The Human Emperor did not hesitate.
The moment he lunged forward, his Nascent Soul, which had retreated when he invoked his domain, manifested again behind him, and the sky seemed to fill with blades.

The swords struck in unison, turning the space between him and the mysterious man into a storm of invisible cuts.
Almost at the same instant, behind the Elf Queen, light condensed.
She had decided to join the attack as well. She had healed the Beast Emperor as much as she could, and now it was his turn to recover the rest, so she turned her attention from the dragon to the Human Emperor.
