The Lycan
Everyone knows werewolves came first; they just don't know from whom.
The first werewolf, the Lycan, comes to town looking to end the vampires once and for all after learning of the link between the Original vampire family and the rest of their kind.
Maybe Bonnie decides to summon/find him after reading a passage in her grimoire, when searching for a spell to defeat Klaus, about a dangerous creature, older than dirt, and far more dangerous than they could have ever imagined—the Lycan, who's known to reside in the Rocky Mountains.

Or, Tyler learns of it and goes searching for his help to kill Klaus.
Upon spotting the monstrous werewolf standing on top of a mountain, Tyler wisely decides to approach him in his wolf form.
The Lycan looks at him with some impressed amusement as he ascends the mountain, glad to see another not imprisoned to the moon cycles while lamenting their species' decline into dogs.
Shifting down to his human werewolf hybrid form to speak, he asks Tyler why he's here, and why does he smell so awful.
Learning of Tyler's hybrid vampiric nature instantly put the young man on edge as he released an unhappy growl.
The Lycan then follows him back, more than happy to help rid the world of vampires, this new plague he let go on for far too long.

MC sees Elena talking to Katherine, surprised and interested in her twin, who somehow looks even better, vampire DOPPELGANGER, heads over. Katherine, seeing Elena distressed over him, goes over to kill him and punish her for her insolence, only to zoom over and have her fingers break against his chest.
Ignoring what happened he grabs her and says hello and hits on her, she then tries to compel him but he uses it as an excuse to kiss her to which she slaps him and he says, well I'm getting a lot of mixed signals here, first you run into my arms and then stare into my soul only to slap me from kissing you, your one confusing chick, I think I'll go for now until you figure things out.

MC takes Rebekah to the mystic falls, the place where everyone thinks they've been but haven't been. A magic falls that made him who he is.
He traps her against the wall, ignoring her angry threats, explaining how she, the strongest physical female on earth, was going to bear his children, which makes her laugh.
He knew if he waited long enough, someone worthy would show up since the falls attracted the supernatural, even if they could never find it. He was glad he didn't have to settle for a doubleganger or regular vampire.
"Has no one ever told you, vampires can't reproduce?" she angrily explains.
He tells her how it'll definitely work.
Changing tones, she says if it's true and he's serious, he could have just asked that and she would have said yes and willingly given herself to him, and then gets a little excited, telling him to hurry up and stick his dick in her, that she's more than ready.
He's surprised at how wet she is, proving her words true as he releases her and finishes impregnating her in the pool under the falls.
Both knowing it worked, embrace her against the rock, staring lovingly into each other's eyes, kissing.

Different backstory because I'm not a fan of characters coming back from death or the newly added lore making things older than the Mikaelsons.
Alaric is still dead and not the father of the twins. The Gemini Coven abandons them after learning their siphoners, maybe comes back to try and kill them?
Caroline and Bonnie are running the school together. The Mikaelson's Boarding School for the Young & Gifted
A mad Damon is put down for good when Elena comes back free from his compulsion and sire bond, happily by Caroline and Bonnie, who remember all the things he's done to them, having been forgotten momentarily in light of bigger threats at the time.
And history repeats itself as Klaus is put down like the mad dog he is by his own adopted son, Marcel.

Maybe a better idea is that Malivore is the hidden villain from the shadows pulling all the strings in the Originals show.
An ambitious vampiric Malivore, wishing to rise to the top, has witches perform a ritual to make him more than what he is, something believed to be invincible. The only problem is that he learns about the sire link to the Originals and creates a plan to sever it using The Trinity as his pawns.
Succeeding in his plan, Malivore seems all but unstoppable until they learn of his weakness, the tribid—Klaus's daughter, the real reason Klaus was able to have a child, conceived on the same day Malivore went through the ritual, nature's balance.
Wishing to keep his daughter safe and keep her from harm, Klause devises a plan to save her from her fate.
Klaus, Jackson???, and Davina??? sacrifice themselves together to fend off Malivore and defeat him.

