Anna awoke groggily to beeping hospital equipment.
Her senses returned, and Stefan's face swam into view.
"W-what happened?" asked Anna, her throat dry.
"You came home, acting strange, and then you passed out. I rushed you here to a hospital, and they pumped a nasty cocktail of methamphetamines and hormone blocking drugs out of your system. I want an explanation. Now," said Stefan, his voice low and hard.
Anna realized she was in psychiatric restraints, and turned her face away from him.
"Anna. I'm not angry with you. I just want to know where you got the drugs," said Stefan.
"I'm not Anna. I'm Blue Kitaro, pronouns they, them," said Anna resolutely, as the memory of the last few hours came rushing back:
She had come home from school, and had decided to come out properly to Stefan and Maria about her new identity.
Stefan had refused to acknowledge it, and had grounded her, pending a transfer to St. Ignatius Academy, as Maria tried to calm him down.
