Chapter 581 - KWM Chapter 578 Chaos

Under the sweeping Mental Storm, the mental barriers of the surrounding soldiers and low-to-mid-sequence Beyonders were quickly destroyed, leaving them completely unable to resist the erosion and infection of the Mental Plague.

The atmosphere on the Dock District instantly tensed. The soldiers standing on the roofs of surrounding buildings, carrying Steam backpacks and holding thick-barreled rifles, became agitated and restless. Their Steam rifles trembled slightly, as if they would fire bullets the next second.

By the carriage with its canopy removed, the four "Chariots" in black full plate armor began to breathe more and more rapidly. Amidst their gasping, one of the black-armored Chariots was the first to succumb to the pressure, running towards the sea where ships were moored.

With his movement, the other three black-armored Chariots could no longer hold on. Their psychological defenses completely collapsed, plunging them into despair and madness. They tore at their armor while rushing towards the sea.

The carriages that had been quietly staying in place or steadily moving along the road also went mad, scurrying around the Dock District.

Under the influence of the Mental Plague, some of the surrounding garrisoned soldiers also dropped their weapons and followed them, leaping into the cold seawater.

On the roofs of the surrounding buildings, the soldiers holding Steam rifles could no longer withstand the pressure and pulled their triggers. The Steam rifles made banging sounds, firing out Yellow Light bullets.

The entire Dock District instantly fell into chaos.

Near the Dock District, a Steel Chariot with a chimney, cannon, and machine gun suddenly changed direction, and a deep, authoritative voice emanated from within without hindrance:

"No running allowed here!"

"No shooting allowed here!"

As the words fell, the chaotic scene around them seemed to have been forcibly paused. The expressions of the surrounding soldiers and horses were distorted and frantic, but they seemed to be weighed down by something heavy, making it difficult to move their steps. The bullets that had been cutting through the air also stopped, leaving only a cacophony of roars across the entire Dock District.

The next second, a figure wearing a white robe inlaid with gold threads, with light yellow, slightly curly hair, noticeably sunken eye sockets, and a gaunt, skeletal face, materialized from mid-air.

It was Mahmosi, the "Silent One," a descendant of the Rose School of Thought's Pharaoh. His gaze swept towards the Steel Chariot that had just spoken, his brown eyes filled with uncontrollable malice and madness, giving off an eerie and terrifying sensation.

Without the slightest hesitation, he raised his right hand and pulled at his mouth. The golden nails, covered in intricate patterns and sealing his entire mouth, simultaneously flew off, no longer obstructing his oral cavity.

Mahmosi then opened his mouth, and a silent shriek emanated from him, carrying an eerie and terrifying sensation.

The massive Steel Chariot he targeted immediately distorted as if melting. In the blink of an eye, it transformed from a mechanical construct into a goat with dull eyes and curly fur!

Mahmosi did not continue his attack. His gaze quickly swept around, and his figure faded and disappeared.

His goal was merely to retrieve the stolen Pharaoh's remains and he did not care who the "Spectator" demigod hidden in the shadows was. In his estimation, a cursed mummy was not worth a "Spectator" demigod taking such a risk. The other party must have been after one or more mystical items here. Given that their goals did not conflict, a temporary collaboration was a win-win choice.

On the other side of the Dock District, the securely bound Steel cables on the golden coffin, which had not yet been lowered from the pulley device, suddenly began to writhe on their own, unfastening the coffin and letting it drop vertically.

Beneath the coffin, the void was dark and fluctuating, and a semi-transparent, hideous giant mouth, over ten meters long, emerged.

The giant mouth suddenly opened and inhaled, creating a terrifying gale, attempting to swallow the entire coffin.

Suddenly, a brilliant yellow light illuminated the surroundings, like a grand ocean of light, engulfing everything around it.

In the Spirit World Depths, Leyton narrowed his eyes. The mechanical glove on his right hand made a gnashing sound:

"Ah! My eyes..."

"I hate the 'Sun'!"

The light lasted for about a second before dissipating into nothingness. Along with it, the Spirit World creature with the giant mouth also vanished, leaving only the traces of evaporated liquid on the ground.

The goat, which had been a Steel Chariot, seemed to explode internally, its flesh and internal organs at the belly splattering everywhere.

On the ground not far away, a lump of flesh embedded with a white glove and a golden mask rolled onto the ground.

A soft light burst from within the lump of flesh, dispelling all the chaos and eerie aura.

Without the suppression of the eerie curse, the lump of flesh began to writhe spontaneously, reassembling itself into a human form, returning to its original appearance.

Clang!

The golden coffin containing Tutanssess II directly overturned and crashed onto the ground. The top lid fell off, scattering the gold, jewels, and golden vessels containing shriveled organs that were buried inside.

