Chapter 673 - KWM Chapter 669: The Paper Angel's Trick

In Emlyn's eyes, figures with crimson eyes surrounded him, as if he were being judged by countless high-ranking figures from the Sanguine, making him instinctively not want to resist.

In front of Emlyn and Klein, Leyton's figure was slightly ethereal, as if he didn't exist at all. He calmly watched Klein and Emlyn, who were lost in thought, and murmured in a low voice:

"Still falling into judgment? I've already given a hint, they should be able to escape."

As he spoke, his gaze suddenly deepened, looking behind Klein and Emlyn. In the Eyes of Mystery Prying's vision, there was an asymmetrical and uncoordinated balance scale behind each of them, giving a sense of disorder, as if facing the shadow of order directly.

As time passed, the balance scales behind them became clearer and more closely connected to them, as if they had become a part of their bodies.

"To bear a charge is to be unable to escape judgment; yet, the definition of this charge is remarkably broad."

After muttering to himself, the ethereal feeling on Leyton disappeared, and a crisp snapping sound echoed, exceptionally clear on the quiet street.

Thick, green vines hung down from mid-air, covering the surrounding area like a downpour.

In the illusion, Klein, who had been pushed onto the gallows, suddenly had his gaze clear. Some details he had previously overlooked resurfaced in his mind:

"This city has extremely strict laws, but as long as we don't interact with it, we won't be greatly affected."

"Not interacting with the surroundings doesn't mean not speaking or communicating, but recognizing the true and the false. As long as one firmly denies unreasonable things, those denied things will not exist."

As he mumbled to himself, Klein found that the tall figures around him were no longer tall, and most of their oppressive aura had disappeared.

But why am I still on the gallows? Is my will not firm enough?

While pondering, he directly chanted the honorific name of The Fool:

"The Fool who doesn't belong to this era; the Mysterious Ruler above the Gray Fog; the King of Yellow and Black Who Holds Good Luck."

Layers of illusory prayers echoed in his ears, and gray-white mist continuously surged in his vision. Relying on his keen spiritual perception, he vaguely felt something invisible around him shrink back slightly, seeming to be somewhat afraid of the gray-white mist.

At the same time, the gallows and the figures judging and executing him disappeared from his field of vision. The surroundings became an empty street, with no extra figures except for the three of them.

"So, from the beginning, we were affected by the Specter Empire?"

He muttered to himself, his gaze lingering on Leyton and Emlyn for a moment, finding that they were both in a state of absentmindedness. Leyton seemed to be confronting someone, and Emlyn was on the verge of panic and collapse.

Withdrawing his gaze, Klein attempted to walk four steps backward into the Gray Fog. Unexpectedly, he succeeded directly.

He picked up the Red Priest card from the table and reached out to summon three cut-out paper figures from a pile of sundries. He leveraged the power of the Gray Fog and threw them towards the three deep-red stars representing Moon, Mr. Tower, and The World, respectively.

In the Specter Empire, Leyton looked at the chaotic and distorted golden water flowing around him, the constantly evolving large and small whirlpools, and the invisible tentacles extending from them. He frowned and whispered:

"This is really troublesome. The power I can use is basically at the Sequence 1 level, but the actual power limit of this Specter Empire is also at this level, forming a tug-of-war with me. Neither in terms of power nor in terms of status can one overcome the other."

As he spoke, he condensed complex and illusory symbols within his eyes, and one star after another emerged around him, densely packed and dazzling, scattering rays of brilliance.

The starlight continuously interwoven, dissolving the invisible tentacles extending from the golden whirlpools, restoring them to their purest knowledge.

Under his influence, this knowledge came alive, rapidly destroying the surrounding order by relying on its aura and power similar to the Specter Empire.

The large and small golden whirlpools around became even more chaotic, like an abstract oil painting with arbitrarily stirred and splashed paint.

Seemingly angered by Leyton's actions, pale golden chains extended from the chaotic and distorted golden water, sweeping towards Leyton from all directions.

These pale golden chains were slightly ethereal but extremely solid. Upon closer inspection, these chains had many interwoven patterns, like engraved legal provisions.

They were like the concretization of order and rules, difficult to stop or influence, rapidly correcting all disharmonious places in the surrounding space that violated laws and rules.

The next second, gray-white mist billowed out of thin air above, and a tall angel with twelve pairs of flaming wings and full body armor stained with blood and rust flew out from it.