MC is a new werewolf student who arrived late, on a full moon of all days, and ends up transforming in the woods before getting to the school.
He runs across Hope's wolf, who is defensive at first at the unknown wolf, before taking a liking to one another.
They start playing together, running through the woods, nipping playfully, chasing each other, and then hunting for food.
Afterwards, they find a spot to rest and clean each other, licking the blood off each other's fur and snouts before Hope lets the joy of finding another wolf who could keep up with her and had no fear around her, to get to her, and she lets her instinct take over, turning around to present herself.
Taking the invitation, he quickly mounts her, and they spend the rest of the night enjoying each other's company.
The next day, back to being humans, they wake up naked together with him still spooned behind her, still inside her.
Both froze awkwardly upon waking, neither moving as last night's events played through their heads.
Feeling him harden inside her, her hips thoughtlessly began to move.
And with a happy groan, he pumped his hips slowly, getting a small moan from her before breaking the silence, "Not exactly how I thought I'd have my first time, always thought it would be face to face as a human... hope you don't mind," he said before flipping her around to her back and reentering, as if he knew she wouldn't deny him.
Hearing her name offhandedly did throw her off, though, as she allowed him to fill her again, missing the short absence between.
"Damn," he gasped as he thrust back inside. "You are beautiful," he said, combing the hair from her face, finally getting a good look at her in all her glory.
She grinned, "You're not so bad yourself," grasping his back.
Taken by her stunning smile, he leaned down to kiss her.
"Names MC, by the way," he breathed, breaking the kiss.
"Hope," she answered.
"Hope," he grinned, "That's a great name," he said, taking her lips again as he slowly began to speed up his hips.
Nearing the end, he felt the urge to bite her neck as they climaxed, and then howled his claim before collapsing back onto her, nuzzling her neck, licking the wound closed.
"Now what?" he asked, his hips still absent-mindedly moving.
"Now, it's my turn," she said, flipping him over to ride him.

And then it was as if cold reality hit her, frowning, "Look, I'm still not sure how this happened, but I think we should get to know each other a bit better before this goes any further."
"Don't you think it's too late for that?" he said, indicating the claiming marks on their neck.
Eyes widening, her hand shoots to her neck, the touch sending a bonding pulse through her, "What, what is this? And why do you have one?"

(Insert surprise to find he's also been marked, not realizing she was like him at first. Surprised to find himself part of a full mate and not just a one-sided mate.)

"Claiming bite? No, it can't be, that's fairy tale shit," she denied.
"You'd normally be right, but I have a feeling you're not exactly normal," he said, hinting at something.
She rolled her eyes, "As if you don't know," she said, waving her hand, using her magic to clean them. And then, remembering she quickly used the contraceptive spell that her aunt taught her to kill all the sperm inside her, and then cleaned herself up.
"Wow, you did it so easily, and it didn't even look like it hurt," he said, looking impressed.

"Care to help me out?" he asked, referring to the cleaning.
Though with a smirk, she said, "Sure." Dropping to her knees, deciding to take care of two problems at once, as he was still hard.
Taking him into her mouth, licking him, and nuzzling his balls, getting off on his scent.
"Oh... Oh fuck," he groaned happily as she worked him, and he shot another load down her throat.

