The next morning at 7 AM, Liebe was sleeping in his room at the Vale Estate. Licht entered and whispered, "Liebe, yo, Liebe, you awake?"
As Liebe started to wake up, he saw Licht directly in his face and screamed.
Licht said, "What? It's just me."
Liebe said, "Why are you in my face?"
Licht said, "Not so funny, huh, when it's being done to you?"
Liebe said, "I wake up after 11 AM, and you are here at 7. I barely got any sleep last night."
Licht said, "Why?"
Liebe said, "I was up till 5 AM working on something in floor 2 hall."
Licht said, "What's in floor 2 hall, anyway?"
Liebe said, "Do you actually want to know, or did you learn nothing yesterday?"
Licht said, "I did, I did. It's just—I want to know."
Liebe said, "My sex doll collection."
Licht said, "OK."
Liebe said, "OK, I actually wanted to show you my collection."
Licht said, "No thanks. I'm good."
Liebe said, "OK. So why are you here this early?"
Licht said, "Wake up. Today is supposed to be our first day of class. So get up."
Liebe said, "Fine. Wait a minute."
As Liebe woke up like a corpse and got his morning coffee from Mai, then Liebe said, "OK, now what is it?"
Licht said, "Since today is our first day of class after everything—all the crazy, etc., etc.—thought might as well go together, am I right?"
Liebe said, "Did you seriously wake me up for this?"
Licht said, "Yeah. And here is your uniform."
Liebe said, "Thanks."
As he got ready by 7:30:
Licht said, "Let's go."
Liebe said, "Fine. Dark Magic: Dark Castling!" As they teleported to HQ.
Licht said, "Hey, why did you teleport us?"
Liebe said, "I mean, you did say 'let's go.'"
Licht said, "I meant like fly, you know. I wanted to have some dude time, just talking about dumb stuff like always."
Liebe said, "Sorry, I didn't realize that. Let's do it tomorrow."
Licht said, "Sure."
Gelda said, "All aboard the Gelda School Bus! Please be sure to keep your brains in your body during the transport."
Elizabeth said, "Mom, that's embarrassing."
Liebe said, "Gelda's portals are too fast to notice that."
Gelda said, "I just wanted your return to academic life a bit more fun, since, you know, you all have been through a lot."
Liebe said, "Thank you. I appreciate that."
As they were teleported to their dorms:
Licht said, "Well, let's get some breakfast."
As they opened the door:
Licht screamed, "Oh god, we have been robbed!"
Liebe said, "What?"
Licht said, "We have been robbed!"
Liebe said, "How?"
Licht said, "What do you mean, how? All our stuff is gone. All our kitchen gadgets, our 3D food printer that could make any simple food item from ingredients, our drinks dispenser, our gumball machine. And not to mention, worst of them all—my child, my Butterer. That butters your toast in the morning while also buttering you in the process with fresh new AI compliments every morning that is sure to make your day buttery better."
As Liebe thought, Oh, oh yeah. Alysa was our nutritionist. She did all that. Even buttered Licht's toast. Huh, these must be the new memories that replaced her. Must be these. It's sad we know it's stolen, but we don't know why.
Liebe said, "It's alright. We will just buy new ones."
Licht said, "Really?"
Liebe said, "Yeah."
Isurugi said, "Ones that even make wolf demi-human treats?"
Liebe said, "Yeah."
Mavia said, "Ones that make foods with extra protein?"
Liebe said, "Probably."
Fate said, "Ones with higher electric content?"
Liebe said, "Possible."
Elizabeth and Lichee said, "Ones that make extra sugary, chocolaty ice cream with chocolate chips?"
Liebe said, "Oh hell no. I don't have the time to deal with you two when you are high on sugar."
Lichee said, "Come on!"
Elizabeth said, "Pretty please, brother?"
Liebe said, "Fine. But just ones that make chocolate chip ice cream or mint chocolate chip ice cream. No extra sugar."
Elizabeth said, "Fine."
Lichee said, "I guess that's OK."
As they went to the cafeteria for breakfast, later they went to classes. Yet no matter what, Liebe couldn't pay attention. That day, Lilith's history class wasn't in their schedule. And even during Obsidian's class, Liebe was always just looking out the window.
That night, Liebe and Licht again slept in their dorm rooms together.
Later in the morning, Licht was the first one to wake up at 10:30. As this was the first time he had a good night's sleep in weeks, he screamed, "Alysa, why didn't you wake me up?" As he didn't know what he was saying. He ignored his own words and, still sleepy, went to the lobby of their dorms and unintentionally said, "Alysa, where is my morning tea?" Now he was confused at what he was saying.
He later told Liebe, and Liebe just said he was being paranoid or dreaming awake.
