Chapter 547 - 547 Shirahoshi Little Trial

Sherwin hadn't lied to Bonney just now after taking down Doflamingo, things were far from over, and there was still a mountain of loose ends for him to handle.

For instance...

"Sh-Sherwin boss, about that half-Fishman..."

Having just sent Baby-5 away with the task of cleaning the rooms, Shirahoshi approached him, asking with hesitation.

"Don't worry, that kid doesn't have a Devil Fruit power, so I haven't taken him out for the time being."

Sherwin had long since guessed that Shirahoshi would care about Dellinger life, which is why he hadn't locked him up with Doflamingo and the others from the start.

"However..."

Before Shirahoshi could breathe a sigh of relief, Sherwin looked at her with a serious expression and said, "Whether he lives or dies from here on out will depend on you."

"Eh?"

"While I don't personally care about Dellinger life, he has, after all, committed many wrongs following Doflamingo and shows no sign of repentance even now.

Therefore, if you cannot make him change his ways before we return to Fishman Island, I will still finish him off...

Honestly, handing him over to your father to handle would be fine, but your family is simply too soft-hearted I don't trust them."

Sherwin clicked his tongue with a hint of disdain.

Even though Dellinger was not yet an adult, the evil deeds he had committed were certainly not few.

After all, Law and Baby-5 had started working for the family at a very young age, and Dellinger was clearly no exception.

If one wanted to make excuses for him, there were plenty of reasons: how he was led astray by Doflamingo, or how he was adopted by the Heavenly Yaksha as a child and had no choice in the matter.

It was just like how Baby-5 couldn't refuse others due to her personality issues.

But to be blunt, among the villains Sherwin had taken down in the past, there were surely many who had been raised as pirates from childhood back then, he had no interest in knowing whatever tragic pasts they might have had.

In fact, one could even argue that Doflamingo himself was somewhat "led astray" by Trebol and the other three executives... even if he was a bad seed to begin with.

So, Sherwin could temporarily spare Dellinger for Shirahoshi sake, but if he remained unrepentant, Sherwin would not hesitate to strike.

"Eh—?! M-me?! You want me to do it?!"

Shirahoshi twisted her fingers anxiously.

"That right. Aren't you trying to eliminate the discrimination humans have toward Fishmen and the hatred Fishmen have for humans? As a half-Fishman born outside of Fishman Island,

Dellinger has not only faced discrimination from humans since childhood but has also been discriminated against by Fishmen.

The targets of his hatred include you as well. If you can't even change his mind, then what the point of talking about anything else?"

This was also one of the reasons why Sherwin had spared Dellinger life. Shirahoshi, after all, was not the protagonist and did not possess Luffy natural talent for making everyone follow and help him therefore, relevant training and testing were necessary.

If she couldn't even "persuade" a single half-Fishman to surrender, then Sherwin felt Fishman Island should just obediently wait for Luffy to become Joy Boy before considering reconciliation with humanity.

"I understand! I will do my best!"

Sure enough, as soon as her mission was mentioned, the originally timid Mermaid Princess immediately perked up and impatiently ducked into the cabin to find Dellinger.

Sherwin turned his head and said to Kaido Meow, "Follow Shirahoshi to prevent her from being hurt by Dellinger, but it best not to interfere with the persuasion. Let Shirahoshi handle it herself."

"Don't worry, I know what to do, meow."

Kaido Meow nodded and followed her into the cabin.

...

"Sherwin-san!"

"Sherwin-land!"

As the Dodo Advance landed in the flower field next to the Dressrosa Royal Palace, the Riku Royal Family and the Tontattas, who had been waiting for a long time, immediately swarmed around.

"We truly don't know how to thank you!"

King Riku, Viola, as well as Rebecca and Kyros—whom he hadn't met before—all expressed their gratitude to Sherwin and the cats with excited expressions.

The Tontatta way of expressing their feelings was much simpler they continuously chanted names like "Sherwin-land" and "Shermie-land" in unison.

However, this lively scene was soon interrupted by someone...

"Your Excellency Sherwin, I wonder where the criminal Donquixote Doflamingo is? I am here to escort him to Impel Down."

A female Vice Admiral, whom Sherwin did not recognize but who was quite beautiful, arrived at the flower field with a squad of sailors and explained her purpose to him.

They certainly arrived quickly...

Sherwin secretly curled his lip in disdain.

He didn't believe for a second that Doflamingo would allow a Vice Admiral to stay in his territory for long, so the other party could only have rushed over after receiving orders from CP0 once the Birdcage was deactivated.

"Haven't you heard of my reputation before?" Sherwin looked at her with a half-smile. "Few pirates who fall into my hands manage to keep their lives... and it not like I haven't killed a Warlord before."

As he spoke, he took Doflamingo corpse from Seijuro Meow and tossed it in front of the female Vice Admiral.

"So he really is dead..."

The Vice Admiral merely frowned, then waved her hand to have her soldiers collect the body.

"Rest assured, I will have someone deliver Doflamingo bounty later."

It seemed this Vice Admiral was also unaware of Doflamingo true identity and had simply been summoned here by CP0.

Noticing this, Sherwin attitude toward her immediately softened. After exchanging a few casual pleasantries, Sherwin handed over the remaining corpses to the female Vice Admiral, who introduced herself as Doll.

Once the Marines had departed, King Riku and the others expressed their gratitude to Sherwin group once more.

"Mr. Sherwin, I haven't touched a single item in Doflamingo treasury. You may go and take possession of it at any time."

After finally finishing the formalities, King Riku gritted his teeth and spoke to Sherwin once more.

Although he desperately wanted to keep those riches to develop Dressrosa, he was even more terrified of provoking a Hunter even stronger than the Heavenly Yaksha.

Even though Sherwin seemed like a good person based on external rumors and this brief encounter, King Riku did not dare to gamble...

Because there was simply too much treasure in the palace vault! Even during the most prosperous period of King Riku reign, before paying the Heavenly Tribute, the national treasury hadn't held even one-tenth of that wealth.

"Money and such don't really matter," Sherwin said, having no intention of taking the gold. "Are there any Devil Fruits or Famous Blades in there? Oh... right, and Sea Prism Stone. Doflamingo should have quite a bit of that here, right?"

In his memory, the Heavenly Yaksha had once built an entire structure out of Sea Prism Stone. Although he didn't have SMILE fruits to grow now, given Doflamingo personality, he should have stockpiled some Sea Prism Stone.

"Is that all you require?"

King Riku confirmed, filled with immense pleasant surprise.

Sherwin glanced at him and then reminded: "Do you know where that money came from? Doflamingo has been running an underground arms business a lot of that is likely deposits from others.

I suggest you search carefully for his transaction lists and either complete the deals or pay compensation. Otherwise, those guys will most likely come looking for trouble."

He paused, then added: "At the very least, I know one of his trading partners is Kaido, one of the Four Emperors. That guy isn't exactly the reasonable type."

This was also one of the reasons Sherwin planned to stay in Dressrosa for a few more days—

He wanted to see if he could have another run-in with Kaido to unlock the Adept Style.