"Hurt? Why would it hurt?" she asked, looking confused afterwards, thinking back to what he said, "The magic, I mean."
"Oh, well, it always hurts when I do it, wish someone had warned me there was another like me here, I always thought I was alone," he said, lifting a finger to show a tiny flame with the barest of winces.
"You can wield magic, too? I didn't know werewolves could use magic," said Hope, staring at the flame.
"It's not easy, what with it fighting the werewolf curse... Wait, aren't you a werewolf? What are you talking about?" he asked.
"You mean you don't know?" she asked.
He shook his head, "Know what?"
"I'm Hope, Hope Mikaelson, daughter of Klaus Mikaelson, the original hybrid," she answered.
"Oh... Oh, oh shit, you're that Hope, can't believe I didn't think of that, I'm so stupid, to think I mated to the tribrid," he said, shaking his head, "Didn't think that would be possible, but i guess you haven't technically died yet, so you're sitll just a werewolf hybrid like me, so it make sense I guess that the mating worked."
"What are you talking about?" asked Hope.
"The mating of werewolf witch hybrids. It requires magic to activate. We've mated each other with our magical bite claim," he explained.
"What! No, this can't be," she exclaimed, shocked.
"Do you, do you not like it?" he asked, feeling hurt at her rejection.
Seeing the hurt on his face, she resists the urge to snap at him, "Come on, do you actually want this? You don't even know me, hell, I don't know you, and now we're supposedly married, supernaturally married," she said exasperatedly.
He simply said, "Well, wolves do mate for life."
Sighing, she tells him to come on, and they go to find their clothes.
"Come on, let's go to school... Never thought I'd ever say that," he said, taking her hand, before stopping and asking her, "Which way is it?"
Giggling, she takes the lead, pulling him in the right direction.
At the entrance, they meet Lizzie, "I see you found the new guy, moving quite fast there, aren't you, Hope?" she said upon spotting their hands.
Hope quickly drops his hand, albeit reluctantly, as she scowls at Lizzie, "What do you want?"
Controlling himself from grabbing it back, he waits for them to finish.
"Mother's been looking for you, something about Landon lying to them," Lizzie informed, eyeing the new guy.
"Oh yeah, forgot about that guy. Fine, I'll see what she wants. Come on," said Hope, dragging the MC away.
Lizzie called out from behind them, "See you later, new guy, then perhaps you can tell me your name."
"She's friendly," said MC, looking to Hope, who gave a "Hmph!"
"I take it you two don't get along?" he asked.
"I don't want to talk about it now, let's just go see what her mother wants now," said Hope.
"Huh, don't you think I should go check in with the principal or something first?" said the MC.
"She is the principal," said Hope, "And later we can find Bonnie, and she can answer some of my questions about all this claim stuff, she's the head witch teacher around here."
MC sighed, "Okay."

They head to the principal's office, where she introduces him to Caroline and Bonnie, who are in a meeting together.
Josie stops by, drops off something for her Aunt, and is then asked to show the MC around by her mom while they discuss things with Hope.
Hope and the MC hesitate to separate, but Josie happily obliges, taking him away.
Caroline and Bonnie break the terrible news about Malivore being back, and explain the situation with Landon, how he was here on his father's, Malivore's orders to steal a knife that was sent to them for protection.
Hope sighs, thinking this was about her tribrid status, but she's quickly corrected, feeling embarrassed as they explain. While that is certainly a highlight, the main focus is the school, since all three species go here together, and there was no way Malivore would risk going near her or them like that again after what her father did to him.
Bonnie then spots the marking on her neck and asks her about it.
"Oh yeah, about that, what do you know about werewolf claims?" Hope asks awkwardly.

Afterwards, she finds the MC and drags him back to her room, where he proceeds to eat her out, getting off on her scent, before fucking the rest of the day away, ending in doggy style, curled together still inside her when they drift off, and then continuing the following morning in the shower.

Much later, MC sacrifices himself for her or someone she cares about, and she breaks down over his body.
But then he comes back, and everyone is temporarily shocked, having forgotten that her blood can turn werewolves after keeping it secret for so long, after deciding she never wanted to create another hybrid.
Only he didn't come back as just a hybrid; already being one himself, he came back as a tribrid, just like her. Ironically, becoming the first true tribrid.
And Hope is happy to have achieved what her father never could, creating someone just like her that will be with her always.
Knowing he needed blood to complete the transition, she offered her own, but he hesitated until he got her to say she'll tell him when to stop/stop him herself.
When she doesn't do that and lets him drink her to death, he manages to stop just a second too late and angrily abomishes her, asking her why she did that.
She just smiles as she dies and says, "I was always going to turn at some point, and now seemed like that perfect time. Besides, consider it returning the favor, I turned you, and now you turn me," she said, closing her eyes for the last time as a hybrid to wake as a tribrid.
When she wakes, they hug and kiss, but he breaks the moment by saying she forgot about one thing: there's no blood around here for her to drink.
"Then let's go get some," she said, and they zoom off into the sunset. The End? After the endgame climax, big fight, of course. Maybe this is the halfway point to everything building???
At some point, talk about how she can never have kids now, but she didn't worry about it, brushing off the concern, after all, they did have plenty of magic.
Or maybe the real fun starts, and the power couple decides to show the world their might.
