Chapter 275 - Chapter 275: Superman Experience Card

"Face judgment!"

Breaking free from the chains of dark starfire, Kayle's armor ignited in blazing gold. The wings behind her shimmered, their white feathers turning into molten gold in an instant.

Facing her sister's transformation, Morgana refused to yield. Her eyes glowed violet, and both hands gathered a swirling mass of shadowy starfire.

As Kayle swung her sword, golden flames rained down like a storm. Morgana's gathered dark starfire expanded into a shield, absorbing the impact—yet countless firebolts still fell upon the grand plaza below.

Like a celestial meteor shower, golden flames crashed to the ground, spreading uncontrollably. The air erupted into chaos as the fire consumed everything it touched.

If not for the Demacians' habit of embedding anti-magic stones into their buildings—stones that absorbed a portion of the golden flames—the casualties would have been catastrophic.

But even so, the people fled in terror. Screams filled the burning city. Many never escaped.

Inside a collapsed home in the royal capital

Duke shoved away the rubble pressing on him, coughing through the dust.

"Cough, cough… Damn it, that woman's out of her mind! She went straight for the kill!"

Looking out toward the sky where gold and violet lights clashed in the heavens, Duke spat in frustration. If not for Morgana's earlier magic-immunity barrier—and his near-ascended body—he might've been vaporized on the spot.

Now the sisters were tearing the capital apart in their battle.

"Seriously?! After all the work I put into stabilizing Demacia, they're just going to flatten it like this?!"

He clenched his jaw.

"If I just stand here and watch you destroy everything I've built, I swear I'll never swing a hammer again!"

He slipped on Edith, tapped the frame of his glasses, and opened a comm-link to Pride and Gluttony.

"Pride. Gluttony. Forget the suppression missions—Unit 09. Look up!"

"Yes, Father!"

Their voices responded in unison. Duke pointed toward the sky where Kayle's golden wings flared like twin suns.

"You see that gold-winged bird up there? Fire at will—bring her down!"

The moment his command ended, a deafening ion breath tore across the heavens, slamming into Kayle's form.

Duke didn't care about their "sisterly quarrel" or divine philosophy.

Demacia's balance—his investment—was at stake.

Kayle had the audacity to descend, declare judgment, and threaten to undo his hard-won plans?

Not today. Not this time.

Tonight, Duke would help Morgana kill her sister and ascend through blood.

Locked in aerial combat, Kayle suddenly sensed the oncoming ion beam. She whirled around, raising her divine sword. The golden blade clashed with Pride's charged attack in a blinding explosion of light.

The impact sent shockwaves through the clouds.

Seeing the chance, Morgana gathered the dark starfire between her palms and hurled it.

The blast struck Kayle squarely, shrouding her in darkness. Chains of shadow bound her limbs, and Morgana's next slash carved a deep gash across Kayle's armor, sending her crashing down from the sky.

The winged angel fell like a comet, smashing into the plaza and leaving a crater amid the burning ruins.

Morgana whispered incantations under her breath; the ground trembled as waves of dark starfire surged upward, spreading across the plaza like a tar-black sea.

The golden flames sputtered out upon contact, suffocated by the clinging shadows.

Soon, Kayle was completely swallowed by the black mire.

"Feel the pain, sister!"

Morgana descended lightly, her pale feet stepping on the pool of shadows as though untouched by filth—like a lotus blooming in darkness.

But from within the depths of that abyss came Kayle's icy voice.

"You're still as naïve as ever, little sister."

A blinding eruption tore through the dark mire. Golden fire exploded skyward, shattering the bonds of shadow.

From within the flames, Kayle rose again, lifting her sword high.

Her wings burned completely gold, and—impossibly—a second pair unfurled from her back.

Four wings now, radiant and terrible.

"Sister," she said with quiet scorn, "what use are wings, if not to fly?"

Morgana met her gaze defiantly.

"And what use are feet, if they never touch the earth?"

Kayle sneered.

"You haven't changed. Still mouthing sentimental nonsense!"

"Humans aren't what you think they are. They're arrogant, greedy, selfish, deceitful—and never humble. Only the law can guide them toward righteousness!"

"I was born divine, so I must dictate humanity's path forward!"

"No one, not even you, shall defy that order!"

She raised her sword and slashed toward the heavens.

The air cracked open—a massive rift spanning dozens of meters.

With a powerful beat of her four wings, Kayle steadied the rift with golden fire, forming a celestial gate.

From within it surged blinding light and roaring flame. A colossal sword—glowing like a descending sun—emerged, aimed straight for Morgana.

Righteous Angel — Skill Q: Divine Impact!

