Cherreads

Chapter 61 - False information.

Kopii did not frown much at Kane's behavior; he could not even tell him to shut up while the Sword Princess was in front of him.

— You said it back then in the "Benevolent Mistress"; where did you learn it?

Squeezing his arm tighter, she said, looking into his eyes with hope. Kopii did not understand why she was looking at him like that.

— A fair wind that will bring happiness to anyone, and her name is Aria. Why do I know it?

She nodded at Kopii's question. Making a thoughtful face, pondering his next words, finding nothing better, he simply decided to tell the truth.

— A friend told me.

Smiling, he replied. He noticed how her eyebrows rose a little at his answer.

— Really?

Not fully believing his words, she replied, squeezing his arm even harder. And disbelief could be read in her eyes.

— Yes, the pure truth.

— If that's so, then take me to this friend.

– Ahahahha.

He frowned not at her suggestion, but at the force with which she was squeezing his arm. But the longer he was silent, the more painful it became.

— It hurts, it hurts, it hurts!

Kopii shouted, no longer able to endure.

— Oh, sorry.

Letting go of his arm and stepping back a little.

— It's nothing terrible.

He rubbed his arm.

— But then take me to your friend.

— But that's…

He hesitated, for he had just realized that if he said he was dead, it would sound like he was deceiving her.

— That's? – She tilted her head to the side.

«Damn, why is this so cute!»

Frowning a little, stepping away from her a little.

— Well, he died. The one who told me this died… Yes, that's how it is.

Her eyes narrowed a little at Kopii's answer.

– What are you talking to her about? Ask about something normal, like what her bra size is? No, no, better ask what color underwear she wears. Yes, yes, that's ideal. Come on, don't stall.

— No.

He whispered so quietly, so that Ais…

— What no?

Narrowing her eyes at Kopii's strange answer.

— Ah, that was just a thought out loud; don't pay attention to it.

Smiling, he said, stepping away a little, but she closed the distance again, as if there was nothing to it.

«Where are my personal boundaries, woman!»

— Well, I'll be going, I have things to do.

— What, no! Kopii, come on, act, when will you get another chance to talk to such a beautiful girl? Act, admit to yourself what you really want from her.

But he ignored Kane and, turning to leave, he hoped that this conversation was finally over.

— No, wait!!!

She shouted, grabbing his arm, not giving him hope of getting away.

— What?

— Show me where he is buried.

— That's also impossible.

He replied, already feeling with his whole being the approaching problems.

— Why?

Narrowing her eyes a little and squeezing his arm harder.

— Well, he died in the dungeon, so you know yourself.

— Yes, I understand… Well, fine, at least tell me his name.

Letting go of his arm, she said, staring intently into his eyes.

— Well, his name was Raven. Well, you've already seen him, when we first met in the "Benevolent Mistress", he was sitting with me.

He said with sadness, trying with all his might to hide the pain behind his words.

At his words, her eyes narrowed even more. She clearly remembered that day, because for the first time in her life, someone had spoken about her mother. And could describe her the way she described her.

— Well, bye.

— Are you mocking me? You were sitting alone back then! What, are you just playing with me?! Is this funny to you!?

Starting to raise her tone and closing the distance between them to a minimum.

— What, what do you mean!?

Not understanding, he replied, not noticing the distance between them.

— Act, Kopii, while she's so close, and then say it was an accident.

But he ignored him; all his thoughts were focused on the Sword Princess's words. What is she saying? Does she have memory problems? He thought, starting to doubt her ability to remember.

— What do you mean!? You just made it up to mock me. You're just playing with my feelings! You will tell me everything, absolutely everything connected to Aria! Every last bit! – Her voice took on dangerous notes. And he felt with every cell of his body her monstrous power.

— Wait, I told the truth! I'm not playing with you! Believe me!

He began babbling, not believing what was happening. That he had angered a level five adventurer? Yes, one blow from her could kill him, and the information about her had turned out to be useless; he had learned that the Sword Princess was rather calm and quiet, even mysterious. But he doubted it in this situation; he clearly saw that a little more, and she would kill him.

«There you go, Raven, you bastard, you said this was so important to her, but I see the opposite!» He shouted in his head, at the same time trying to calm the Sword Princess.

— You won't be able to deceive me again! You will tell me everything about how you learned it!

— Wait, wait!

He interrupted her, trying to stop her from reckless actions. But it did not work well.

— Tell me everything you know about my mo… about Aria. And just try to lie to me again.

— It's the truth! That's all I know!

He shouted, starting to back away from her a little.

— Are you mocking me?

— No, no, you just need to calm down. Let's talk calmly.

But seeing how his words were flying past, and backing away, he began running towards the busy street, hoping that she would not catch him.

— Stop, stop, Kopii, you can touch her right now, and nothing bad will happen, because she's already lost her temper. Come on, don't hesitate, no, no, I've got it, offer her sex, and then tell her all the information, but then she'll definitely kill you, but it's worth it.

Ignoring Kane's words, he had no time for him right now; he needed to get away as far as possible.

«I need to run, I need to run, why am I so unlucky.» – Kopii thought, receiving a blow to the back. He felt his consciousness slowly fading, falling to the cold ground.

— White!

That was the last thing Kopii heard before he fully departed into oblivion.

— Oops…

Looking in shock at the unconscious body. She had simply wanted to ask, but, seeing him, she had lost control of herself, and when she understood that he was lying, she completely lost control.

For the first time in her life, she had lost her temper so easily.

Looking at the unconscious body for a little while, she took him in her arms. She did not know what to do with him. At first, she wanted to take him to the Blue Pharmacy, but then she would have to look for him again, which did not suit her.

Standing for a little while, she finally decided and headed to an abandoned street of Orario; there, no one would bother them for sure, and she would learn everything, the whole truth he was hiding. And she might learn the truth of why he had leveled up so fast. She was always looking for a way to become stronger, and now one of those ways was in her hands.

Two birds with one stone.

— White!!!

Kopii shouted, waking up abruptly; an unfamiliar place met him.

«What, where am I?» – He thought, starting to get up; the pain in his body told him that he had been lying on the cold floor of some ruined building for quite a long time. Remembering the last minutes before losing consciousness.

«Why did she attack me? All that information turned out to be wrong.» – Kopii thought, starting to move towards the exit of the room.

— Ooooh, you let such an opportunity slip. As always, you prove that I'm better than you in everything. And you know, Kopii, you're so bad at talking to girls that just a few phrases were enough to make her lose her temper and knock you out. Aahahahha.

His ringing voice gave Kopii a headache.

— Can you be quiet for a little, or better yet, tell me where we are?

— How should I know, Kopii? Why are you asking such stupid questions? If you don't hear or see anything, then I don't hear or see anything either, well, in short, you get it. Even so, I had far more important things to do than think about where we are.

— And what?

Raising one eyebrow.

— I was digging through your memories, that is, ours. And recalling the best thing that has ever happened to you in your life.

— And what is it?

— Before you blacked out, you saw a miracle.

— What, just say it.

Kopii's irritation grew with every word of Kane's, but he could not hide that his curiosity was also growing.

— The white panties of the Sword Princess!!!

Kane shouted at the top of his voice.

— … And that's all?

He said in disappointment. Well, what else could he expect from him. It was his own fault for thinking it would be interesting.
