I helped Mahira get on my bed and let her lie down.
'You are not doing well. Now that I'm here, I will take care of you okay.'
She looked at me and smiled a bit. Her smile was barely visible but it was there, small and
broken. Her eyes looked drowsy, a bit heavy. Did she drink alcohol?
I'm not sure what she consumed but it must have been the one making her behave like this.
'It's really you, my baby.' she reached for my face and gently caressed my cheek, this time her
smile was a little less forced.
I finally found you, fairy. I finally get to see you, finally I get to see the stranger who loved me
when she never met me, finally I meet the woman who irked my brother so much.
She was far more beautiful and different than I had imagined. Too bad our first meeting was bad
but I hope we could get along.
I wonder if she still loves me?
Mahira's phone rang. I searched her dress for a pocket until I found it and took the phone out.
The caller I'd was 'main bitch', whom I guessed may be her friend or something.
'Hello.'
'Mahira, did I leave you in America for you to misbehave huh? Why did you go to Thane's
wedding? How could you do that? You used $20 000 just so you can attend Thane's wedding
dressed up like a fuckin bride. I gave you my card so that you could go to London, not so that
you can...."
The lady sounded mad.
'I'm sorry madam, it's Elena speaking not Mahira. Actually, Mahira is not feeling well, she just fell
asleep a few minutes ago."
The lady immediately hung up.
I stared at fairy as she slept. She was so beautiful. Is it even legal to be this beautiful and kind
hearted. I wish I was as beautiful as he, simply breathtaking. I removed the jewelry she was
wearing which was heavy, like really heavy. It was beautiful though, her dress, the jewelry. I put my blanket over her and put my teddy bear aside so I could sleep in its place.
I shifted closer to her and rested my head on her chest and placed my hand over her waist
drawing circles on the exposed skin until I fell asleep.
The light on my face woke me up. Fairy was still sound asleep and I was hungry. I hope there's
food left over from last night. Well leftover food is for the servants because my family is too high
up to eat leftover food. Well I hope the servants left a little something in the fridge.
I need to learn how to cook delicious food professionally because I can't live like this. At this rate
I'd die from hunger someday because of the 'rich people don't eat leftovers' policy.
Good thing I knew how to use the air fryer.
I got off the bed and sneaked to the kitchen. The hall was back to normal as if there was no
wedding just a few hours ago.
I must applaud the servants, they're good. The lights were on just like always. I opened the
fridge looking for something I could throw in the air fryer. Thankfully there was a takeaway in the
fridge.
Thank god.
There was creamed pasta with prawns and a stake in the other one. Jackpot.
I transferred the food to a clean plate and warmed it up before going back to my room.
When I got to the room Mahira was now awake. I smiled at her even though she looked
stressed hoping my smile would lighten her up.
'Elena…'
Mahira whispered, with tears in her eyes. I smiled at her, set the tray down and hugged Mahira
tightly.
'I never thought I'd ever see you. How are you feeling today? Do you feel better?'
'Hi baby. It's really you. I wasn't dreaming.'Her arms tightened around me. She pulled away and
looked down.
'I'm so sorry.I shouldn't have done that.'
"It's okay . You can hug me as much as you want.'
She smiled at me.
'Why don't you hate me? I mean considering how much your brother hates me I'm sure he's
only said bad things about me.'
'I'm not like my brother. I like you. Now I'm going to keep you by my side forever.'
