I was wondering whether Llewellyn's eyes widening in shock meant I shouldn't have taken the liberty when he… kissed back.
"..."
I parted my lips.
Llewellyn's tongue slid in, and I promptly caught fire entirely.
I stepped even closer, letting the kiss go deeper.
When I pulled back a little to look at him, Llewellyn's eyes were half-lidded, his breath heavy.
We were still hovering close, hands in our trench coat pockets.
"I thought you didn't want to," Llewellyn said, voice raw.
"…"
I let out a noise—and suddenly my hands were in his hair, and Llewellyn's were on my waist, and Llewellyn's tongue was in my mouth again, and he was walking me back until I was pressed against the nearest lamppost and there was nothing hesitant about this anymore.
It was so good—the push and pull and nipping and biting and hair tugging—
My fingers tightened in his hair. I tried to give back as good as I was getting, but then Llewellyn tilted his head, somehow going deeper and wetter, and my knees actually buckled.
Llewellyn's arm circled my waist, holding me up against the lamppost. His teeth bit down on my bottom lip while his other hand lifted my shirt so that his arm was on naked skin, and I… uh… made another embarrassing sound. It got swallowed into the next kiss as I dragged him closer.
I tugged at his hair, probably too hard. Llewellyn groaned, pressing his whole body against mine—from lips to… groin.
There was literally no one here. Right here, under this streetlamp, we could get rid of our clothes and—
Wait.
"Hey," I said between kisses, slowing us down. I nipped at his lower lip.
Llewellyn hummed, and when I turned my head slightly to get myself ready to speak, his mouth moved to my jaw, then my neck, licking his way downward. He pressed his hips into mine, and bit down on my throat.
"…"
I lost it again.
I pulled at his hair, capturing his mouth.
"I need to tell you something," I managed into the kiss.
This would be easier if I could stop losing it whenever he bit and sucked anywhere.
"Alright," Llewellyn said, with a lazy press of his hips.
I moaned and kissed him again.
A few moments later, Llewellyn pulled back a little, hovering close, waiting.
"Well?"
Right. I needed to tell him.
I blinked. Llewellyn's face was flushed. His hair was a mess, his trench coat askew, his lips wet and bitten...
I pulled him into a kiss again.
"No, wait," I groaned when he kissed back, pressing us closer. I shuddered. "I really need to—"
Llewellyn's mouth moved to my jaw, down my throat.
"Go on, then," he said.
I closed my eyes and tipped my head back against the lamppost, chest heaving.
Clothes were entirely unwelcome right now.
When I didn't speak immediately, Llewellyn mouthed his way back up and found my mouth again.
The kiss was slower this time, though keeping it slow was difficult considering we were both hard and pressed against each other and I wanted us naked.
No. Focus. I needed to tell him.
"Do you know why the System found me and offered me a contract?" I managed, only keening very slightly.
"Mmh," Llewellyn said. "Why?"
I tried to collect my thoughts and stop myself from jumping him again, but… apparently I took too long.
Llewellyn leaned in for a small kiss again. Which became more small kisses. Which became deeper kisses. And… we were making out again.
Wait, wait.
My heartbeat was very fast.
I pulled my head back, panting. I needed to speak, but… uh.
Llewellyn's cheeks were pink, his lips parted…
"..."
I hauled him into another kiss.
Wait, no.
Llewellyn's lips curved against mine. He seemed amused, probably assuming I'd given up. He pressed his hips into me and picked up the pace until I was almost panting.
I pulled his head back and swallowed.
"Do you have to tell me now?" Llewellyn mumbled against my mouth.
"Yes," I said. "Listen—"
Llewellyn hummed but wasn't really listening. A split second later, his tongue was in my mouth again and his hand slid into the back of my trousers, just slightly, and for the next three minutes I forgot everything I was about to say.
I mean, I'd been dying to do this. The last thing I wanted was to stop.
But if he kept going...
I sucked on his tongue gently and Llewellyn let out a noise and pushed me even harder against the lamppost—which unfortunately turned me on more.
"Hey," I said, panting, tugging at his hair until I managed to pull him back a bit.
"Yeah?"
"..."
Llewellyn's eyes were dazed.
I swallowed and leaned in to steal another kiss, then pulled back and said, "I really need to tell you."
Llewellyn pressed his forehead against mine. "Alright," he said. "Go on."
Damn it, he looked absolutely...
I hovered closer, leaning in automatically, but at the last moment managed to hold back this time.
Right. Here it goes.
I bumped my head back, which had the side effect of making me roll into Llewellyn slightly. We both moaned.
The effort of holding myself back felt superhuman.
"The System," I managed, breath wrecked, one hand still in Llewellyn's hair, "found me because you seem to have a 67% probability of lethal outcome if you fight alone. Somehow, hell knows why, if I'm with you that's reduced by 42% 'compared to supported projection'. I don't know if with 'supported projection' it meant that initial 67% or another calculation entirely, but... that's why I'm here in the first place."
Llewellyn leaned closer again.
"Okay," he said, not looking even remotely perturbed. "And?"
Okay and?! What did he mean, Okay and?
"And," I said. I was having a lot of trouble focusing. "If we… uh… keep this up, and later I fuck things up, and you get pissed at me, I need you to promise you won't cut me off. Even if you want nothing to do with me outside Knot sites, we need to fight Knots together."
Llewellyn had paused and was staring at me now. The breeze had picked up a bit, ruffling his hair.
"Wait," he said. "Is this why you didn't want—?"
Uh?
"Well, yeah."
Llewellyn let out a noise and kissed me.
"..."
"Is that your only condition?" he asked.
Huh?
"I have no other conditions," I said. "But that one is non-negotiable."
"Mmh," Llewellyn said, kissing me again.
This was... My face felt hot.
When he finally pulled back and I opened my eyes, blinking, he was staring at me with a frown.
"Three things," Llewellyn said, his hands still on my waist. "One, I accept your terms. Two, there is nothing here that suggests you'll be the one fucking things up. And three," he leaned in and bit down on my lower lip again. "It's going to be fine; we're going to make it work. Can we go back to it now?"
Uh. When he put it like that—
"Fine," I said. I grabbed his sweater and pulled him back into a kiss.
I felt him smile and we were making out again, harder.
"System," Llewellyn said, suddenly, still so close that out lips touched. "Can you relocate Lumos and Penguin to a safe place? Make sure they're not around here?"
[System Notification: Affirmative. Relocation completed.]
"Good," Llewellyn said, and slid my coat off my shoulders.
