"Where is your father?" Rue asked Ian, her eyes hinting that she would never change, that her animosity had given her the excuse to be a terrible person.
Maybe this evilness was always inside her, because even after getting confirmation that I was not the reason her sister died, she just continued to hold grudges against me.
Probably because she thought she had nothing else to do, nothing left to do.
So she wanted to spend the rest of her life just taking revenge, just giving herself mission after mission, challenges to keep herself going.
"Crushed. They are both dead," I whispered, because I could tell that Ian could not say those words.
The look on Rue's face proved that she was realizing that it was becoming real.
Then her fingers tightened around the trigger as she held her posture up.
"And I'm guessing you killed them, didn't you? I mean, definitely Zian must have killed your father, so you killed Zian," Rue commented, rolling her eyes at Ian.