The blazing greatsword fell like divine punishment.

Even King Jarvan III and his entourage, still fleeing the platform, froze in awe and terror.

This wasn't an attack of mortals.

It was the wrath of a god.

At that same instant, Pride and Gluttony stormed into the plaza.

Both unleashed their ultimate breaths—two beams of raw ionized power that collided midair, merging into a single massive energy pillar that shot toward the falling sword.

VMMM!

The beam pierced the heavens, clashing with Kayle's descending blade in an explosion of cosmic fury.

From afar, Duke watched the spectacle, eyes narrowing as he noticed Kayle's four radiant wings.

He let out a low whistle.

"So that's why Riot made her passive so busted," he muttered. "She's not even at six wings yet, and she's already this overpowered. What happens when she does hit six?"

In the game, Kayle evolved as the match went on—

Two wings meant increased speed, four wings unlocked ranged attacks, and six wings added divine power effects.

But here, in reality, each evolution made her exponentially stronger.

She wasn't just fighting—she was ascending.

And worst of all, she seemed able to control her evolution at will.

"Can the Sin Forms even withstand that…?" Duke thought grimly, dashing toward the plaza. "No… Gluttony's Sin Form isn't built for this kind of fight. Pride's is stronger, but risky—if he fails, he'll be obliterated completely."

"That leaves me with only one choice…"

He glanced at his inventory, where a single card glimmered faintly—a card he'd been saving for a day like this.

In the sky above, Kayle's expression hardened as she turned toward Pride and Gluttony.

"Creatures of steel," she said with disdain, "even gifted souls cannot cleanse your filth. You are abominations!"

She swept her sword, unleashing scorching Flame Tempests toward the two beasts before turning her gaze back to Morgana.

Morgana stared upward at the descending divine sword. She knew—if that blade fell, the entire capital would vanish from history.

"Kayle!!!"

Calling her sister's name, Morgana raised both hands, summoning the largest magic-immunity barrier she could muster.

Meanwhile, Pride and Gluttony, facing the oncoming inferno hot enough to melt steel, switched tactics. They ceased their ion breath and exhaled waves of chilling frost instead.

But the frost vanished the moment it touched Kayle's flames.

Even in their Sin Forms, they couldn't cross that final divine threshold.

Before the four-winged Kayle, they were utterly outmatched.

With a thunderous blast, both were thrown back by the raging firestorm.

Morgana's shield rose higher, her dark starfire clashing against Kayle's golden flames in waves of annihilation.

Then, soaring upward, Morgana spread her wings wide. The air rippled with the sound of clinking chains as a burning dark link shot forth from her chest, piercing straight through Kayle's body.

Kayle caught the chain with one hand, her eyes narrowing.

"Morgana… so you've finally reached this step."

Dark power rippled around Morgana like an ocean, trying to drag Kayle's soul into the abyss.

"Darkness will reveal the truth, Sister!" Morgana cried.

"If walking beside mortals is sin, then rot in your arrogance!"

The pain coursing through the chain seared directly into Kayle's soul.

Her eyes, once glowing with divine compassion, turned cold—utterly divine, utterly inhuman.

"Let sin rise," she roared, "and I shall rise higher still!"

With that cry, a sixth pair of wings burst from her back.

Golden fire erupted, burning everything—including the very chains that bound her soul.

Now in her Six-Winged Form, Kayle radiated a terrifying, untouchable divinity.

One swing of her sword shattered the void and struck Morgana, tearing through her dark flames.

Slash!

A gleaming wound stretched from Morgana's shoulder to her waist.

Blood sprayed as her eyes widened in disbelief.

"Sister… all these years, while you toyed with your mortal pets, I've neared the summit of truth."

"Now, I will use your life to sever mortality itself—"

"—and ascend to the realm of the gods!"

With a cry, Kayle thrust her flaming sword downward.

It pierced through Morgana's chest and nailed her to the earth.

BOOM!!!

The ground caved inward, leaving a massive crater.

Morgana lay at its center, impaled, the holy blade blazing through her heart.

"K–Kayle…"

Her vision blurred as she looked up at the sky, tears mingling with blood.

"Yare yare," a voice drawled casually from the crater's edge. "Do sisters really have to take sibling rivalry this far?"

Duke stood there, holding a gleaming card between his fingers.

"You're next, mortal," Kayle's voice thundered coldly from above, devoid of all humanity.

Duke looked up, smirking faintly.

"It's pretty chilly up there," he said. "Why don't you come down for a bit?"

He inhaled deeply, pressing the card to his chest.

"Superman Experience Card—Activate!"
