In the quiet lab….
Dim blue lights glowed along the ceiling. The machines around the room hummed softly. Sealing scrolls pulsed with gentle chakra.
And in the center of the room, inside a reinforced stasis tank, floated Madara Uchiha's body, untouched, perfectly preserved.
Kakashi stood in front of the tank, arms crossed, his eyes focused.
'This body is too dangerous,' he thought. But too valuable to waste it.
He watched the sleeping form of Madara, the way his hair drifted in the liquid, the way the seals held steady. All that power.
He remembered his promise to Tsunade. No more tampering with Hashirama's remains. But long ago, before that promise, he had already taken a perfect DNA sample. Stabilized and preserved.
So now he knew what to do.
"I won't revive you," he said softly. "I'll build something new."
He turned away from the tank.
The Orochimaru clone was nearby, adjusting scrolls on a shelf, humming to himself.
"I've made my decision," Kakashi said calmly.
"Yes?" The clone looked up, curious.
"We're going to make a clone," Kakashi said. "Madara's body will remain untouched. But we'll build a new being from his DNA. I'll merge it with Hashirama's stabilized clone cells."
"You're going to make… a new Madara?" The clone's eyes widened slightly.
"One with peak potential. Not a perfect copy. A vessel. A weapon."Kakashi nodded.
"That sounds like a beautiful experiment."The clone grinned.
They got to work immediately.
The clone helped Kakashi clear the center table, wipe down the chakra tubes, and set the growth chamber's crystal panels in place. Silver and green seals glowed around the medical tank.
Kakashi walked to a sealed cabinet and unrolled two scrolls, each one layered with dense chakra protection. One held Madara's extracted DNA, gathered from hair, skin, and bone. The other held Hashirama's stabilized cloned cells, grown from a sample a year ago.
When the scrolls opened, the room filled with a sharp, clean scent. It smelled like ancient power and fresh ink. Chakra sparkled faintly in the air.
"We'll reinforce the cells with Yin-Yang chakra," Kakashi said as he held both samples. "I want the clone physically perfect. But its mind… semi-conscious."
"Smart," the clone said. "It will awaken emotions slowly. Just enough for Sharingan potential. But not enough to become independent."
"Exactly," Kakashi replied. "I want to trigger Mangekyō artificially. Through chakra bursts. Memory injections. Pain spikes."
They sealed the DNA samples in the incubator tube. Green fluid filled the chamber. Chakra lines flowed from the bottom of the tank into the walls.
The process had begun.
As the machine calibrated, the clone leaned on the desk beside Kakashi.
"You've been thinking about this for a while, haven't you?"
Kakashi nodded. "Since the moment I saw Madara's Sharingan still intact, though it shouldn't be his. It's too weak."
He placed one hand on the map of chakra paths they would use to simulate emotional trauma. Silent patterns etched themselves across the page.
The clone watched him.
"Once it reaches full power," Kakashi said, voice low, "I'll devour it with the Genesis Seal."
"You're going to absorb it?" The clone blinked.
"Yes."
Kakashi's tone didn't change. "It's Sharingan. It's a chakra. It's Wood Style. It's regeneration. Everything. Without side effects."
"You'll gain Mangekyō and Wood Style in one step…" The clone whispered,
"I won't let power rot me," Kakashi said. "But I won't leave us weak either. If one fay Ōtsutsuki Kaguya returns… if Black Zetsu finds a new vessel… we need more than seals. We need evolution."
The clone smiled slowly.
"Now I see why I enjoy working with you," he said. "You make immortality look… efficient."
With the plan clear, the clone began working faster.
He murmured ideas as he moved: chakra signal stimulators, artificial emotion pulses, genjutsu-based flash memory injections.
"We can even inject fear," the clone said. "Brief ones. Just enough to trigger a Mangekyō response. Let the clone think it's alive… just long enough."
Kakashi didn't answer. He placed the final seal plate onto the chamber. Then he stood back.
"Cold as ever." The clone smirked.
"I prefer focused," Kakashi replied.
They finished connecting the chakra tubes and placed a chakra seal plate above the chamber.
The lights inside turned red, then green.
Inside the tank, a shape began forming, soft at first, like smoke under water. Then bones. Then skin. Then black hair.
The clone was forming. Male. Strong. Nearly perfect. But its eyes stayed closed.
Kakashi watched it grow with quiet interest.
"We'll give it one week," he said. "After that, we wake it. And test the triggers."
The clone stepped beside him, arms folded.
"A new being," the clone whispered. "Not born from nature. Not chosen by fate. Just built, and controlled by us."
Kakashi stared into the tank.
"Controlled," he repeated. "That's the point."
The room quieted again.
Machines beeped softly. The chakra in the tank pulsed with rhythm. The new clone's form was still, developing.
Kakashi looked down at the biometric readouts. They were Steady, Clean, and flawless.
He glanced over his shoulder, toward the sealed tank that still held the original Madara.
"You're done," he murmured. "It's his turn now."
The clone stood nearby, flipping through a fresh scroll and writing new seal patterns.
"You ever think," the clone asked suddenly, "what would happen if we let the clone live? Just… live."
Kakashi didn't turn.
"It won't," he said.
The clone grinned. "Didn't say it should. Just… wondered."
Later, the lights dimmed to evening tones. Blue chakra flickered gently through the walls.
Kakashi checked the final data on the clone's heart rate. Strong, predictable. No chaos.
"Take a break."He turned to the Orochimaru clone.
"You're kicking me out of the lab?"The clone raised an eyebrow.
"Just for now," Kakashi said. "I want the room sealed. No external chakra."
"Fine, fine. Don't fall asleep talking to the tank." The clone gave a dramatic sigh.
"No promises," Kakashi said with a smirk on his face.
The clone left through the sliding door, sealing it behind him.
Kakashi stood alone in the lab again.
In one tank floated the Ghost of Uchiha, now sealed and silent.
In the other, a new being, made to hold the best of two titans, and destined to be devoured.
Kakashi stepped closer, rested his hand on the glass, and whispered:
"Just sleep. When you wake… you'll serve a purpose."