This was the paper figure angel Klein had thrown from the Gray Fog; it had materialized in the Specter Empire!

As soon as this paper figure angel appeared, its aura belonging to the Red Priest and Sefirah Castle was captured, and it was regarded as an intruder by the Specter Empire. Pale golden chains of order rapidly shot upwards, attempting to intercept and destroy the paper figure angel.

Above the Gray Fog, Klein, who had originally planned to leave directly, suddenly stopped. Through the connection of the paper figure angel, he also saw what was happening around Leyton.

How is that possible? The paper figure angel was actually stopped! It's not a tangible entity; it's essentially just a blessing I bestowed, isn't it? Logically, such a blessing should directly appear on the corresponding person, so how could it materialize?

As various thoughts floated, Klein reached out and summoned the sea god scepter, directly conjuring a thunderstorm around them.

To his surprise, there was no trace of the expected thunderstorm, as if it had evaporated into thin air. However, his own consumption of spirituality and intuition both told him that the thunderstorm created by the sea god scepter had already struck.

"Has the concept of this space been distorted? Or are our bodies in the Specter Empire in a superimposed state of countless possibilities?"

As he mumbled to himself, Klein put down the sea god scepter in his hand and turned over The Fool card, which was face down on the table. This Card of Blasphemy was the most suitable for him and the power within the Gray Fog, capable of creating more powerful paper figure angels.

Several roughly cut paper figures were thrown out by him, expanding in mid-air to become mysterious angels with twelve pairs of gray-white wings and black robes, their faces obscured.

Under his manipulation, these paper figure angels directly merged into the deep-red stars twinkling above the boundless Gray Fog.

Inside the Specter Empire, the golden chains formed by order and rules continuously tightened, wrapping around the angel wearing blood-stained and rusted full body armor and bearing twelve pairs of flaming wings, firmly binding him in place.

A blurred light and shadow appeared out of thin air. It sat on a pitch-black throne, above countless rules and orders, exuding an unspeakable, unwatchable oppressive feeling.

"Nation of Disorder... He wants to create a Specter Empire similar to Nation of Disorder and with a mystical connection, then perform some kind of ritual to descend more power by distorting rules and concepts, and even initially break free from the seal."

After muttering to himself twice, Leyton's body suddenly became transparent, like a statue composed of countless starlight.

The statue shattered instantly, and brilliant starlight surged, rapidly filling the space strangely divided by the Specter Empire.

One star after another emerged, then scattered rays of brilliance, converging into a magnificent pillar of light that enveloped everything around, powerfully dispelling and purifying the chaotic and distorted golden water flowing around, and the layers of interwoven chains of order.

The hazy starlight and the chaotic, distorted golden water mixed together, yet remained distinct, neither side able to dissolve or engulf the other.

During the stalemate, an angelic figure with twelve pairs of gray-white wings and a black hooded robe flew out from the gray mist above.

As soon as the paper figure angel formed by the high-level power of The Fool pathway appeared, the flowing, distorted, and chaotic golden water and the constantly tightening chains of order around it all paused for a moment, losing their target, not knowing what to do or what they should do, as if they had been fooled.

Leyton seized the opportunity, causing the starlight enveloping the surroundings to surge dramatically, disguising erroneous and chaotic information as correct information, and mixing it into the rules and order created and distorted by the surrounding Specter Empire along the chains of order.

The surrounding divided space was then restored, and the wandering starlight transformed into a dazzling sea of stars, directly covering the entire sky above the Specter Empire, distorting the surrounding space-time, and severing its connection with the Star Realm and the Spirit World. Even information could not be exchanged, bringing an extremely strong Concealment effect.

Under these circumstances, Nation of Disorder, sealed on the Western Continent, could not project some of its power through mystical connections, and the existences in the Star Realm and the cosmos could not observe this place.

Amidst the hazy starlight, Klein regained consciousness. He looked at Emlyn, who was still somewhat bewildered and afraid, and calmly said:

"Place yourself within the starlight, do not be covered by shadows, and do not interact with any existence here, and you will not encounter danger."

After a brief instruction, Klein no longer paid attention to Emlyn and directly walked towards the center of the city.

The paper figure angel created using The Fool card was unexpectedly powerful, directly affecting the state of this city. Perhaps it was also because I am already a demigod, and can leverage more of the power above the Gray Fog.
