Scarlet's POV
"Spare me the tedious preamble," I cut in, my patience evaporating. "Get to the point."
"This isn't something I can discuss so openly," he said, his gaze flicking to the guards.
I scoffed. "You dare come to my home and give conditions? Do you have a death wish?" I didn't wait for his reply. A single glance at the security guard was all it took. The man stepped forward and seized Dave's arm, ready to drag him back down the driveway.
I turned to walk away, disgusted with myself for entertaining this farce. I should have had him removed at the gate.
"Your are quite impressive," Dave called out, his voice strained but clear as the guard began to haul him off. "Orchestrating a whole fake mate bond. Must have been a blow when the real one showed up and ruined all your hard work. Tell me, do the triplets know how far you're willing to go to have them?"
I froze. The world seemed to shrink to the sound of his voice. Rage, cold and absolute, washed over me. I turned slowly.
