The surface of starlight beneath their feet shimmered softly as the figures approached.
They were tall—taller than any being Lira had ever seen—and their forms were not solid in the way ordinary creatures were. Their bodies seemed made of flowing constellations, shifting slowly like galaxies breathing in the dark.
Where their faces should have been, there were only clusters of bright stars.
Yet when they spoke, their voices were clear.
Ancient.
Calm.
"Lira of the Grove."
The words echoed gently through the vast star space.
Lira straightened, still holding Fluffy against her chest. Renkai remained beside her, his hand resting lightly on her shoulder. Serelyth and Thalanir stood close, silently watching the luminous beings before them.
One of the Guardians stepped forward, its body glowing with slow spirals of silver and blue.
"You called upon us for answers."
Lira nodded.
