Chapter 147 - Ep. 32 – Exhibit A (I)

Didn't matter how many times it happened, waking up next to Llewellyn was great.

In fact, I didn't want to get up at all.

Llewellyn was still fast asleep. With his hair mussed, he looked soft and… kissable.

It didn't help that he currently had an arm draped over me.

Last night, we'd made out in Llewellyn's super fancy shower and um… Llewellyn had got us off against the shower wall, but we were too tired for anything else. We ate dinner together on the sofa in front of the TV, fell asleep, and only later woke up and dragged ourselves to bed.

Honestly, it'd been a crazy day and I'd had a lot of crazy days so far. My flat had exploded, I'd moved in with Llewellyn, we'd had semi-public sex in the fitting room of a shopping mall, we'd fought a Distorted Realm in Turkey, met Altan, been teleported inside a reproduction of the Trojan Horse, met his fiancée and found out about their Elemental—not to mention visiting Gran with Llewellyn earlier in the day and finding out about Flat White from Niamh! That was way too much.

And this was only yesterday. We'd also gone through the Iceland Distorted Realm this week, we'd met Gilded at the Rusty Chalice, we'd been attacked by the Alliance, Baugh had tried to kill me and he'd ended up being incinerated by Penguin.

I still didn't know how I was supposed to feel about that. I wouldn't have killed him for an attack directed at me, but… the Alliance had tried to kill Llewellyn at the auction. If I'd thought they had any chances of succeeding, I might have also—

I understood Penguin, that's what I meant to say.

I closed my eyes then opened them again, turning to look at Llewellyn.

His eyes were open and he was looking at me.

…Okay, that was embarrassing.

"Hey," I said.

"Hey," Llewellyn said, pulling me closer and nuzzling at my neck. "Morning."

Um.

I reached out for his hair and Llewellyn let out a pleased sound.

"I need to take Lumos out for a walk," he said after a moment.

"Take Penguin too," I said. "I'll start on breakfast in the meantime."

"Mmh," Llewellyn said, pressing a kiss under my jaw. "There's no need. I can take care of it when I'm back."

…Honestly.

As soon as Llewellyn, Lumos, and Penguin vanished into Llewellyn's Core Partition for a morning walk, I immediately got up, put on one of my new hoodies which was still stored in my inventory, and started making breakfast.

There were eggs, butter, coffee, and everything I needed to make pancakes. I didn't know how long it would take them to come back, so… better focus on the pancakes for now. Eggs and coffee would be quick to make once they were back.

I mean, if I didn't, Llewellyn was likely going to whip out a whole feast when he came back, so. I had nothing to do anyway.

As I waited for the first batch of pancakes to be ready to flip, I opened Flat White on my phone and navigated to the forum section.

There was a lot going on. They'd found out my flat had been blown up and were assuming, hoping, betting on, praying, begging that I'd moved in with Llewellyn.

Well, of course they were right. That's exactly what had happened.

There were also speculations about the Troy Distorted Realm, but thankfully no one was coming at us. There were some shots of the National Park itself, with all the walkways blown up, but the damage to the actual ruins had been minimal, so the comments weren't too awful.

Actually, now that I thought about it, this was probably just a friendly website and that was why I wasn't seeing too much hate. If I opened social media, the backlash would likely be bad.

Well, anyway. It was a bit embarrassing, but I didn't mind seeing the Flat White users rooting for us.

Speaking of which…

I flipped the pancakes and opened my texts.

A new text from Niamh sat at the top.

Niamh: You met Altan??? And you two didn't even take a selfie to send me?!?!?!

Well! He must have told her then.

Ryo: Did he tell you we were inside the horse?

Niamh replied immediately.

Niamh: Horse? What horse?

There was a pause.

Niamh: Wait, you mean this horse?

She attached a pic of the funny-looking horse.

Ryo: Yeah, that one

Niamh: Why were you and Altan inside the Trojan Horse?!

Ryo: Hiding from the police

Niamh: WHAT!!!!?!?!?!

I cackled and poured more batter.

Altan turned out to be fine. When I texted him, he replied saying they'd got back safely and managed to get their parents' blessing after all, so… crisis averted, I suppose.

