Itachi looked back and forth between Chinya and Obito before asking, "You two know each other?"
Chinya didn't directly answer Itachi's question but continued instead, "Was I right?"
After a brief pause, Itachi followed Chinya's line of thought and said, "Indeed, not everyone in the Uchiha Clan is foolish. However, the minority must yield to the majority, forcing even some sensible people to act foolishly. That's why I want to eliminate those fools."
After hearing Itachi's response, Chinya turned to Obito. "So Madara, what would *you* choose?"
Obito countered with a question of his own, "And what about you? Your presence here isn't just coincidence, is it?"
Smiling toward Itachi, Chinya said, "I told you before—if you ever made a decision and needed help, you could come to me. Yet instead, you went to Madara? That really stung, you know.
So, since you, Itachi, don't want my help, I had no choice but to come myself and make sure you accept it."
"I don't need your help!"
Looking at Chinya with irritation, Itachi firmly rejected him, because Chinya had once declared he wanted to kill every last member of the Uchiha Clan.
The man calling himself Madara Uchiha had secretly come here and even wore a mask, meaning he didn't want to reveal his identity. Itachi could use that uncertainty over his identity to his advantage—after all, whether Chinya was really Madara Uchiha was itself questionable.
