"Are you talking about the aliens who call themselves the Skrulls?"

Clark considered the question for a moment, then finally shook his head.

"Before they disguise themselves, they are a species completely unlike humans. Their bodies aren't even carbon-based.

But once they've taken on a disguise, on a cellular level, they are identical to the original human. They can even perfectly mimic the material of clothing. Right now, I can't tell them apart just by looking."

While Clark could identify a Skrull by observing subtle, microscopic changes in their bodies during communication, he couldn't do so from a distance. He also didn't have the psychic ability to read minds without physical contact.

"In that case, I think we should postpone this plan for now," Benjamin advised.

Clark had explained the technology Richard had used before he left: a Kryptonian method for exiling prisoners called the Phantom Zone.

Richard had sent himself and Mary there to prevent anyone from impersonating them and harming Clark. Although the Phantom Zone wasn't a natural part of this world, the dimensional cracks it utilized still existed.

Clark had already mastered the technology, and now, with the knowledge he'd absorbed from Lex Luthor, it would be easy to bring Richard back.

"Mary and I are your parents. To keep you stable, the government and other special organizations won't directly do anything to us—unless they want to become your direct enemy. But Richard is different. Outsiders don't know our relationship with him.

As long as he's here, he'll be their main target. And..." Benjamin hesitated before finally speaking the truth. "Richard has done a lot of research on some of your genetic samples over the years.

If he comes back and continues to be in disguise, that research could fall into the wrong hands. It's best not to bring him back until everything calms down. Over time, the mutant threat will slowly fade, and when it does, you'll become the biggest target in the world."

"The public's admiration and love for you can help, but in a crucial moment, it can't actually stop anything."

After all, if Superman wants to live on Earth, there are only two paths: use force to suppress countries and governments, or, to a certain extent, follow the rules of human society. Clark, who wanted to avoid a fight, naturally chose the latter.

"I understand," Clark said, giving up the idea of rescuing Richard for now. He was in a state of suspended animation. Perhaps the space between dimensions was safer than Earth. Still, Clark decided to seek out the Ancient One and ask her to use her magic to monitor Richard's condition.

"Actually, I have a thought," Benjamin said as their conversation was ending. "Why don't you consider teaching Peter the principles of the Phantom Zone technology bit by bit? When he grows up and masters it, everything will be stable."

After some thought, Clark agreed. It was a good solution. He could help Peter find his missing parents while also mentoring his younger brother, who was incredibly talented. As Clark saw it, Peter's technological genius was perhaps even greater than that of the nearly 40-year-old playboy at Stark Industries.

"Oh, right!" Benjamin suddenly exclaimed, pulling out a stock transfer agreement. It would transfer all his shares in Parker Industries to Clark.

"This is too soon..." Clark said hesitantly. At only 14, he was reluctant to become the boss of a big company and spend his days in an office.

"Since you don't have to go to school anymore, except for exams, you need something to do, right? Your mother and I have always believed that being Superman isn't your whole life. The life of Clark Parker is what's most important."

Clark looked at the signed agreement on the table and finally nodded. "Okay, you're right. I've had a lot of ideas in my head recently. But Dad, you have to agree to be the executive director. You can't just hand over the shares and then disappear."

"Of course," Benjamin replied with a smile. "But you have to give me the highest salary."

Over the next few days, because Emma Frost only allowed representatives from various countries to enter the Krakoa Sea, not reporters, the public's focus on mutants began to wane.

However, for mutants living in other countries, life suddenly became much easier. Their gratitude toward Superman grew, and this feeling quietly influenced them to become kind and just people—the powerful effect of a true idol.

Meanwhile, in the United States, a piece of news captured public attention: Parker Industries, now a leader in the American pharmaceutical industry, had a new owner. Clark Parker, the son of major shareholder Benjamin Parker, had inherited all shares and become the majority shareholder.

To most people, this was just a topic for dinner-table conversation. The old shareholder, Benjamin, wasn't retiring; he was simply moving from shareholder to executive chairman. They saw it as nothing more than a stunt by a doting father to entertain his son. But they soon discovered it was much more than that.

A few years prior, Parker Industries had cautiously tried to enter new fields, but progress had been slow. Instead, the company had amassed a large amount of capital and prepared itself. Now, with the stock transfer complete, Parker Industries made its move.

In just one month, it launched numerous products in high-tech and materials science. In the field of materials, in particular, whether for construction or everyday use, Parker Industries released a wave of new materials.

While they were superior in every way, they were also more expensive due to production costs. Nevertheless, every industry that relied on basic materials saw the coming storm in Parker Industries' new developments.
