After wandering through the treasury for a while, Vance finally arrived back at the Arbiter's location.
Although the Arbiter could teleport people directly to him, doing so consumed a noticeable amount of his energy so unless it was absolutely necessary, he avoided it and instead, he gave everyone tracking artifacts, tools that always pointed back to his position.
As soon as Vance stepped into the chamber indicated by the artifact, he straightened his back unconsciously.