Llewellyn came back just then. Penguin and Lumos came into the kitchen chirping and barking, both wanting to be petted.

"Hey, hey," I said. "Welcome back."

"I think they had fun," Llewellyn said, amused, placing Penguin on the kitchen counter. Then he pressed me against the kitchen island and kissed me.

Um. Damn.

I cupped his head and kissed him back.

Meanwhile on the counter, Penguin was eyeing the pancakes a bit sadly.

"What, did you want to cook too?" I asked.

Penguin chirped.

"I still have to make the eggs—want to take care of those?"

Penguin perked up immediately, chirping enthusiastically.

I really had to buy him a tiny kitchen set or something. Or maybe take him to see Gran more often.

"I'll make the coffee," Llewellyn said, just hovering close.

Well. I kissed him again.

Once Penguin and I had cooked the eggs, and Llewellyn was done with the coffee, we all sat down to eat.

It was still mid-morning, but… today was the last day of the Yun Seojun festival and I still hadn't seen Llewellyn's exhibition!

Maybe I should try and sneak in there later.

In front of me, Llewellyn's eyes narrowed.

"What?" I said.

"I don't know what I'm sensing through the bond, but I'm sensing something."

I snorted.

Really now.

I passed a bit of pancake to Penguin, who'd changed into his fire fox form to eat it properly.

"You don't want to know," I said.

"No?"

I grinned at him. "It's the last day of the festival. I'm going to check out that exhibition on you."

Llewellyn paused mid-bite.

"You're right, I didn't want to know."

I tried to hold in a laugh.

Was there any chance I could talk him into coming with me?

***

Apparently, there wasn't. Llewellyn categorically refused to tag along to his own exhibition.

Ah, well.

It was still early enough, and I kinda wanted to snog him properly anyway, so when he cornered me against the kitchen counter and started kissing down my throat, I pulled him toward the living room and onto the sofa instead.

We ended up making out for another twenty minutes, which meant we were… this close to escalating things. Our shirts had been discarded already and if I didn't stop him, the rest was about to follow.

Unfortunately, I didn't really want to stop him. But I didn't want to be distracted from going to the exhibition either!

By the time I finally managed to drag myself off the sofa, I'd lost all sense of direction and any will to be anywhere else.

…Which I was now starting to suspect had been Llewellyn's plan all along.

"Nope," I said. "I'm still going."

Llewellyn eyed me from where he was still half-sprawled on the sofa. His hair was mussed and his joggers were way lower than they were supposed to—

No. Focus.

"You're going," he said.

"Yes."

"To look at an exhibition about me."

"Precisely."

I mean, the entirety of Baekhaven must have seen that by now; I wasn't about to be the only one who hadn't! Besides, it was an exhibition on Llewellyn. Of course I was going to go.

Llewellyn groaned.

He really looked—

Maybe I could suck him off first?

Llewellyn must have sensed something through the bond because his eyes snapped back to me suddenly, assessing.

"System," I said, "can you move Penguin and Lumos to Llewellyn's Core Partition for a bit?"

Llewellyn confirmed the prompt—it was his Core Partition after all—then looked at me.

I strode back toward the sofa.

Llewellyn's hand reached out and a moment later he'd pinned me under him again, kissing me.

Fuck. I cupped the back of his head.

This was perfect, but—

"Not what I had in mind," I said, panting.

"No?"

…Damn, did he have to look so—

I slid out from under him and went down to my knees.

***

"I'm going now," I said, after we'd both come and cleaned up.

I was a bit spaced out. In fact, that had not been my plan—my plan had been to just get Llewellyn off! Llewellyn, however, took reciprocation very seriously.

Besides, of course I was spaced out. We were still kissing.

Through the bond, I could feel Llewellyn's satisfaction mixed with resignation mixed with his post-blowjob glow.

I grinned. "I'll send you pictures."

"Don't."

"Telepathic running commentary?"

"Absolutely not."

I kissed him one last time, still grinning. Then I got up and put my clothes back on before getting Penguin back from Llewellyn's Core Partition.