A corpse, entirely wrapped in yellowish-brown linen strips, also rolled out. The corpse was extremely emaciated, its surface stained with dark red, oily liquid, and its face wore a gold-based, colorful patterned mask, with two exceptionally pure black gems embedded in its eye sockets.

This was precisely the mummy made during Tutanssess II's time. As soon as it appeared, the gas streetlights around it seemed to dim slightly.

In the "eyeballs" of the mummy, where the two black gems were embedded, each reflected the figure of a middle-aged man wearing a white robe inlaid with gold threads, with light yellow, slightly curly hair, noticeably sunken eye sockets, and a gaunt, skeletal face.

Mahmosi's figure quickly became clear, and the long-dead Tutanssess II mummy suddenly moved.

The black-haired, golden-eyed man with a golden mask, who had just recovered from his flesh lump state, spoke with authority:

"Wraith possession is forbidden here."

As the words fell, Mahmosi's figure gradually floated above the Tutanssess II mummy, as if being forcibly squeezed out of the void by immense pressure.

He glared angrily at the black-haired, golden-eyed middle-aged man, then took out a rag doll that seemed to be made of old cloth.

The rag doll was stained with obvious dirt and bloodstains, and its eyes had been gouged out, leaving two empty sockets.

Mahmosi directed its empty eye sockets towards the Loen Military demigod wearing the golden mask, and its face quickly transformed to resemble the demigod.

The ring on the Loen Military demigod's right hand burst forth with a crystal-like light, quickly enveloping his body and flashing him behind Mahmosi.

In the Spirit World Depths, Leyton looked at the ring on the Loen Military demigod's right hand and sighed softly:

"Apprentices are truly pitiful; their relics are everywhere."

As he spoke, he threw down a white doll-like chess piece. The chess piece passed through the Spirit World and landed in reality, instantly disappearing as if melting.

The entire Dock District slowed down and became quiet, as if the flow of time had been greatly stretched, causing the current moment to become extremely slow.

Leyton's gaze penetrated the Spirit World, taking in the entire Pritz Harbor, scanning all the presences, both obvious and hidden.

Then, he flipped his right hand twice as if performing magic, took out a pre-prepared deck of playing cards, and threw them out of the Spirit World.

The playing cards scattered in mid-air, quickly expanding and twisting. In the blink of an eye, they transformed into Poker Soldiers, each about two meters tall, with limbs, holding spears or straight swords.

The Poker Soldiers quickly ran through the Dock District, destroying the seals that the Loen Military had placed on the mystical items one by one.

Under the dim streetlights, a thick, impenetrable tide of darkness surged forth, carrying a calm, deathly aura and layers of hoarse whispers, pulling the surrounding creatures into dreams one by one.

In the deep darkness, streaks of crimson moonlight rose, gradually forming hideous facial features.

Rotten sludge appeared on the ground, and crimson sparks occasionally flew up in the air, accompanied by a pungent smell of sulfur.

In another direction, the streetlights suddenly blazed, like midday sun, and the surrounding air quickly became dry and scorching.

Under the negative effects of the surrounding mystical items, the paper soldiers either fell to the ground, or caught fire from within and burned themselves, or slowly rotted away.

Leyton watched the situation outside while raising his hand to condense a dark green seed, which he threw at his feet.

The seed rooted and grew directly in the Spirit World. In just a moment, it grew into a thick gourd vine, bearing seven gourds of different colors.

Leyton picked the seventh gourd, which was purple. The gourd vine and the remaining six gourds instantly withered and disappeared.

On the Dock District, a tide of pure Yellow Light surged from all directions, converging into an ocean of light.

The majestic aura of the Sun seemed to materialize, rapidly permeating and purifying everything around it, as if to forcefully suppress all the out-of-control mystical items with absolute power.

The next moment, an invisible suction force came from above, pulling this ocean of light and drawing it into a purple gourd.

In mid-air, Leyton, whose figure had reappeared, scanned the ground. Mahmosi and the man wearing the golden mask appeared on the other side of the Dock District, and a lady in a black evening gown, also wearing a golden mask, stood beside the golden coffin.

His gaze fell on the crown woven from thorns on the lady's head, and finally looked at the Tutanssess II mummy lying on the ground, extending his left hand half-open, while chanting in a low voice:

"Exile!"

An invisible force erupted, sweeping the mummy on the ground along with its burial items into the void, throwing them to an unknown destination.

Having done all this, a hazy starlight instantly covered Leyton's body, flashing him to the battle site of Mahmosi and the black-haired, golden-eyed military demigod.

Crimson moonlight instantly surged out, condensing opposite him into a hooded figure wearing a black robe embroidered with crimson patterns.
