Among them were Ao and Fuguki Suikazan, and even the Fourth Mizukage, Yagura, was present. Having become the Three-Tails Jinchuriki, Yagura possessed an immense level of confidence in his own strength; he was certain he could perfectly control the Three-Tails, much like Killer B of the Eight-Tails from Kumogakure. This was the unshakable self-assurance of a genius.
Inside the command tent, the Fourth Mizukage was deliberating with the other Mist Ninja when the ground suddenly began to heave and shudder. Everyone present froze in surprise.
"What's going on?" Fuguki Suikazan asked hurriedly.
The other Mist Ninja frowned. Could it be an earthquake? It seemed unlikely. This part of the Land of Fire wasn't known for such seismic activity.
"What is that?" The shouts of ninjas outside reached the tent, stirring the leaders inside. Had something truly happened?
"Let's go out and see," the Fourth Mizukage commanded.
"Yes, Mizukage-sama," the ninjas replied in unison before following him out of the tent.
"This is..."
The moment they stepped outside, they were greeted by the sight of several colossal armored warriors standing in the distance. Even though they were far from the actual battlefield, the sheer height of the Susanoo made them impossible to miss. They could feel the rhythmic vibrations traveling through the earth, and the nearby trees rustled and swayed as if a literal earthquake were occurring.
"Is this the power of the Susanoo?" Ao said, his voice trembling with shock. He had heard the legends regarding Tianyuan's Susanooafter all, it was a power capable of crushing a Tailed Beast.
But legends were always just stories until one saw the reality with their own eyes. Many Mist Ninja hadn't truly worried about the rumors of the Susanoo's power, but seeing the real thing today changed everything. As expected, a Susanoo was not something a regular ninja could hope to resist. To deal with such a terrifying entity, Kirigakure would likely have to sacrifice thousands of ninjas just to stand a chance.
The power in every movement of those giants was staggering. With a single gesture, they could cleave through mountains. Who could possibly block an attack like that? They knew they were a great distance away, yet the shockwaves were reaching them even here. That was the truly terrifying part.
"The supreme power of the Uchiha Clan?" Yagura's eyes were fixed intently on the horizon.
"Wait, that black Susanoo is Tianyuan... but who is that blue one?" one Mist Ninja noticed.
Indeed, it wasn't just one giant; two Susanoo were locked in a relentless struggle. That meant there were two wielders of the Mangekyo Sharingan out there. They had never heard of another ninja in the Uchiha Clan possessing such power, and since they were both Konoha ninjas, it made no sense for them to be fighting each other.
The display grew even more incredible as three more blue Susanoo appeared. Four massive giants were now tearing the very earth asunder.
"Too strong... it's just too strong. If that Tianyuan used that kind of power against us, what would happen?" some Mist Ninja muttered under their breath.
Who could resist such horrific force? In the Mist Ninja's previous encounters with Konoha, Tianyuan had primarily relied on the Flying Thunder God Technique. While lethal, its psychological impact was nothing compared to the Susanoo. Against a Susanoo, a person was like an ant.
Yagura stared at the battlefield. He knew the blue one was Madara Uchiha, for he too possessed the power of the Mangekyo.
"Mizukage-sama, should we head over there to provide reinforcements?" Ao asked, finally snapping out of his daze. They realized that the area under attack was the Mist Ninja's logistical support base. With that many Susanoo attacking, things were looking grim.
"Do you really think you can withstand power like that?" The Fourth Mizukage looked at Ao coldly. "Have the ninjas prepare for a possible defense. Even if these Susanoo are terrifying, the enemies using them only have a finite amount of Chakra."
The Mizukage's intent was clear: if they were to defeat the Susanoo, they would have to exhaust the user's Chakra first. However, he was perhaps being a bit too optimistic.
"Yes, Mizukage-sama," a nearby ninja replied.
The order was quickly relayed, and the Mist Ninja began their preparations. No matter how panicked they felt, they had to follow orders. However, if the Susanoo actually turned their sights toward them, it was anyone's guess how these ninjas would actually perform.
Elsewhere in the camp.
"So this is the power of the Mangekyo... the Susanoo?" A youth with a shark-like face stared at the distant carnage, a flash of shock crossing his eyes. Such power was something he might never achieve in his entire life.
"Kisame Hoshigaki, fall in for assembly!" a Mist Ninja shouted from the side.
"Understood," Kisame Hoshigaki replied quickly. But clearly, the image of the Mangekyo's power had been deeply seared into his mind.
"Susanoo... Tianyuan's power?" In another corner of the camp, Mei Terumi stared blankly at the massive giants. Every strike unleashed world-shattering force. Against such strength, her own Kekkei Genkai felt utterly insignificant.
"Tianyuan..." Mei Terumi gritted her teeth. Ever since the Chunin Exams, she had dreamt of defeating him, but she never expected the Great Ninja War to break out so soon after. And during this war, Tianyuan's performance had only become more legendary, his strength increasing without end.
The Flying Thunder God Technique, the power of the Mangekyo, and the Kekkei Genkai of Wood Release... these were powers that didn't just scare ordinary ninjas; even the elites of the various hidden villages were wary and cautious, terrified that Tianyuan might turn his attention toward them.
"I won't give up," Mei Terumi thought, a look of determination flashing in her eyes.
Meanwhile, far beyond the Mist Ninja's encampment, lay the Konoha base...
