Initially, Shikamaru had considered heading to Kirigakure first. Although the village only housed the Six-Tailed Jinchūriki, it was also home to the Fifth Mizukage Terumi Mei, a woman who stirred his heart. After weighing the pros and cons, however, Shikamaru ultimately chose Iwa Ninja Village.
Several days later, Shikamaru entered Iwa Ninja Village territory. Transforming into a shadow, he slipped effortlessly into the village. After discreet inquiries, he learned that the Five-Tailed Jinchūriki Han remained uncaptured by Akatsuki.
As for Roshi, the Four-Tailed Jinchūriki, the only information Shikamaru could gather was that he had defected, his current whereabouts unknown.
"Then I'll collect the shadow of the Five-Tailed Kokuo first," Shikamaru muttered. His shadow flickered through the shadows between buildings, swiftly exiting Iwa Ninja Village and materializing atop a towering peak just beyond the village limits.
"They're on a mission to the Land of Water and will definitely pass through here on their way back," Shikamaru muttered to himself, concealing his presence with a shadow barrier. The path below was the only route back to Iwa Ninja Village from the Land of Water, so all Shikamaru had to do was wait like a hunter lying in wait for his prey.
Of course, Shikamaru had also left a shadow clone in Iwa Ninja Village to monitor the Jinchūriki's movements. As long as he didn't stray too far, the shadow clone wouldn't dissipate.
"If only I'd brought Hanabi along..." Shikamaru regretted it after waiting for a while without seeing anyone. Having Hanabi with him would have made the wait more bearable, allowing him to work while keeping watch.
"Tetsuki-sensei, when are you going to teach us advanced Earth Release techniques?"

"Heh heh! That's more like it!" Tetsuki chuckled with satisfaction, her massive jade rabbit pendants bouncing up and down against her chest. The three Genin couldn't help but avert their gazes, swallowing hard as they secretly marveled at Tetsuki-sensei's... impressive assets.
"Hey there, beautiful Jonin from Iwa Ninja Village! Nice to meet you!"
Without warning, a sinister voice echoed from in front of the four Iwa Ninja. Tetsuki immediately stiffened, her expression turning grave. How had she failed to sense his approach?
Shikamaru gazed at the flustered Iwa Ninja beauty with amusement. Her long, tangerine hair framed a delicate face that couldn't be older than twenty. His eyes lingered on her magnificent breasts, realizing this voluptuous woman had appeared just as he was lamenting his boredom. Her chest was easily on par with Tsunade's!
"Who are you?" Tetsuki barked, immediately adopting a defensive stance and shielding her three Genin students behind her.

"You filthy villain! Don't even think about touching Tetsuki-sensei!" one of the Genin shouted at Shikamaru.
"Shimotsuchi! Don't be rash!" Tetsuki immediately shouted at the Genin, glaring at Shikamaru with a mix of shame and fury. "I don't care who you are! Insult me, and you'll face the consequences!"
"Is that so? Don't you care about your student's life?" Shikamaru chuckled softly. His figure shimmered and faded, then reappeared with Shimotsuchi, the young Genin, dangling in his grasp.
"What...?" Tetsuki's vision blurred as Shimotsuchi was snatched away. Panic surged through her. Such speed! Just from that, I know I'm no match for him!
What should I do? Is he going to take my body? Tetsuki's panic intensified. Her student was in his clutches!
"Well? Serve me obediently, and I'll spare your student," Shikamaru said with a shameless grin, watching Tetsuki's face pale. He could have killed the three Genin outright, but he was just killing time with this game.
"Release Shimotsuchi first! I'll agree!" Tetsuki's eyes flickered with conflict before she gritted her teeth, glaring at Shikamaru with venomous hatred. His figure seemed strangely familiar, as if she had seen him somewhere before.
Bang!
Shikamaru tossed the Shimotsuchi youth at Tetsuki's feet, then smirked, "Satisfied? You can let them..."
But before Shikamaru could finish, Tetsuki cut him off with a cold snort.
"Earth Release: Fissure Earth Palm!"
After agonizing over the decision, Tetsuki finally resolved to resist. He would never allow his pure body to be defiled by this man! His earlier compliance had been merely a ruse to lower Shikamaru's guard.
Boom! The ground split open, a fissure racing toward Shikamaru. As Shikamaru leaped away, Tetsuki swiftly formed another set of hand seals. "Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet Technique!"
From the crack in the earth, an earthen dragon erupted, coiling upward to engulf Shikamaru.
"Tetsuki-sensei is amazing!" the two remaining conscious Genin cheered. But Tetsuki showed no such relief, instead rapidly forming another set of hand seals.
"Earth Release: Earth Corridor Wall!"
Boom! A massive earthen wall materialized before Tetsuki, summoned to shield her. The moment it appeared, a deafening crash echoed as the wall shattered, revealing Shikamaru's figure. The Shikamaru struck by the earth dragon bullet had transformed into a wooden log!
"You're a Konoha ninja?" Tetsuki exclaimed, recognizing Shikamaru's Substitution Technique. A familiar face flashed through her mind, confirming his identity. "Shadow Lord... you're Konoha's Shadow Lord!"
No wonder he looked familiar. Tetsuki realized this was the person the Tsuchikage had marked as an extremely high-priority target, his portrait was prominently displayed on the wanted list!
"So, now that you know who I am, are you still going to resist?" Shikamaru hadn't expected Tetsuki to recognize him so quickly after seeing his Substitution Technique. Habits are a curse, he thought, but he didn't mind. Instead, he grinned wickedly at Tetsuki.
"Earth Release: Earth Prison Technique!" Tetsuki countered with her own ninjutsu. She slammed her hands into the ground, instantly conjuring a sphere of earth to imprison Shikamaru within.
"Take Shimotsuchi and run! I'll cover your retreat!" Seeing Shikamaru easily trapped, Tetsuki immediately ordered the remaining two Genin, a hint of suspicion in his voice.
"Understood, Tetsuki-sensei!" The two Genin replied in unison, their voices filled with urgency as they carried the unconscious Shimotsuchi and fled.
Boom! Only after the three Genin had vanished did Shikamaru shatter the Earth Prison Technique, the earth exploding outward in a shower of debris.
"Tsk tsk! Miss Tetsuki, why didn't you run?" Shikamaru chuckled, his eyes fixed on Tetsuki, who remained outside the shattered prison.
"Hmph!" Tetsuki snorted coldly, refusing to answer. Now that her students were safe, she felt relieved. She knew Shikamaru's target was her; as long as she stayed put, her students would be safe.
Shikamaru's figure flashed before Tetsuki, swiftly sealing her chakra flow. He then scooped her up in his arms and soared toward the mountain peak.
Unbeknownst to Tetsuki, a dark shadow had slipped into Shikamaru's body, a Shadow Clone he had dispatched to deal with the fleeing Genin.
