Chapter 212 - Chapter 214: Eyes in the Crowd

"Mm," Dudley nodded.

They indeed didn't need to steal from Snape's private storage room. Although these things were precious, they weren't unavailable in the outside world. As long as one had money, it was still quite easy to get some.

"Leave this matter to me. I have a way to get the materials," Dudley assured them.

Harry asked somewhat curiously, "Where do you plan to get these from? These are very precious materials. Ordinary potion shops might not even have them."

"You don't need to worry about that. I have my own channels," Dudley smiled mysteriously.

Harry's expression shifted as he guessed something.

Previously, Dudley had a good relationship with Kingsley. If he asked this Auror for help, it might be possible to get those things.

That evening, Dudley found an opportunity to write the materials he needed on the parchment Borgin and Burkes had given him, burnt it, and waited quietly.

These materials might stump ordinary dealers, but Borgin and Burkes, as the most notorious shop in Knockturn Alley, would have no trouble procuring anything for the right price.

Dudley was quite confident in Borgin and Burkes' methods.

Previously, whenever Borgin and Burkes received any good items, they would tell Dudley to see if he needed them.

However, over this long period, no new magical artefacts had appeared, so Dudley hadn't purchased any more dark magical items.

Soon, a burning flame appeared before Dudley, transforming into a piece of parchment.

"Very well, Mr. Dursley. I will prepare them as soon as possible and deliver them to Hogwarts."

Borgin and Burkes' reply was very simple.

'Hogwarts seems to inspect packages. Does Borgin and Burkes have a way to bypass the inspection?' Dudley thought to himself.

Since Borgin and Burkes had said so, there probably wasn't a problem. Dudley didn't investigate further.

The weekend arrived.

Today was the first Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Slytherin.

It was also Harry's first time appearing on the field as Gryffindor's Seeker. Many people were looking forward to this great battle.

Early in the morning, Harry appeared very nervous.

After all, it was his first time participating in an official Quidditch match, and against their old rivals Slytherin, no less. Harry felt quite a lot of pressure.

Additionally, this year's Slytherin team had all switched to the fastest brooms, Nimbus 2001s, which raised Slytherin's strength to another level.

Everyone felt like they were facing a great enemy. Gryffindor's Quidditch captain Wood had nearly been driven crazy recently.

The only consolation was that their team's Seeker Harry was also riding a Nimbus 2001, which could compensate for some of the gap at the Seeker position. But overall, Slytherin still had the greater advantage.

Moreover, since this was Harry's first time playing, it was hard to say how he would perform.

They had seen many people who showed great talent during training but couldn't perform in actual matches.

Whether Harry could competently serve as Gryffindor's Seeker would depend on this battle.

"Harry, you can definitely do it. Believe in yourself," Dudley patted Harry's shoulder, soothing his anxious emotions.

"Thank you," Harry replied with gratitude.

"The weather is a bit muggy today. I wonder if it will rain," Ron observed.

"I hope not, or it would greatly interfere with the match, especially since this is Harry's first time playing," Hermione said with some worry.

Harry looked up at the overcast sky and remained silent.

As eleven o'clock approached, all the teachers and students began heading toward the Quidditch pitch.

Although the weather wasn't good today, it still couldn't dampen everyone's enthusiasm.

For many Hogwarts students, Quidditch matches were the most exciting and spectacular events at school. Anyone with even a slight interest in Quidditch wouldn't miss this battle between Slytherin and Gryffindor.

More importantly, this was also the first match for the famous Boy Who Lived, Harry Potter, representing Gryffindor.

Many people, whether they liked Harry or disliked him, would pay attention to this match.

Harry said goodbye to Dudley and the others at the changing room door.

"This Quidditch match must beat Slytherin until they're rolling on the ground; let that Malfoy fellow know that buying your way onto the Quidditch team is useless. Only strength is what matters most," Ron said indignantly.

Ever since they learnt that Malfoy had bought Nimbus 2001s for the entire Slytherin team and become Slytherin's Seeker, they had looked down on him.

But looking down on him was one thing. Watching that lightning-fast flying speed, not being envious and jealous would be fake.

But this was also unavoidable. No one in Gryffindor had a father wealthy enough to buy so many of the world's fastest flying brooms for them at once.

They could only hope that Harry could quickly catch the Golden Snitch and end the match without letting Slytherin score too many points during that time.

"Harry's technique is fine. As long as he performs normally, beating Malfoy will be easy," Dudley commented confidently.

He had previously watched Harry and Malfoy fly. Harry was obviously more talented than Malfoy. With the same brooms, Malfoy would have difficulty defeating Harry.

The group expressed their opinions while waiting for the match to begin.

As both teams entered the field, enthusiastic cheers and applause rang out from the stands. Compared to Slytherin, there were obviously more people cheering for Gryffindor.

This was mainly because Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff students preferred to see Slytherin lose.

Dudley sat in the stands, his emotions also ignited by the enthusiastic atmosphere around him, loudly cheering for the Gryffindor team.

But in such circumstances, Dudley's brow suddenly furrowed.

'There's been an ominous tension in the air today. I can sense something major approaching,' Dudley reflected grimly.

He looked around but didn't notice anything unusual.

'Could the Chamber have been opened again?' Dudley's expression became grim.

He turned back to look toward the castle. At this time, there should be almost no one left in the castle.

After carefully sensing the situation in the castle, Dudley didn't discover any abnormalities.

As an Interrogator, he could clearly feel that everything there was normal.

"Then what's causing this unease?" Dudley frowned.

The match had already begun, but at this point Dudley no longer had much attention to spare for the game.

Suddenly, Dudley's expression sharpened. He had a distinct feeling of being spied upon.

Someone was secretly watching him.

And this person seemed to have a familiar aura.

Following his spiritual intuition's guidance, Dudley looked toward the opposite stands.

That was Slytherin's section. In the sea of dark green, Dudley's gaze captured a spot of different green.

What he saw were massive eyes—unnaturally large, like tennis balls—fixed directly on him.
