-----------------------

Moon's Rise, the city of eternal night. Although it was still midday, it was a moonlit night within the city walls. A crescent moon was constantly visible from the top of the Twin Snake Towers, which the city was known for.

"Where do we begin?" Elise asked.

"The King of Terror said it was somewhere within the city, which is better than nothing, I suppose," Artero sighed, thinking of their interaction with him. He truly desired to have this excursion be a brief one. He wondered why the King of Terror wouldn't just tell them the location of the wishes outright.

"Come on, guys!" Teddy shouted. "We are in Moon's Rise! The town of suckin' and fuckin'."

Astrin frowned.

"I don't think they call it that."

"Well, whatever they call it. I know some real debaucherous shit goes down here," Teddy said, licking his lips.

"I think people also have to accept you for a client, Teddy," Myria said. "I don't think most women of the night want…" She gestured to him. "Whatever you are."

Teddy made a motion as though he had been shot in the heart.

"I'll have you know I am extremely desirable."

"To a bakery, maybe," Myria said.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Teddy lunged at Myria, but Rodrick pulled them apart.

"Everyone, relax. I know tensions are high, but we are on a mission here." Rodrick said, setting Teddy aside. "Let's split up into two groups. I'll go with the royals and Gwyn to the right half of the city; you go to the left side of the city."

"Why can't I go with Gwyn and them?" Teddy whined.

Myria grabbed his ear, pulling him away from the party.

"Because you're a rat, through and through, Teddy."

"Let go of me! I bet Gwyn wants me to defend her; she'll be in danger without me. You saw how brave I was with the King of Terror!"

His voice faded as Myria, Leo, Astrin, and Teddy (unwillingly) headed deeper into the city in the opposite direction.

"That Teddy is some character," Elise said, chuckling to herself.

"He is a bit of a handful, but he's mostly harmless," Gwyn said.

"Where are we going first?" Artero asked.

"I know of some places I'd like to go," Rodrick said, with an uncharacteristic bashfulness.

"What does this city offer anyway?"

Gwyn grew red at the thought of Teddy calling it the town of suckin' and fuckin'. She imagined there was some truth to his statement.

"Amusement rides, opera houses, plays, gambling, and of course, brothels," Elise said knowledgeably.

Ever since they arrived, the Princess's head had been feeling lighter than usual, like a headache was on the verge of forming. But it was a different feeling. She didn't want to admit it, but she was feeling aroused, and she had no idea why.

Just then, an elven man in leather bondage was being walked on a leash by a tall elven woman in extremely revealing lingerie and high heels.

"Oh," Gwyn said, averting her gaze from what she hoped was a couple.

"Not uncommon to see that here," Rodrick said, folding his arms. "The people of Moon's Rise have abandoned the search for answers and only seek pleasure."

"There's a market for it," Artero said, gawking at the couple.

"We don't know that," Elise said. "They could be visiting."

The tall elven woman pointed a finger down at the man in bondage, he sat, and she threw to him the equivalent of a doggy biscuit.

"Well… maybe some people have adapted to the… dynamic culture of Moon's Rise," Elise said, feeling totally out of her element. That weird feeling grew further. "Do you guys feel that?"

Gwyn hadn't an inkling of an idea what Elise could be talking about.

"Feel what?"

Rodrick stretched.

"I'd love to stay and chat, but I have some business I have to attend to."

Artero looked shocked.

"What? Where do you have to be?"

"Well…" Rodrick looked away from them. "I have… people I like to see here." He turned back to them. "You can follow if you like, Madam." He said, looking at Gwyn.

"I think we will be fine, I'll have Elise and Artero with me." She looped her arms around theirs.

Artero now felt what Elise was beginning to feel. He also didn't know what the strange feeling was, almost like an eagerness to undress Elise and Gwyn where they stood. He shook his head and realized the thought was inappropriate, but the thought kept buzzing around his skull like an annoying fly.

The elves became more insecure by the moment. Petrified of their desire. It was a saying in Moon's Rise that something was in the air, something that made you want to fulfill your deepest desires.

Lust permeated their brains, wrapping around them like a rope. Strangling every conventional thought or expected behavior.

Artero cleared his throat.

"I suppose we can protect Gwyn, should the worst arise."

Elise felt a heat build within her.

"Yes, I think… we can be fine with Gwynevere."

"Well, what do we want to do now?" Gwyn asked, oblivious to the spell that was overtaking the elves.

"We can search somewhere…" Artero trailed off, looking lustily at Gwynevere. "For a bite… perhaps?"

Elise stroked her finger up Gwyn's back as she whispered into her ear.

"We can spend some time alone, if you want, Gwyn."

Gwyn felt a chill rush throughout her body.

"Aren't we supposed to be searching for the dungeon?"

Artero lifted her sleeve and brushed his lips up her arm, kissing along the way.

"Rodrick has told me of a place couples can go. Would you like to attend them, Gwynevere?"

