Chapter 51 - CH. 51 : International Guild Conference Representative

'Man, can he not do everything I do and take away my thunder all the time?'

Min-Jae thought this while watching the news. Hunter Sung Jin-Woo had cleared an S-Rank gate in Thailand—and just like Japan, it was a dungeon break.

Because Min-Jae had taken care of the Japan Tokyo S-Rank Dungeon Break, the Thailand Hunter Association had asked for help handling theirs, which Sung Jin-Woo accepted.

According to the news details, the Thailand Dungeon Break and the Japan Dungeon Break that Min-Jae had contained were equal in terms of danger—at least, that's what all the news channels and analysts were saying.

It was like the universe kept choosing to make Jin-Woo stronger, just like he did canonically, even when Cha Min-Jae was there to potentially take care of things and change the canon events completely.

Min-Jae sighed. 'Guess some things are just inevitable.'

**At Hunters Guild Headquarters**

"The International Guild Conference is soon," Choi Jong-In said, adjusting his glasses. "This time, unlike previously, the Hunter Bureau of the USA invited two guilds from Korea instead of one."

"Two? As I remember, it was the Hunters Guild last time, right?" Min-Jae asked.

"Yes, that was the case. But this year, it's both the Hunters Guild and Ahjin Guild—Hunter Sung Jin-Woo's guild."

"I see. He sure made a name for himself after the Thailand raid."

"Indeed. This is the first time a guild with just three official members—and only two active members—has been invited to such a global event. Though I wouldn't doubt that Hunter Sung Jin-Woo alone is capable of doing things that many big guilds can't."

"So why did you call me? To inform me of this?"

"No. It was to say that there will be one representative from each guild attending the main conference. So..."

"It'll be you and Nuna, right? Guild Master and Vice Guild Master?"

"No. I was thinking something else." Choi Jong-In leaned forward slightly. "I was thinking, why not you and Vice Guild Master Cha Hae-In attend the conference? You joining as the representative of our guild."

Min-Jae paused. "Me?"

"Yes. You've become the face of the guild, whether you like it or not. After Japan, your name is known globally. It makes sense for you to attend."

"I don't know. Shouldn't the Guild Master be the one—"

"Don't be humble," Choi Jong-In interrupted with a slight smile. "You've earned this. And besides, it's a good opportunity for you to make connections internationally."

Min-Jae leaned back in his chair, thinking for a moment. Then he nodded. "Okay. Then I'll join. Obviously."

"Good." Choi Jong-In smiled. "I'll send you the details. The conference is in two weeks. Be prepared."

"Got it."

Min-Jae stood up and headed for the door.

**Parking Lot of Hunters Guild Headquarters**

Min-Jae walked out of the building and made his way to the parking lot. As he approached his car, he noticed someone already standing there.

Han Semi.

She was leaning against the side of his car, arms crossed, looking at her phone. When she heard his footsteps, she looked up.

"You're late," she said.

Min-Jae raised an eyebrow. "Late? I didn't know we had a scheduled meeting here."

She pushed off the car and walked toward him. "Well, we do now. Come on, let's go."

"Go where?"

"Just get in the car."

Min-Jae unlocked the car and slid into the driver's seat. Han Semi got in the passenger side, buckling her seatbelt.

"So where are we going?" Min-Jae asked as he started the engine.

"You'll see."

He glanced at her, then pulled out of the parking lot. They drove in comfortable silence for a few minutes before Min-Jae spoke up.

"By the way, the International Guild Conference is coming up. I'll be attending as a representative of the guild."

"Oh? That's a big deal."

"Yeah. It's in the US. Two weeks from now."

"Are you nervous?"

"Not really. Just... curious. I've never been to one of these things before."

"You'll do fine. You always do."

Min-Jae smirked slightly. "Thanks for the vote of confidence."

"Don't mention it."

They drove through the city, the afternoon sunlight filtering through the windows. Eventually, Han Semi directed him to a quieter part of town—a small park near the river.

"Here?" Min-Jae asked as he parked.

"Yeah. Come on."

They got out of the car and walked along the riverbank. The area was peaceful, with only a few people around—couples walking, joggers passing by, someone feeding birds.

"This is nice," Min-Jae said.

"I thought you might like it. Figured you needed a break after everything."

"You're not wrong."

They walked in silence for a bit, the sound of the water flowing beside them.

"So," Han Semi said after a while, "what's it like being the most famous hunter in the world right now?"

Min-Jae let out a short laugh. "Annoying, mostly."

"Really?"

"Yeah. Everyone wants something. Interviews, sponsorships, guild offers. It's exhausting."

"Sounds like it."

They continued walking, the conversation flowing naturally between them as the afternoon sun began to set.
