyes.
"Mai, you're finally back!"
Eight years ago, Mai had said she was going to awaken the people of the Tian Qi Demon Race, and then disappeared without a trace.
Laura lost her talisman and could not enter the volcanic space to investigate. She could only hold onto that thin thread of hope and wait. She waited so long that she almost believed Mai's arrival had been a dream. Now Mai was back.
Yun Jin nodded. "It took me a long time to awaken them."
Laura studied Yun Jin's slightly pale face but did not doubt a thing. After all, they were an ancient race. Awakening them was a task beyond imagination.
Laura glanced around quickly. "Then…"
Yun Jin answered calmly.
"After they woke, they left. I don't know where they went."
Laura exhaled in relief. "That's good, that's very good. We're just a small Di Sha tribe. We can't afford to get involved in matters like this."
This was a plan left by an ancient Demon God. The target was surely the present Eight Great Demon Gods.
The Di Sha tribe had no lives that could be risked for that.
"They left me a secret art before they went. They also told me that from that moment on, all cause and effect between them and our tribe was resolved. There will be no more entanglement."
Laura's eyes lit up.
Resolving karma was wonderful.
The Tian Qi Demon Race specialized in cause and effect. Yun Jin had taken their treasure. If that karma was not resolved, their entire tribe would have been destroyed in an instant. Worse, the destruction would have layered cause upon cause until no trace of intentional harm could be seen.
The Primordial Force of Cause and Effect was terrifying.
"Mai, those treasures, and the scriptures they gave us." Laura's expression was full of expectation.
Yun Jin spoke slowly. "I told you before, only I can open those treasures."
Laura's expression froze. So Mai's earlier warning about disaster was nothing but an excuse. She had already grown greedy and wanted to take everything for herself.
Yun Jin smiled. "These treasures were gained at the cost of my life. Who uses them and how they are used is naturally up to me, don't you think? And that scripture I read, it's a peerless technique. If someone can master it, even a low ranking demon can unleash the power of a higher one for a short time."
Laura's pupils contracted.