Gwyn was surprised at his forwardness. She looked to Elise, but she seemed to be having the same thought.

"Yes, Gwyn. Let's follow Artero, it seems like he has a good idea, for once."

Undeterred by the remark, Artero took their hands and led them through the streets.

Gwyn let herself be led through the city, where people looked joyous no matter where you turned.

Black-and-white brick buildings reminded her of Alice in Wonderland. Cobblestone paths, whimsical signs, and a… certain air to the place she couldn't quite place. After a walk through narrow alleyways and crowded streets, they arrived at a building where red light poured out like morning rays.

Elise and Artero excitedly giggled at one another, leaning into each other as if they were newlyweds. Gwyn was perplexed; it wasn't but a couple of days ago when they were at each other's throats.

They stepped into the building, draped in red curtains, whose architecture also seemed to lack any logic or reason.

"Here it is," Artero said.

There was a certain seductive quality to his words. He pointed to a building that emitted a constant stream of red light, adorned with tassels and delicate decorations.

Gwyn felt herself drawn to the red building.

"What do they do there?"

The noises coming from within instantly tipped her off as to its purpose.

"Oh, you know," Artero said nonchalantly. "Things."

"We can also… search other places," Gwyn suggested, a nervousness now choking her.

"I think everyone wants to be in here." Elise gently grabbed Artero's arm. "Don't you, Gwyn?"

"Um… I mean..."

Elise took her arm and led Gwyn into the building.

The entire interior was red. Large pillows sat in different booths and corners. Half-naked or full-naked elves sat talking to one another casually. Some people made out, but to Gwyn's surprise, no one was having any carnal intimacy in the central area. However, you could hear the moans of ecstasy no matter where you stood.

Artero walked up to the main desk, where a gorgeous, green-haired elf, fully exposed, greeted them with a lovely, warm smile.

"Welcome to the Rouge, would you like to partake in any of our wonderful elven finery this evening?" She leaned in close to Gwyn. "Or maybe you could spend some time with me."

Artero smiled warmly. He spoke with confidence as if he had done this a hundred times before.

"A room for the three of us, please."

"Perfect!" The concierge gave Gwyn a wink.

Gwyn didn't know what was going on, but everyone was so… horny. Artero paid her the requested amount, and she directed them to their room.

"Here you are," she said as she stood outside the room, which didn't have a door; it was just a thick, red curtain adorned with silvery tassels.

"Thank you," Artero bowed, then the three of them headed into the room.

There was a moment of silence once they were in the room. The sounds of sexual intercourse happening throughout the building seemed to be foreshadowing what the elves before Gwyn were intending. Gwyn had felt herself wanting something the moment she arrived at Moon's Rise. But with how the royals were acting, it's like a ravenous desire had been consuming them.

Nothing felt natural here. She felt herself resisting the same desire they were embracing. Something was off, and until—

Gwyn heard a noise. She stopped looking at the unused bookcase, and Elise and Artero were making out on the large, red pillow that seemed to envelop them as they lay upon it.

"What the hell?" Gwyn shouted.

The two stopped momentarily.

"I'm sorry, Gwyn, did you want to start things off?" Elise turned herself so her back was facing Gwyn. "Help me with my dress."

"No! Why are you two making out? I thought… like, you hated each other."

"Hate each other…?" Artero laughed. "We love each other. All I want is to be between you and Elise… or maybe I can—"

Gwyn shook her hands.

"That's enough, I get it!"

"What's wrong, Gwynevere?" Elise cooed. "You are always so into me when we are alone. Does one more person make you uncomfortable?" She gave her a devilish smile. "We can do it, and Artero can watch, if you like…"

"I would like to witness that very much," Artero said, fully erect at the idea.

"See?"

"I don't know who you two are right now." Gwyn shook her head as Elise tried to remove her dress. "Hey, don't take that off!"

"What… Gwynnie Poo… You don't want me?" Elise pouted.

"I do… I mean… Gwynnie Poo? I told you not to call me that anymore!"

Artero began to take off his pants.

"Keep those on!" Gwyn commanded.

"And what if I don't?" He dropped his trousers, and he proudly stood with his erect member for all to see.

Gwyn averted her eyes.

"Jesus Christ."

Elise delightfully approached him.

"You can have the first taste if you want, Gwynevere," Elise said, with him in hand.

"No! God, what the fuck is going on?" Gwyn stepped out of the room, and she saw Rodrick walking with a young and skinny elf, half his size. "Rodrick?!"

"Oh, Madam! Are you having fun?"

"Not you too…" Gwyn said, crestfallen.

"What? Enjoy yourself!" Rodrick said, picking up the young man.

"Yeah, don't be such a downer," the man in Rodrick's arm said.

"We're supposed to be searching for the dungeon!" She shouted.

A voice whispered in her ears.

"Do you mean that one over there?"
