Chapter 203 - Chapter 205: The Terror Unleashed

"Oh!" Hermione gasped in shock, covering her mouth with obvious horror.

"Bloody hell, she was watching you bathe?" Ron looked at Dudley with a mixture of horror and fascination.

"Didn't Hermione say she lives in the toilet? She probably floated to the prefect's bathroom through the plumbing," Dudley said somewhat helplessly.

"How terrifying," Harry couldn't help but shudder at the thought.

Just thinking about a female ghost secretly watching while he bathed made Harry feel absolutely awful.

"After that incident, I cast protective spells around me when bathing to prevent ghosts from sneaking in," Dudley said with obvious discomfort.

He didn't know whether Moaning Myrtle had done it intentionally or not, but after that time, Dudley had employed some protective measures.

At the funeral, ghosts came and went in endless streams.

Dudley and the others tried to avoid areas where ghosts congregated, wanting to find an unoccupied corner to wait.

A ghost rapidly floated past them, and Harry couldn't dodge in time, the spirit passing directly through his body.

Harry's face immediately became very pale, and he stood in place trembling.

"What did it feel like?" Ron asked with concern.

"Like someone poured a bucket of ice-cold water over me from head to toe," Harry said, shivering uncontrollably.

"Let's leave as soon as Nick finishes his speech."

This really wasn't a place for the living.

Not far in front of them, thick green mouldy cheese emitted a strong putrid smell, making them wish they could seal off their sense of smell entirely.

Finally, they endured until Nick finished his speech. Dudley and the others quickly went up, preparing to greet him and then leave.

Suddenly, at that moment.

"Tear you apart... kill you... murder..."

Harry froze in place.

That sinister, terrifying voice appeared again.

Dudley also immediately sensed changes in the castle. That dangerous aura made his hair stand on end with alarm.

This also meant that this time was different from the previous two times. That danger was very close to them!

"Let's go quickly. I really don't want to stay here anymore," Ron urged impatiently, seeing Harry and Dudley both stop simultaneously.

"Perhaps if we go back now, we can still catch the Halloween feast," Hermione also said hopefully.

She was already missing the bright lights of the Great Hall and the abundant edible delicacies.

"Dudley, that voice!!" After Harry came to his senses, he immediately looked at Dudley with urgent alarm.

"The danger is very close to us!" Dudley confirmed grimly.

"Damn it!" Dudley cursed under his breath. Without time to think, he directly produced the Solar Ring and put it on his hand.

"Solar Halo!" Dudley activated the ring's power.

Hum!

The Solar Halo covered a twenty-meter radius around Dudley. Harry, Ron, and Hermione within this area immediately felt a warm aura surge into their bodies. They felt filled with courage, and the eerie coldness from being surrounded by ghosts instantly dissipated. At this moment, they felt as if they were standing in the noon sunlight of midsummer.

"Ahhhh..." "What's happening..." "So hot!" Panicked screams came from all directions.

The ghosts, enveloped by the Solar Halo's aura, felt like ice and snow meeting midsummer sunlight, experiencing scorching heat.

This aura made them instinctively terrified, and they quickly fled in all directions.

Ghosts farther from Dudley hadn't been affected by the Solar Halo yet, but they also sensed the air seemed filled with the scent of sunlight, making them instinctively uncomfortable.

All the ghosts panicked at this moment.

No one cared about the deathday anymore as they began racing in all directions, charging directly into walls and disappearing.

"What's happening?" Ron and Hermione were completely confused, not knowing what was occurring.

"Go, stay close to me!" Dudley commanded the three.

Then he aimed for the door and ran in that direction.

Along the way, the Solar Halo's range also expanded, and some ghosts who hadn't reacted yet were also burnt by the scorching aura, screaming as they scattered and fled.

"The danger appeared again?" Hermione finally realised what was happening and quickly asked.

"Yes, I heard that voice!" Harry confirmed.

"What did it say? Any changes from last time?" Dudley asked while quickly locating the position from which the dangerous aura emanated.

"So hungry... for so long..." "Kill... it's time..." "Tear apart... tear you apart... kill you..."

Harry repeated the voice he heard.

These sounds were all fragmented, without complete sentences, and kept repeating without much useful information.

"Just these few phrases? Why doesn't it sound like a person speaking?" Dudley frowned with concern.

This kind of meaningless repetition was more like animal instinct.

However, Dudley didn't have much time to think about this problem now. He had clearly sensed that the monster was moving and was somewhere not far from him.

"Are we going to deal with that danger?" Ron asked.

For some reason, he felt that encountering danger this time, he wasn't afraid but rather eager to try, filled with fighting spirit and courage.

"First let's try to determine what that thing actually is," Dudley said practically.

Only by knowing where the danger came from could they respond calmly; otherwise, they might very well be caught off guard.

This was the most important lesson Dudley had learnt in that otherworldly realm.

"Look over there!" Suddenly, Harry exclaimed, pointing toward a nearby window.

Dudley and the others looked over and immediately saw a frozen milky white figure floating in mid-air, emitting a faint glow.

It was a ghost, but now it had solidified, or rather, been petrified.

"A ghost has been petrified!" Dudley looked at this scene in complete amazement.

That kind of dark magic was so powerful that even ghosts couldn't resist it and were directly petrified.

"Over there, there are more over there..." In the nearby corridor, several more milky white ghosts were floating there, also already petrified.

The situation seemed somewhat out of control.

"Damn it!" Dudley's expression was grim.

After pondering for a moment, he drew his wand and pointed it at his throat.

"Sonorus!" he cast the amplification charm.

"Attention all Hogwarts teachers and students, I am Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Interrogator Dudley Dursley. Unknown danger is rampaging through the castle. Please have all professors protect the students, and everyone should not wander the corridors. Also, please remember... do not look at glowing objects, especially yellow light!"

Dudley's voice echoed throughout all of Hogwarts.

The situation was becoming dangerous. Only by doing this could he minimise the potential casualties.
